Min Yoongi thinks that life with Kim Taehyung is enough, and it will always be like that for him. With the unwavering love that Taehyung showers him every day, every minute, and even down to a second, he honestly felt contented. Taehyung always made sure to let Yoongi know how much he loves him— how much he means to him. He made sure that every particle of his being will be able to feel his warmth.

So when Taehyung suddenly asked him something out of the blue, it made Yoongi stop for a moment. Cold immediately seeping through his clothes and down to his bones, freezing him, making him numb.

“Are you sure I’m enough?”

“What kind of question is that, Taehyung? You know you’re more than enough.”

“What about the things we have?”

“Everything we have is enough as it is, Tae, don’t be silly.”

Taehyung pauses for a moment, contemplating whether to ask him the question that’s always been buried at the back of his mind, he tried so hard to keep it that way but it kept on haunting him— leading him to this current situation; wherein Yoongi’s looking at him with glossy eyes that made his heart ache for letting his lover think that he doubts him still.

But isn’t it the case?

“Have you never thought of going back?”

Yoongi fixed him with a hard stare. It hit the nail.

“No.” It was full of resolution and Taehyung wouldn’t deny that it made his heart feel at ease

“I’m sorry”

“Don’t be”

I’m sorry that I doubted you. I’m sorry that I cannot give you the life you’re used to. Taehyung wanted to say these words to Yoongi out loud, but he guesses that Yoongi already knew and he would rather not hear it coming from him. It might hurt him still.

“I love you, Yoongi.”

“I love you more, Tae.”  

“Yoongi! I have a good news!” Taehyung shouts from the door, immediately running into their bedroom

“What is it, Tae? Wait, are you hurt—” but Yoongi was cut off by Taehyung’s excited tone (which is weird for someone with a lump on his head)

“I met someone today— and please Yoongi, calm down for a while I’m fine— so I was saying, I met someone today by accident, no pun intended, and because of that, he offered me a deal or more like, a job! Yes, Yoongi, a job!”

Taehyung grinned in happiness and excitement because finally, he would be able to give what Yoongi deserves. A life that he deserves. Taehyung can feel his heart racing because he’d be able to provide for Yoongi, not the other way around. Taehyung’s thankful for Yoongi, but he’d rather choose to be the one working, because he never wants to see Yoongi suffer anymore. Yoongi always stays up late just to finish a song for a music company, it’s a freelance job but it pays well whenever there’s one, but since it’s not on a regular basis, Yoongi has to work extra hard just to be able to save a lot for the both of them. But things will change now because Taehyung will have a steady paying job in a huge company.
