SPECIAL PRIZES
Drabble Challenge (CLOSED)PLEASE REMEMBER, THESE ARE ALL -TIGRESS-'S OPINIONS. YOU MAY NOT AGREE WITH ME BUT OH WELL, MY CONTEST LOL ;)
MOST CREATIVE DRABBLE was easily "Salvation", written in week 1 as entry #8 by the wonderful Amalya. The audacity and daring to take kpop and twist it into unicorns and whatnot was just amazing and I have to aplaud such a creative and cool drabble! (and now it's becoming a larger world, too, in her stories!)
THE BEST COMMENTER has to go to YuYuan. Every single week, before the voting deadline was even closed, she posted comments on the thread (not making a separate link to click on, either) that were several sentences (often times a full paragraph) for each storyteller. I really loved the care she took with the comments and they made me smile even though I didn't even write! ♡
THE MOST ACTIVE goes to fefedove. Not only did she participate in the writing and voting, but she actively left comments not only for every drabble (consistently!) bust also congratulations for the winners and even little comments in the in-betweens that made me smile. It's participants like this that really make running a contest worthwhile and fun!
THE DRABBLE THAT....
MADE ME LAUGH: OH come on, y'all know what I am going to say. Amidst all the angst of week three, there was the lovely little gem of #10 "Toxic". I laighed so hard when I read those final bits and I am even giggling as I think of it now. Totally clever and unique!
MADE ME CRY: Well okay maybe not 'cryyyy' but it certainly left me feeling just like "oh my gosh" in the blues. I'm talking about week two's #14 "Him". The ending lines (that I stupidly initially left off and omg what a mistake I'm so sorry once again!) just sent it from fluffy maybe romance into heartbreak just like that, and gosh that was so good.
MADE ME SCARED: Okay so it isn't the conventional idea of scared, but week three's #15 "Untitled" had me on the edge of my seat. even the thought of being buried alive, OMG, I can't. A fantastically gripping rendition of the prompt.
MADE ME FALL IN LOVE: Oh gosh, week four's #6 "Little Antirrhinum Sprout" had me feeling all kinds of romantic. The descriptions of the fall time atmosphere, the relationshp tidbits like the cuddling in mornings, and all the the final revelation... yeah. Like drinking hot chocolate warm feeling in the tummy. ♡
LEFT ME WANTING MORE! was absolutely week 2's #7, "Metamorphosis". The descriptions and the relationships were such a tease and I was so wrapped up in the story that when it ended, I was desperately wishing it were siply the back of a book that I could then flip to the front page and start reading! Seriously. If you ever expand upon that, I want to read it 0.o
MY WEEKLY FAVORITES:
WEEK ONE: number 15, "Untitled"
who doesn't love zombie/vampire stories? Oh wait, I don't. But this was well done and I was taken so much by surprise, it left quite the impact on me!
WEEK TWO: number 17, "Crimson Pink"
The Pocahontas feels. I can't be the only one who starting singing "Colors of the Wind" upon reading the first lines haha. However, the depth of your characters and the beautiful imagery and words that you used just made me love this. PLUS come on, it's Karam. lol.
WEEK THREE: number 21, "Come On"
In a week in which angst and the idea of being physically unable to breathe really took hold, this one stood out to me. It had that feeling of being unable to do things right that probably everyone has experienced and I loved how it was showcased in this short little unique drabble.
WEEK FOUR: number 10, "The Maiden"
THE CUTENESS. But even the adorable childhood imagination aside, I loved the imagery and the descriptions you used. You had moments where one could see glimpses of what was really going on, but it felt like a fantasy read and ended with such a perfect ending. Well done.
OVERALL FAVORITE: IT HAS TO BE THE MAIDEN. ♡
