Alls Well that Ends Well

Flirt of War

Soonyoung was a mess when it came to choosing clothes but she had to dress to impress Wonwoo, after all she was going out with him, well technically going to a party of one of his friends, but she'll consider that as a date.

So when Jihoon arrives in their shared room and a certain blue dress lands on her head, the shorter girl realizes something was up.

"Soonyoung!!!" Jihoon yells, getting her best friend's attention.

"Jihoonie~ You're back! Good! You can help me out." Soonyoung smiles widely and continues to search for the 'perfect outfit'

"Why does this place look as if your closet just vomited everything inside it?" Jihoon questions.

Soonyoung stops, still a handful of clothes in her hand and looks at Jihoon sheepishly.

"Well~ I got a date." Soonyoung leaves it at that. Although again it wasn’t really a date, he just invited her to a party, but let her consider it as such.

"What?!" Jihoon was in shock.

"No way! (Soonyoung just smiles likes an idiot) With who? With who Soonyoung? With who?" Jihoon grabs Soonyoung and turns the taller girl towards herself.

"You know~ The Librarian Cutie~" Soonyoung replies, smiling dreamingly.

"Woah! Wow! I guess all that flirting came useful to you." Jihoon replies, somewhat proud that Soonyoung was happy.

"Yep! And I even got his name." Soonyoung continues.

"Well... Tell me! Don't leave me hanging here." Jihoon urges the older girl to spill.

"It's Wonwoo~" Soonyoung replies feeling giddy just saying the boy's name.

Jihoon stops and repeats what Soonyoung says; "Wonwoo?" The older nods.

"Wonwoo?!" Jihoon yells in realization. "You're going on a date with Wonwoo?!"

"Yes. But why are you suddenly yelling at me?" Soonyoung asks, feeling confused by the younger girl's outburst.

"Oh no! This is bad." Jihoon suddenly mumbles.

"Why? Why is it bad?" Soonyoung asks, even more confused now.

"Wonwoo has a reputation for being a bad boy. Everyone in school knows that. He gets into fights and was suspended for almost two weeks because of that. I even heard he got himself almost expelled from getting into so many fights." Jihoon explains.

"Really? But he didn't seem like that type of guy." Soonyoung says.

"Trust me, he is. I can't believe you've been crushing on him all this time and you didn't even know who he was." Jihoon complains.

"I don't think he's a bad guy. Maybe you've just misheard about him. You know rumors aren't such great things to listen to." Soonyoung tries to defend Wonwoo.

"Soon... He's bad news. Break it off while it's still early. You'll only get hurt in the end." Jihoon tries to make the older realize.

"Ugh! Why? You don’t' know him. You can't just judge him based on rumors you've heard." Soonyoung replies angrily. "And besides, who gave you the right to tell me who to date?! What if I tell you to stop dating Junhui, would you do it?" Soonyoung rambles on.

"Why are you bringing Junhui into the topic?" Jihoon asks.

"Please! Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about. I know you two are dating and I can't believe you're keeping your relationship a secret from me. I mean I'm your best friend. Why can't you just tell me you two are dating?" Soonyoung continues to complain.

"Coz I know you'd act crazy about it. And why are you suddenly changing the topic?" Jihoon replies her temper rising.

"You started it first trying to badmouth Wonwoo." Soonyoung tells her off.

"I am not badmouthing him coz what I said is true. He's a bad guy! He's bad news." Jihoon replies angry as well.

"Well then maybe Junhui's a bad guy too." Soonyoung adds more fuel to the fire.

"Hey now! How dare you talk about Junhui that way?" Jihoon says angrily.

"What way? Oh like how he's a total jerk and is totally full of himself. He's probably only dating you coz he's bored and just wanted something fun. He probably doesn't love you and just wants to sleep with-"

SLAP.

Soonyoung wasn't even able to finish her sentence and was now staring at a hurt and angry Jihoon.

"Take back what you said! Take it back!" Jihoon cries angrily.

Soonyoung was not the type to make one angry, and Jihoon was the type to get fed up easily but knows how to control herself, so seeing her best friend crying and having a hurt look on her face. Soonyoung couldn't help but feel bad about what she said about Jun. But she was mad. Furious even, since Jihoon diss the guy she likes. Jihoon started it. So why should she feel sorry.

"You want me to take back what I said? Ha! Take back your words first then perhaps I might forgive you." Soonyoung scoffs.

"Then I guess you're fine with losing a friend. I hope you're happy with him." Jihoon says and walks out of the room.

It would be a lie to say that Soonyoung didn't feel bad. It would be a lie if she didn't feel bad for saying such words and wanted to apologize to her best friend. But it would also be a lie to say she wasn't angry with what Jihoon said about Wonwoo. And an even bigger lie to say that she wasn’t mad at herself for now thinking differently about Wonwoo. She was confused and don't know what's what anymore.

