Chanyeol is rambling. He always does everytime he's about to do something sweet for Baekhyun. He hopes the small guy will not realize but Baekhyun knows him too well for his nervousness not to get noticed. Baekhyun's birthday party just ended & it's now just the two of them walking by the park. It was Baekhyun's idea.

'Chanyeol-ah, let's not go home yet. I wanna enjoy this day to the fullest. I'm 22 now!'

Chanyeol remembers his beaming face as he asked. And ofcourse, Chanyeol can never resist his bestfriend. Pouting or not, he's the cutest person Chanyeol has ever met and if Chanyeol can, he'd give him the universe.

So here they are at one of the benches of their favorite park near SM. It's one of their favorite hangout ever since they became friends during trainee days. Baekhyun is holding a paper. It was Chanyeol's gift. But it's not just an ordinary paper. There are words written, words that are melting Baekhyun's heart right now.

"I-i know, it's crappy. I know it's not what you're expecting. Damn, I'm the world's worst bestfriend. I couldn't even give you a proper gift. But, Baekhyunnie, I swear, I. I mean, you're really important to me. I think you're my angel & I-"

And suddenly Chanyeol can't talk because his lips are already sealed by Baekhyun's trembling lips. Chanyeol stops breathing, his eyes wide open. What's happening? Is this really happening? Chanyeol's mind is screaming.

Baekhyun is kissing me.

Baekhyun is shyly moving his lips against Chanyeol's. Pushing himself closer just to feel more of Chanyeol's lips. Chanyeol doesn't know what to do. His best friend, also the love of his life is kissing him right now, on his own birthday. How did he get so lucky?

Then as soon as it came, Baekhyun is slowly pulling away after a few tugging of their lips. Chanyeol is still unmoving. Eyes wide, lips shaking and a bit red because of Baekhyun's kiss.

Chanyeol feels Baekhyun breathe sharply. He feels like he's also being inhaled. They are so close right now. Don't get Chanyeol wrong because personal space doesn't really exist in their friendship but they've never been this close. Their foreheads are touching, Baekhyun's nose & lips are just an inch away. This closeness is new and it was too much for Chanyeol to take. This closeness only happens in Chanyeol's dreams and Chanyeol isn't dreaming right now. The fact alone is making Chanyeol's heart burst.

"T-thank you," Baekhyun whispers against Chanyeol's face, his breathe ghosting everywhere on Chanyeol's radius. "I-I just, uhm, this was the best gift I ever got. You, you're the best. I-i don't think thank you is enough so, uhm, I just-"

Then Baekhyun shivers as he feels Chanyeol hold his chin only to pull him closer again. And finally Chanyeol kisses Baekhyun back. It took him 614 seconds but finally, he's kissing Baekhyun back.

Baekhyun feels like flying. He feels so soft and light as Chanyeol kisses him, sweet & gentle. His lips are shaking. Fair enough because he was shaking the first time they kissed too.

Baekhyun closes his eyes as he feels Chanyeol's hand cupping his face. It's so gentle, Baekhyun feels like crumbling. He can feel Chanyeol's calloused hand slowly caressing his cheeks as their lips continue to tremble against each other. Baekhyun tilts his head only to make the kiss more comfortable for them & it makes Chanyeol whimper.
