Taemin stared at the Gayo Daejun stage in awe. Magnificent was the only word that Taemin could think of to describe the stage that he is going to perform on. The stage has a full surround system complete with state of the art lighting system. Looking at the backdrop of the stage and you can already tell that Gayo Daejun was a grand affair. The back drop stood up tall, at about 3.5 meters, Taemin estimated vaguely. It was plastered with stained glass that came in every shade of color possible. Each handcrafted personally by talented craftsman. The tinted glass pieced out a backdrop of a church window. Seven similar windows stood side by side, circling the stage with its holy appearance. Each of the seven windows was contained in a gold frame that had intricate cravings on it, and was lit up by lights that shone the same dazzling color. 

 

“ Nice stage isn’t it? ”, Kai said as he approached Taemin.

“ Yea…”, Taemin could only mutter as he digested the breathtaking sight

 

The ‘twins’ stood side by side while the air hung heavily between them. No words were exchanged yet both of them knew exactly how each other felt. Taemin knew that this stage was his only chance of regaining his self confidence back. The only chance for him to build up his confidence that was demolished by his ‘ twin’. He is the acclaimed Dancing Machine of SHINee and he is definitely going to live up to his name. And tonight is the perfect chance to do so. He knew that Kai is most eager to strip him off his title. It is pretty obvious due to the fact that Kai has been doing extensive dance training since the formation of the group. But Taemin isn’t going to give up so easily. Even if his opponent is his best friend.

 

‘ To make SHINee the world’s best group.’ 

 

 Taemin closed his eyes as he remembered those words that he said years ago. That’s right. Those seven words are one of the remaining few reasons why he kept perfecting his dance skills. 

 

‘For SHINee and for myself.’ 

 

Taemin tried to visualize himself on stage,  practicing his steps mentally as he did so. Not even neglecting the slightest details in his dance choreography. No errors are allowed this time. Most definitely not. 

 

‘Perfection. That’s the name of tonight’s game.’

 

Kai took a glance at his hyung that stood beside him. Inferiority creeping into him as the magnitude of the whole event sets in. He wants to beat him so much. He had been craving for the day that Taemin will no longer overshadow him. Since young, everyone always sees Taemin as the perfect kid, while Kai is just simply a look-a-like. Nothing more, nothing less. Kai hated it. Taemin beated him at everything. Even his forte, dancing. And it drives him insane to see his bestie do better than him in his only strength. So when he was dubbed the second Taemin. He felt happy for once. Finally, he is finally on par with his hyung. He knew that Taemin its not going to back out that easily, therefore he had been training really hard. Kai was ambitious. Being the second Taemin was not enough for him. He wanted more. He wanted to be Kai. But can he really do it?

 

Kai let out and inaudible sigh and gave the stage a hopeful look.

 

‘This is it’ 

 

All that Kai has been working for. Condensed to just 0.38 minutes, is going to be judged and criticized by the fans. His success depended on it. And nothing is going to stop him now. Not even his dear hyung. 

 

A stern voice broke the silence between the two. It then asked the two to go backstage to prepare themselves for the performance.

 

The two males barely glanced and gave each other an reassuring smile before they entered their dressing rooms to don their ‘armor’.

 

The two dancers exited the dressing room with their smart attire. Shedding away their friendship for the time being, they headed towards the entrance of the stage to meet Eunhyuk, who was dressed in an equally impressive attire.

 

They waited anxiously for their turn on stage. And after what seems like eternity, it arrived.

 

The trio could hear the hectic screaming of the fans as they walked onto the stage and assumed position. Amidst the chaos, the  look-a-likes toned down their expression for a more solemn look. Focusing all their attention and energy to this performance. 

 

The familiar music started and the ‘twins’’s body corresponded instinctually with the same dance steps, yet each told a different story. One wishing to break away from the shadow that was he casted upon, while the other wishing for a chance to leave his mark in people’s mind. 

 

 

The game had started and may the best twin win…

I finally finish it O_O  YESSSSSSS ;_;  and the no. of subscirbers i had for this story shocked me O_O I hope i didnt disappoint you guys with this chapter ;_; tho i think i most probably did :L

Anyway, i did some in depth thinking after writing chapter one and i came up with the conclusion that...

SInce EXO's teaser alone are THAT good. THe SHINee's comeback SHOULD be equally impressive ne?
