아는 길도 물어가라 (AGM) - Big Hit's New Boy GroupTEASER O5
B ang Si Hyuk was known for being cool.
He was the chill boss, the one who aways had things under control and treated his artists well. He was the hitman who always put out the best music and could build a top group from the ground up even when the industry competition was the highest it had ever been.
He was currently having a mental breadown in his office.
Mere hours earlier a video of a few of the trainees had been leaked onto Youtube and already it was circulating around the internet, netizens abuzz with confusion and curiosity.
It would be one thing if the boys in question were actually part of the new group he planned to create, but he hadn't yet decided on a lineup.
More like he couldn't decide until Chae Young got back to him about the job offer, which likely wouldn't be for a few more days knowing her.
He sighs and buries his head in his hands. How to handle this? Announce the group now? Without a set lineup? If he did that he would have to include the six boys shown in the group, and he wasn't quite sure about how ready a few of them were for debut.
But conversely he'd have to take down the video and explain it was a leak, which would make the staff, and by extension him, look bad. And with BTS's comeback in the works that was also not a great option. Some people say all press is good press, but in Si Hyuk's humble opinion negative press right before a comeback was, in fact, very bad press.
Not to mention how it could reflect badly on the future group when he did debut them.
His fretting is interrupted by a short, sharp knock on the door, and he scrambles to make himself look less frazzled than he felt before calling for the person to enter.
To his surprise, Chae Young steps past the threshold and deftly closes the door behind her.
"Ah, Chae Young-ah, welcome! I admit I didn't expect to see you in here for a few days yet." He tries for cheery, but if there's one thing Chae Young does well it's see through people's bull.
"Please you're freaking out over the leak." She responds briskly, though there is the hint of amusement around the corners of her lips.
Si Hyuk clears his throat and laughs. "You know about it then."
She sighs. "It's extra revenue that we have to balance out. I've been fielding frantic accountants all morning." She tilts her head. "Are those six the project group I'd be managing?"
Si Hyuk sighs, not bothering to try for normalcy anymore. It wasn't like Chae Young hadn't seen him lose his cool before. "That's just it, there is no set project group right now. That was just supposed to be a reflection video for that group of trainees."
"Reflection video?" Chae Young frowns.
The CEO blinks, and then chuckles. "A clip they can watch afterwards to critique their own performances." He explains. He forgets sometimes that there are things that Chae Young doesn't know.
She nods slowly. "You're in quite the dilema then." She looks pensive for a moment, and then sighs. "Well perhaps I can lighten the load, if only slightly."
The CEO blinks. There's no way this is what he thinks it is, but by the reluctant look Chae Young is giving the window over his shoulder there's no mistaking what she must have originally come here to talk about. "Yes?"
"I'm willing to be the group's manager. But," She quickly continues, "Only on one condition. I want full control of their finances. I'll bring in assitance as I see fit, but I'm not completely giving up my desired profession. And I expect my old job back once the group is stable and popular enough to hand off to other managers."
It's the best news Si Hyuk has had all day. "You've got yourself a deal."
