I was very lucky to be both a dancer and a makeup artist for SM entertainment. I've been working with Super Junior previously, but I was later assigned for Exo too.
So here I am right now, applying makeup on the boys. Kai stared at me as I held the contouring palette. "What is it? Did I do something wrong?" I applied it on his face, avoiding eye contact. He noticed and began to move his head around, trying to make me look into his eyes. "Stay still. What are you doing?" He laughed at me. "Alright. Alright. I'll see you later at practice right?" I paused for a moment. I didn't even know that he knew I was a dancer. Heck I didn't even know he payed any attention to me. I blushed as I thought about his question again. "I–I'll be there. Yeah." I fixed my glasses and tried to apply the lipstick on his lips. For some reason my glasses seemed to not work so well. "Not planning to kiss me now are you?" Without noticing it, my face was almost too close to his. I blinked a couple of times, staring at his smiling lips. I gulped and backed away. My face began to flush red so I turned away, pretending to pick a different lipstick. I heard him laugh again. I looked up slightly and saw myself in the mirror. I forgot about the darned mirror...he could still see me. I mentally hit myself.
  Chen suddenly came over to check on Kai. "Wow. You look so cool." I looked up at the mirror and found Chen looking at himself. I accidentally laughed out loud and he looked straight at me. "Aren't I? Don't you think so?" I nodded my head to him. For a second there I thought he was talking about Kai. Turns out that he was talking about himself. Kai coughed and watched me laugh. "Go away. We're not done here." Chen rolled his eyes and left. I somehow managed to finish Kai's makeup although it felt much harder to do today. They had a performance right now for Inkigayo. I was just newly added as a dancer so I was still learning the choreography for "Playboy" and I wasn't ready to perform with them on stage yet. The performance I'm in would only be done during their concerts anyway.
  I stayed backstage, cleaning the makeup brushes. I was in one of the bathrooms washing the brushes when I suddenly hear the fans cheer for Exo. I took the brushes and ran back to the waiting room. I always enjoyed watching the artists and of course I was a fan of those that work in the company I work for. When they finished, they came back to the waiting room. We all clapped for them when they came inside and they bowed. I patted all of their shoulders. Once I patted Kai, he looked at me and smiled. I gave them blotting sheets and tissues to wipe their sweat off. They changed out of their stage clothes and into their casual clothing. They didn't have much of a busy schedule today, so they were headed off to the company building to practice. I had to clean up and pack the cosmetics, so I would arrive a bit later.
  I arrived at the building with one of my friends—another dancer from the company. We opened the door and walked in the dance room. They were all just warming up. I put my bag down at a corner and began to stretch. I caught Kai eyeing me from the front of the dance room. I looked away and Chen walked over to me. "I'll teach you the choreography. They gave me permission to teach today." "But don't you need to practice?" "I will. Don't worry. I have plenty of free time today so I'll practice for the rest of the day." "Uh-huh. Whatever you say, Ducky the dance room slayer." I laughed and followed him to a corner in the room. I practiced the dance over and over. "Wow! You're doing great!" Chen clapped and gave me a playful smile, waiting for my comeback. "I just have a really good teacher." He nodded his head in approval. "Come on, try doing it with everyone else." I followed after him and practiced with everyone else. I watched myself dance in front of the mirror to check for any corrections. Kai moved forward and danced right next to me, guiding me through each movement.
  People were leaving one after another. It was actually getting late—no one even really noticed. I picked my bag up and opened my phone to check the time. *23:10 / 11:10 p.m.* Four missed calls...."Hello? Where are you at?...what!?! Don't leave. Don't move a single inch you hear me? I'll be there in a few minutes." I hung up and sighed heavily. My head began to pound.
