Chapter 2- A few sophisticated brains

"H-Hello. I'm Jeon Jungkook of BTS. N-Nice to meet you too." Beyond my notice, I extended my right hand as a polite gesture. Only when I truly comprehended what I had done, the very hand began trembling as if it was an alarm clock. But now it was too late to withdraw...

Well of course, she reciprocated the handshake. But that didn't help my vibrating hand and my vibrating soul. A-Ah... her hand... it's way too delicate... do I still hold it firmly... in a masculine way? Actually no... I'd rather have her see me as a less masculine person than someone who mistreats women... so I guess- oh no... she smiled... oh no... why are you doing this to me... her smile... it's divine... why do I sound like a mental fanboy? Smile back, Jungkook! Just smile back and let it be.

umm...

Why are we still holding hands? Isn't the handshake supposed to be over by now? The longer we stay holding hands, the more nervous I'm getting. What do I do...

As both of us withdrew from the handshake, I still couldn't help but feel embarrassed for not introducing myself in a confident manner. Sure... she's very beautiful, and can make many, if not all guys feel nervous around her. But I'm not here to ask her out on a date or something of that sorts. I'm here to discuss a collaboratuon for a song. The recording of the song itself will be done here. However, for the music video, the two of us and the crew will be travelling to Japan. Not just that, the whole trip to Japan will be like a 2 week excursion, which pretty much means that there's also some other fun stuff that we'll be doing apart from filming the music video. The advantage in that is clearly that it would be 'fun stuff'. But the obvious disadvantage here is that Lisa(or however else I shall address her), will be the only company I'll be having apart from the rather busy staff members. Knowing myself, I don't see myself surviving more than three days in that case.

As PD-nim walks ahead with YG alongside him, the rest follow them as we head back towards ibighit's studio where further details of the project are to be discussed. Noticing that Lisa came towards me, my heart seemed to skip approximately 74 beats without any warning.

"Hi..." she said.

"H-Hey..." Nevermind three days... I don't think I'll last three hours like this.

"Congratulations for all your awards recently."

"Thanks... congratulations to you for a very successful first few months in the industry. I'd be lying if I said I weren't a fan myself." My comment did seem to amuse her as her smile grew wider and more contagious. Am I flustered? I better not be.

She maintained her proud and happy smile as we made our way inside the studio. Handshakes and introductions occur across the board, whilst I'm able to do nothing more than simply stare around. Not that I was complaining. 

As that's done, everyone is taken into the conference room, where the idea of the collaboration and the song itself is to be discussed. 'The interesting bit' in other words. Is it a slow song? A dance song? A hip-hop song? Could be anything...

"Right..." One of YG's staff members raised his voice as everyone settled down on their seats. "Good morning everyone. I'm Chung-Hee Suk and I work for YGEntertainment and I'd like to offer my kindest thanks to ibighit for having us and accepting our proposal for a collaboration. I'm sure the two idols are as excited as we are, and without further ado, I shall discuss our upcoming activities and of course the song itself." He clears his throat and continues as he glances at some papers he had brought with him. "In a week's time, we should hopefully have the song recorded in South Korea. We intend on having a dance song, which is why it's convenient that both Lisa and Jungkook-shi are good dancers. Furthermore, this song would require Jungkook-shi's vocals to contribute Lisa's rapping in the verses, whereby the chorus is a tune with minor vocal inputs from Jungkook-shi. Before the final chorus, there's also to be a dance break for the two of them to dance in. The title of the song is 'Deceptive', and adapts a slightly hardcore approach with strong lyrics and intense music." He switches the paper in his hand with another one, indicating a change in topic. "With that out of the way, here's what's on the agenda after that. A few days following the recording, the crew and the idols will be taken on a trip to Japan, for the primary purpose of the music video. Once everyone is there, the concept behind the music video will be discussed, which will then be filmed as soon as possible. As for accommodation, we have booked two villas