So few hours later when Soonyoung was in the house of a certain Choi Seungcheol and a lot of college kids were there enjoying themselves with the party. She felt a bit out of place and regretful but seeing Jihoon with Jun in 'said party' smiling as if they never had a fight, she decided that she shouldn't feel guilty and just enjoys herself.

So she walks to the table where the food was and starts nipping at the chips she managed to get hold of when a certain cutie came up to her looking all dress up, Soonyoung couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomach.

"Well you look rather dashing tonight." Soonyoung teases.

"Thanks. You look beautiful as well." Wonwoo compliments back.

Soonyoung's cheeks flush red from the compliment even though she knows he was being nice.

She stares at him and Wonwoo gave her a small smile. She smiles back then starts thinking about what Jihoon said.

'Could he really be a bad boy? He doesn't seem like it though. Argh!!! Jihoon's making me doubt him. He's not bad. Yeah! Jihoon... Forget Jihoon! She's not my friend anymore so why should her words bother me?'

"Everything okay with you?" Wonwoo brought Soonyoung back to reality.

"Ah.. Yeah... Sorry~ I was just.. distracted." Soonyoung gives him a small smile.

"Well then I'm sorry for being a distraction." Wonwoo slyly smiles.

" Well aren't you full of yourself? You're not the reason I got distracted. It was some-" But Soonyoung couldn't finish her sentence coz Wonwoo was gazing into her eyes intently.

"Perhaps you did have something to do with it as well." Soonyoung says softly trying to avoid eye contact.

He chuckles. “You’re really cute.” She felt her cheeks turn red from the compliment.

She slowly bits a few more chips when she choked. Wonwoo was caught off guard but he quickly pats her back until she was no longer choking.

“Chew slowly.” He tells her. She pouts

“Sorry.” She apologizes.

Wonwoo just smiles at her. “I’ll get you something to drink.” He tells her and leaves to go to the other side where the drinks were.

Soonyoung was so embarrass for choking in front of him and wishes the ground would just swallow her up.

A masculine voice disrupts her. “Well hello there beautiful~”

She turns to see a guy she never met before. Looking her up and down.

She ignores him, sensing trouble.

“Hey now~ don’t ignore me. Why’s a beautiful girl like you standing alone here?” He asks.

She didn’t talk. She didn’t even try to acknowledge his presence. She literally was sensing that he was trouble.

“Ah… Playing hard-to-get now are we? Don’t worry you’ll eventually come to me.” He whispers in her ear quite seductively.

Soonyoung stood frozen. She felt him getting closer to her. She feels his lips leaving her ear and moving towards her neck. His breath was warm but she was feeling cold.

“Don’t touch me.” She squeaks.

“Don’t lie. I know you like this. No one can resist me.” He says, his arms slowly snaking up to hug her waist.

His arms were now hugging her waist and he was dangerously closing in on her face. If she turns now they’re lips would touch.

Soonyoung took a breath. This guy was feeling her up and invading her personal space and she does not like it one bit. She was ready to punch this guy’s face if she had to.

“Get your filthy hands off her!” a familiar voice said.

The flirty guy loosens his hold on Soonyoung and turns towards the voice. So did Soonyoung and she was right. Wonwoo was standing there holding two glasses of punch yet his eyes were screaming murder.

“And what’s it to you?” The flirt asks him.

Wonwoo crumples the plastic cup with punch on it spilling all its contents, but he didn’t seem to mind that and smirks at the guy, eyes still glaring.

She felt a bit at ease seeing Wonwoo but a little scared of his gaze. But she focuses on trying to break free from this guy so while the flirt was distracted she took this as a chance. She steps hard on his foot which made the guy yelp and lets her go. He stood up and was ready to take hold of her when Soonyoung took hold of one of his arms and twists it behind his back.

“Ah! Let go! That hurts!” He complains.

“I told you not touch me.” She tells him. “I warned you but you didn’t listen.” She continues. He squirms in her hold.

“Don’t bother. I learned Taekwondo ever since I was 5. I’m a black belter so you can’t easily escape my hold.” She tells him, smirking at him.

By this time the other party goers had their attention on them. And as much as Soonyoung loves attention, she hates it when the attention is cause by trouble.

She looks at the crowd to see Wonwoo gaping at her in shock. Now she really wanted the ground to swallow her.

She looks away and locks eyes with Jihoon who was standing there beside Junhui, her eyes clearly showed worry. Soonyoung felt weak by her best friend’s stare, she ends up letting loose of her hold on the guy.

In a blink of an eye, she was now in the hold the flirt, one of his arms wrap tightly around her, while the other, the sore one, holding on to her face.