  "You alright?" I looked up and found Kai looking concerned. "I'll be fine, thanks." I zipped my jacket and sped out of the building. I ran around the streets for what seemed like forever. I stopped at an outside bar and looked inside. I stomped my way over to a table and found him kissing some girl. I placed my hand down on the table and dragged my boyfriend out. He reeked of alcohol. "What are you doing huh?!? Why do you always drink while I'm away working?! And you're cheating on me!!?? How could you cheat on me?!" He pushed me and pointed his finger up. "Shh–sha—shut uuppp!! You—you have no right to tell me what I should be doing. You ff–fffuucc–n bit—ch. You s–sslluut." I slapped him. He laughed then he got angry. "You stupid!" He raised his hand up to hit me, but someone caught his wrist. I turned my head and Kai towered behind me. He glared at my boyfriend and tightened his grip on his wrist. He wore a hat and his hood was up to hide his identity. "W-who the fffuucc—...ooohhhhhh I see. You...you . So this...is this him?! Huh?! Is this the latest one? You call me the cheater?" My hands curled to a fist and my lungs felt like it was burning. My headache became worse and my eyes began to get watery. Kai looked over at me. His eyebrows furrowed. He let go of my boyfriend's wrist harshly, making him stumble a little. He took my hand and walked me away. "JUSSSTT LEAVE!! That's right!! You !! Have a G-good LIFE!" Kai ignored him and we continued to walk away.
  He said nothing to me while we walked. My heart was shattering. I worked day and night with multiple jobs just to keep my boyfriend and I under a roof. My parents always offered to help me out but I didn't want to burden them with my problems. While I worked, my boyfriend would spend his time lazing around during the day and getting drunk at night. There were multiple times that I caught him with lipstick on his shirt and unfamiliar female fragrances. Whenever I threatened to break up with him, he would accuse me of cheating and tells me that no one would ever love me like he does--if he did at all.
  Everything seemed to hurt. I suddenly burst into tears and Kai stopped walking. I stood helplessly with my glasses foggy, tears flowing, and knees weakening. Kai walked closer to me and hugged me. I cried in his arms for a while. He pulled away a bit, moved my hair to one side, and covered my head with my hood. "Do you live together?" I nodded my head and wiped my face. "I'm so sorry." I stared at his sweater filled with my tears. He looked down at it and chuckled. "Don't worry about it...come with me. Stay at our dorm for today. He'll probably be at your house and it's really late at night right now." "But...the other boys..." "They'll be fine with it. They might be sleeping already anyway. You can just sleep on my bed."
  We walked together to their dorm. The lights were off and the boys were already sleeping. He sneaked me inside and prepared his bed for me. "Where will you sleep?" I whispered to him. "Next to you." My heart jumped when he said that. He laughed quietly and smiled. "I'll sleep on the floor next to the bed." I nodded my head and lay on his bed. He gave me his blanket and a few minutes later, I fell asleep.

The next morning, I woke up and just remembered what happened last night. *Oh...My...Gosh... I'm sleeping in Exo's dorm...on Kai's bed...* I was afraid to open the covers. I heard distant familiar voices. Once I heard no one talking, I slid the covers away from me. I peeked out, looking around the room. No one was here. I fixed the bed and looked around the living room and kitchen. No one was around either. They must've left for a schedule. While I was sneaking to go outside, I bumped into someone. I caught sight of Kai shirtless and almost fell back. He caught me before I did, but my eyes grew bigger. His bare chest and abs were right in front of me! My heart began to beat like crazy. "Good morning." I looked up at his face to distract myself from drooling over his abs.
  All of a sudden, he pinned me to a wall and smirked. He leaned down to reach my height, pushing his face closer to mine. His arms were beside my shoulders—making it harder for me to escape. I gulped and we stared at each other. His phone suddenly rang and he picked it up. "Don't move." I would have slipped away but my feet felt glued to the floor. "I'll be down soon. Just wait a bit I'm almost done. Alright bye."
  He smiled at me and I started to blink a lot. "Go out with me." "I–I..." "I'm sure you know by now that I like you, so...go out with me." "I..." "I won't go anywhere unless you answer me." I felt my forehead starting to sweat. "Can you please give me some time..." His face showed a bit of disappointment but he smiled anyway and pecked my lips. He hugged me tightly and my heart was throwing fireworks. My heart was going crazy. Kai...was shirtless...while hugging me...and on top of that, he kissed me on the lips! Who wouldn't feel like going crazy? Was this really happening? I was taken aback by his sudden actions. "For good luck." He pinched my cheeks a little, then walked in his room to get a plain black shirt. He came back out and took hold of my hand. We left their dorm, but he checked for their van. I waited until he said something. "I'll leave first so they won't see you come out. Get to the bus stop and give me a call when you arrive." "Okay dad thanks." He placed one of his snapbacks on my head and ran to the van. I shook my head at him and walked to the nearest bus stop.
