Hey guys and girls. Before you start reading this story, I'd like to say a few words. I guess that's what foreword is for anyway(duhh). This is my first attempt at writing on this website. I have written fanfictions before, but it's on fanfiction.net, so you wouldn't come across it yourself, and I plan on not allowing you to, since I myself cringe over my stories so I shall not allow anyone else to. Besides, they're based off of an anime which is why you, my audience, are unlikely to be too interested in it.

Anyways, this is where I should put a fat DISCLAIMER sign as that would be highly necessary. I DO NOT know a lot about kpop and Korean culture. In fact, I barely know anything about them, which is why I'm gonna need your help a bit here. There are certain queries I have regarding the 'dating ban' which, as I've heard it, almost every kpop idol goes through... temporarily at least. And I'm also informed that this ban does apply to characters involved in my fic. I know more or less for sure, that the members of blackpink are under a dating ban. However I'm not well informed if BTS members are also under the ban or not. Any confirmations there would also be very useful. Anyways, I'd like to ask a few questions regarding the rules and severity of the ban. Any answers would be very much appreciated, and would go on to help me write this fic with confidence.

1) How strict is the ban? So like... does one get in trouble if spotted simply next to someone of the opposite gender? Or is it less strict than that?

2) Does the ban prevent idols from dating idols rather than just preventing idols dating normal civilians? In other words, under the ban, can an idol date another idol?

3) How bad are the consequences of breaking the rule? Getting contract terminated? Just a warning?

Answers to any of the questions and any additional details will be highly appreciated.

If you don't mind, I have another request to make. The terms such oppa, hyung, etc., I know very few of them, which is why I'm making another request for you to perhaps state the basic terms I should know. For example, I don't know what sunbaenim is. So if anyone makes a list of the basic terms I should know, that would again be very helpful.

As you could see, I don't have a cover for this story. Frankly, I have nowhere near the time required to sit down and make a cover suitable for this fanfic. Do not misunderstand me. I'm not asking you guys to make a cover for me. I'm just putting it out there so that no one expects this to get a cover image anytime soon, because it won't be getting one... well... unless... someone actually does decide to make me one... which would be... fascinating... or even if someone knows where I can get a cover for the story without having to pay any money... that too would be... fascinating... just saying... I'm not demanding it... just saying...

I guess I have nothing else to say rather than hopefully you enjoy the story. If I make a huge mistake regarding the scheme of kpop or Korea in general, please point that out, I'm open to my mistakes and criticism.

P.S: If there are any bits and pieces to the foreword which I can improve on to make it more attractive and appealing to the readers, please tell me about it. I was thinking about having character profiles but I'm really confused because there's a bit that says 'Do not post images anywhere. You will be banned immediately.'. I'm really sorry if I come across as stupid, but any help now would allow me to be able to make more fics in the future with confidence. Once we get to the actual writing bit of this story, I won't bother you anymore... hopefully. For now, please bare with how unattractive the fic will look from outside, and instead I hope I'm able to compromise for it with the story.
