Ring, Ring

Taehyung’s phone was ringing on the kitchen counter, and the only person there happened to be Jungkook.

The maknae checked the caller ID and squinted his eyes.

Putting it on speaker, Jungkook heard Bogum’s cheerful voice sing, “Hi! Is Taehyung - ”

“No, and goodbye.” The maknae hanged up.

Leaving the phone where he found it, Jungkook contemplated on making himself a strawberry smoothie, because Taehyung loved strawberries. As he rummaged through the pantries, Taehyung’s phone rang again. This time it was Minjae.

Before Minjae even spoke a word, Jungkook quickly cut in.

“Taehyung is not here. Goodbye Minjae. Don’t ever call again.”

Now back to his strawberry smoothie. Maybe Jungkook should buy some bread. Taehyung always showed off his radiating rectangular smile when Jungkook gives him bread.

“I’ll just have Jimin buy it later,” Jungkook muttered while he chopped up the ingredients and then tossed them in the blender.

Right when he meant to start blending process, he heard that annoying ring, ring again.

Checking caller ID, he found himself squinting his eyes, but he knew he couldn’t be rude this time around.

“Hello, Minho sunbae-nim,” Jungkook gave his nicest yet fakest tone ever. “Oh, is Taehyung? No, I’m afraid not … Leave him a message? Sure … Yeah, I wrote that all down … Okay, bye sunbae!”
