She gave me sad glances now and then, but ignored me when I spoke to her. There were times I chased her down the streets, shouting her name and ignoring stares from other people. Her mother threw all notes I left for her at her house. I stopped writing to her after that. One sunny afternoon, I saw her at the park. I watched as she slowly approached me. " You will never stop, will you?" She asked. " I just can't stop thinking about you". She reached up to me and touched my face. I closed my eyes. She ran her fingers from my forehead, down to my eyes and then, to the bridge of my nose and make her stop at my lips. She carefully caressed it as if it's a fragile one. I pulled her to feel the warmth of my embrace. I held her for the first time, breathing in her scent. She then pulled away with tears b in her eyes. Before I could wipe her tears, she left me there, alone without answers. I went to her home, hoping she was there. But no, she wasn't there. I turned my feet away from the house but something stopped me. I glanced back to Haerin's house and found her mother; her old and fragile mother , was making her way out of her house. I wondered where her destination could be. I followed her steps but still keeping distance with her as I didn't want to let her think that I was a .......... a bad guy with bad intentions. I looked up the building and saw a huge logo; standing proudly among the other buildings. " Cheil General Hospital ". I kept my steps in the same pace as Haerin's mother until she stopped at a room and went straight inside. I mumbled to myself "Room 1302". I knocked the door before entering and saw Haerin's mother standing beside a bed but with its curtain closed. "Ohh, it's you again. What makes you come here today, my dear? " she said . I was about to answer her but then the sound of curtain being slightly opened interrupted me. A doctor came out and he said " She's the same old her. She's in her stable condition as always . Well, for the last whole year actually. We don't think she have any problems . The problem is, we don't know why she can't wake up from her deep sleep". Haerin's mother just put on a sad smile and thanked the doctor. I was about to open my mouth but again , the curtains cut me. But this time , all the curtains were being pushed sideways, revealing the person inside. I felt that my heart was being stabbed hundred of times when I realized the person , laying the on the hospital bed, with a pale and sick face was the one I'm not expecting at all. Not in my whole life. Kim Haerin was laying on the bed. Tuuut......tuuuuttt..ttuuuuut..... I could only hear the beeping sound of the machines. I gave a sad smile to the mother and went out . I apparently losing my mind at that time. Thinking too deep about it . Until I saw someone's shadow covering my shoes. I looked up and saw Haerin. Suddenly I realized, why she couldn't love me back. Why she could never be with me. Why her mother ignored her.I fell to the ground and started to cry. " why didn't you tell me?" . "I'm sorry. I don't know how " . I kept on crying till my sobs were heard. I could see the tears were about to make its way down her cheeks but I knew that she was holding in. At the same spot for the past few months. Tch. It's really like a dejavu coming pass through me. I glanced lovingly to Haerin. Even though she had that face with barely no fresh color , she still looks as the same old her. Beautiful. I brought our intertwined fingers to my cheeks and nuzzled my nose against her hand. " I miss you so much, Kim Haerin. Can you just wake up? For me? For your mom?". I laid my head beside her and softly whispers " I'll wait for you".
