“There! Isn’t it better now?”

Yuri peered closer at the mirror, examining her wound.

Wow, it looks like there wasn’t any wound at all.

“Well…it’s a pretty good job done. Thanks.”

“Hmph, of course, I took medical studies before!”

Sunny boasted and patted her chest proudly.

Yuri had retold the scene before to Sunny as she listened in astonishment.

Wanting to cover up for the horrible wound so she could look good for Ho, Yuri had decided to engage Sunny's help.

Yuri snorted at Sunny's self-praise.

Sometimes, she wished she hadn't accepted Sunny's help.

“Yo Yuri, where are you going? Want to spend the afternoon with me?”

“Go get someone else, Nichkhun. I don’t have time to play with you today.”

“Aww…wae?”

“I’m going for a job interview. I don’t frolic around all day like you.”

“A JOB INTERVIEW? Stop kidding Yuri. Why on earth do you need a job?!”

Yuri spun around, giving Nichkhun a serious glare.

“Look here, Nichkhun. I don’t have the time to explain all these, so stop bothering me.”

Yuri recalled her conversation with Nichkhun as she clutched her bag tightly.

There she was, waiting for her interview.

It has to be a success.

She needed the money.

Terribly.

“Ms Kwon, I understand that you are a student. And may I ask why you need this job?”

“Because…because I need to pay my school fees.”

Mr Won nodded slightly and took another look at Yuri’s profile.

“Very well then, I’ll hire you.”

“You…you will? Kamsahamida, Mr Won!”

“Ne, but be prepared to run heavy errands despite your gender being a female.”

Yuri nodded in delight.

That’ll show the bastard that I can do anything even without his help.

“I suppose you can start work now?”

Yuri nodded once again.

“Okay, put this tag on first. It’ll show that you’re an employee. Then, I want you to locate the storeroom and bring me the box marked with our company’s logo. I know it’s tough for a newbie but it trains you up.”

“Yes, I understand. Don’t worry Mr Won, I’ll be back soon.”

Man, where is the storeroom?!

Yuri wandered around the large bookshop, hoping to locate the storeroom but to no avail. Yuri continued searching in despair when she stumbled into someone.

She was about to apologize when she looked up and saw the one she had been longing for so long.

Ho.

“H…Ho?”

“Yah, aren’t you that girl who cried that night?”

A smiling Ho looked back at Yuri who was staring.

I can’t believe it.

I actually meet Ho at a bookshop?!

Yuri managed to nod and produce a weak smile.

“So you’re an employee here now?”

“Ne, are you an employee too, Ho?”

“Yeah, I have been an employee for about a month now.”

“Ahh I see. By the way, can you show me the way to the storeroom?”

“Silly girl, the storeroom is just behind you!”

Ho smirked and teased a blushing Yuri.

Yuri turned around and there it was.

How could I have missed it?

Pabo!

Now you make a fool of yourself in front of Ho.

Just great Kwon Yuri.

Yuri headed towards the storeroom and found the box with the logo. She then sped up to Mr Won’s room, knowing that she had taken a long time. Mr Won however, was impressed by her efficiency and told her to tidy up books on shelves after that.

Yuri obeyed and time to time, as she arranged the books, she would steal a glance at Ho. As usual, he looked charming and sometimes, Yuri thought she saw Ho looking at her.

But she never dared to confirm her suspicion.

Work for her ended soon and as she was about to leave, Ho caught up with her.

“Hey, are you okay now? After that night that you cried…”

“Ahh ne, I’m really fine now. Thanks a lot for helping me then.”

“Oh it’s nothing really. Hey, do you want to eat with me?”

Yuri almost tripped on her own foot.

Woah, was Ho asking her to dinner?

“Sure!”
