Prologue/Teaser

When Jessica entered the usual high-end restaurant for their meetup, she groaned involuntarily as her eyes fixated on the female dressed in a red, fiery dress, probably worth a couple grand, accentuating her curves and physique to a T. Her name was Tiffany Hwang. Jessica hadn’t met her until two weeks ago when Yuri introduced the girl during their group outings. By the time dessert had made it to the table, all of her friends had warmly embraced Tiffany into the pack.

But not her. Jessica couldn’t put her finger on it, but there was something fishy about Tiffany.

“Jessica, over here!” Yuri called her over, catching the attention of their friends as well as Tiffany.

“Hey,” Jessica rubbed her neck embarrassedly and walked over. “Sorry I’m late. The traffic was crazy today.”

“No worries. We hadn’t ordered yet. We were too focused on Tiffany talking about her trip to Peru.” Yoona said, leaning into Tiffany, “which by the way, you need to finish telling us. So what happened after you saw that bear?”

Oh yeah, and apparently Tiffany traveled everywhere and did almost everything that most extreme explorers wouldn’t even do.

With the attention drawn away from her, Jessica plopped into her seat, silently debating on the brandy or just a glass of mineral water, but as she went to retrieve the menu she managed to catch the subtle gulp and shift in Tiffany’s chocolate brown eyes before she resumed with her story.

Interesting…

She ended up ordering the brandy.

Hmmm... wonder what Tiffany's hiding... if it's not obvious enough already