  I had just arrived so I called Kai but I caught sight of the bastard sitting in front of the building. I pretended not to see him and avoided him. "Hey! Hey!" He took my hand and turned me around to face him. "Please leave me alone. I'm through with you, so please just leave." "Oh come on. Don't tell me you're actually replacing me with that guy from last night." "I really need to work now so just leave me alone. I don't want to see you ever again. Do you understand me?" I started to walk away but he grabbed me again. "I'm going to scream if you don't let me go!" I prepared to scream and held my phone up to threaten him but he covered my mouth and he carried me to a hidden side of the building. My phone fell and I scram with his hand covering my mouth. I kicked the air to give him a harder time to carry me.
He shoved me to a wall and pinned my body, still covering my mouth. "You know I love you. But you always seem to be so busy. Why is that? Because of that–" His face fumed in anger before finishing his sentence. He shook his head, then forcefully kissed around my neck. *You bastard! I hate you so much!* Kai found my phone outside the building and ran around to look for me. Once he caught sight of me, he ran. He pulled my ex away from me and shoved him to the ground. He picked him up by the collar and threw a punch. My ex managed to hit Kai once and I whimpered. Kai ignored it and swung at him one after another without missing. "Please stop! Both of you!"
  Kai pushed him and he stood up and walked away, his finger pointing at Kai. "You'll regret this! I will come back for MY girl!" After he left, Kai walked over to me, and I cupped his face looking over the scratch on his lip. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry I got you into this." He lifted my chin up and his eyebrows furrowed as he looked around my neck. He pulled me in for a hug. "I'm sorry I came late." "I'm okay Kai...I'm okay now." He took me inside the building from a side door so no one would see us. We hid in one of the bathrooms that no one really used.
  I took a first aid kit and told him to sit down. I applied ointment on his cut lip. "How are you going to explain this to the boys and your manager?" He held my hand and smiled. "I'll take care of it. Don't worry." He slid his other hand around my neck and brushed his fingers over the bruise. "Let's cover these up...I have a turtle neck in my backpack in the waiting room. I'll go get it. You wait right here. I don't like seeing them because they're someone else's." He smiled at me and I hit his chest.
  I waited for him and finally had time to think to myself. I was finally broken free from a relationship so was I really ready for a new one? I took a deep breath and the door suddenly opened. Kai came inside and handed me his clothes. I took it and smiled. "Turn around please." He laughed and turned away from me. I changed into his clothes and giggled. "Are you done?" "Yeah." He turned to face me and laughed. It was obviously bigger than me, but it did cover my neck. I raised the sleeves up and tied the excess of the shirt with a hair tie to make it fit me more. "Better." He nod his head and was just about ready to leave the room. "Kim Jongin..." He turned around and looked straight to my eye. "Thank you...and yes. I will go out with you." His face lit up and he embraced me, lifting me from the floor. He stared into my eyes, his nose touching mine, and his breath hitting my lips. He smiled again and extended his lips to touch mine. My cheeks turned rosy. I closed my eyes and smiled. For once in my life, something finally felt right.
  He held my hand and chuckled. "Let's go. We're almost up" "Go first. I'll meet you at the venue. I'll just be in the waiting room." He gave me my phone and ran his fingers through my hair before leaving. As I had told him, I followed after and waited with the other dancers. I changed into our assigned clothing, and thankfully, I was given a turtle neck with it. I changed away from the other girls and neatly folded Kai's clothes. When it was finally time to go up on stage, we all danced together and the fans chanted out loud and cheered for Exo. I found Kai dancing in the middle of the stage. His facials were to die for and he hit each movement so perfectly. He looked so happy, and I loved seeing him that way. We both looked into each others' eyes at the same time and grinned when Baekhyun's part came up. "When you think it's too late, you've already fallen for me, it's out of your control."