Shoot! She let herself get distracted.

“Now you’re the one in my hold.” The flirt smirks as he forces her to look at him.

Soonyoung suddenly felt teary eyed when a punch landed on the flirt’s face, letting go of his hold on her and was sitting on the ground now. She turns to her savior and saw Wonwoo waving his hands, wincing a bit.

Guess he’s really not much of a fighter.

The flirt stood up and was ready to throw a punch on Wonwoo when someone stops him.

The flirt turns to see two guys holding him down.

Seungcheol walks to the center, his face scrunching. “What’s going on here?!” He asks a bit angry that his party was suddenly ruined by a couple of troublemakers.

“Sorry Cheol. Wonho must have done something stupid again.” One of the guys holding the flirt apologizes.

“He’s always trouble. I thought you said he changed Minhyuk-hyung.” Seungcheol replies.

“Guess he needs a bit more time.” The boy called Minhyuk apologizes.

“C’mon hyung! Let’s go, before you get us into any more trouble.” The other guy holding the flirt said.

“Yah! I wasn’t doing anything. I was only talking to her when that Emo guy approached us.” Flirt Wonho defends himself.

Soonyoung raises her eyebrow at that. “Excuse me. You were invading my personal space and I was with Wonwoo before you come prancing along feeling me up, you ert!” Soonyoung seethes in anger.

“We’re really sorry. Wonho is a handful. We’ll make sure to keep an eye on him.” That Minhyuk guy apologizes again. He and that other guy drag Wonho away who was clearly complaining.

Seungcheol looks at Soonyoung apologetically and turns to the crowd. “Show’s over! Get back to what you were previously doing. Sorry for the disruption. It’s a party so let’s enjoy ourselves okay!” Seungcheol brushes the crowd off.

Wonwoo and Soonyoung were left standing there.

“So…” Soonyoung starts off. Wonwoo turns to her eyes unreadable.

“Thanks. For saving me earlier.” Soonyoung says shyly.

“I didn’t do much. You handled it on your own.” Wonwoo replies.

“No way! You were a huge help. If you didn’t come sooner, he would have—”

“I didn’t know you could defend yourself.” Wonwoo basically cut her off, not wanting to hear the words she was about to say. He turns away, not looking at her.

She gives a small smile. “Well I could fend off a few but I’m not that strong. You practically saved me though. So thank you.” She tells him and gives him a kiss on his cheek.

Wonwoo’s eyes turn wide and stares at Soonyoung who was red on the face, they both were actually.

Silence.

“I didn’t like seeing other guys around you.” Wonwoo says.

Soonyoung looks at him, she smiles. “I’m glad to know that.”

Wonwoo smiles back at her.

“Soonyoung.” A small voice calls her. Both of them turned to the voice and Soonyoung saw Jihoon approached her, Junhui following behind.

Jihoon stops in front of her at a safe distance. Soonyoung could clearly tell that Jihoon wanted to say something but she was hesitant. As much as Soonyoung wanted to hate her, she couldn’t. She was her best friend.

“Jihoonie~” She calls, the younger girl turns to her. “I’d like you to meet someone.” Soonyoung says with a smile.

Jihoon couldn’t help but crack a smile as well.

“Jihoon. This is Wonwoo. Jeon Wonwoo. The guy I’ve been telling you about.” Soonyoung starts off. Then she turns to Wonwoo. “Wonwoo. This Jihoon. Lee Jihoon. My best friend.” Soonyoung finishes off and smiles at Jihoon.

Jihoon felt tears spilling on her face. Soonyoung hugs the younger.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry for mistaking him for someone else. I’m sorry for not telling you about Junhui and I. I’m sorry for ruining our friendship. Soonyoung, I’m really sorry.” Jihoon cried, tears now on Soonyoung’s blouse, but the latter didn’t mind and continued to caress the younger.

“I’m sorry as well for saying such horrible words about Junhui and for almost destroying our friendship. Can you forgive me?” Soonyoung apologizes and lets go of the hug to stare at the younger girl.

“I could never hate you as much as you annoy me. You’re my best friend. You’re like a sister, from another mother.” Jihoon says, tears still spilling. Soonyoung wipes those tears away.

“You’re like a sister to me too Jihoonie~” Soonyoung says, tears threatening to fall from her eyes as well.

“Let’s start over again, yea?” Soonyoung tells Jihoon, the younger nods.

Jihoon continues to wipes her tears away, and pulls Junhui closer to her.

“Soon~ As you know now, but I want to tell you either way. Jun and I are dating.” Jihoon says, holding on to Junhui’s hand.

Soonyoung smiles. “Thanks for telling me.” Then she turns to Jun. “You better not make Jihoon cry or I’ll make sure you regret it.” Soonyoung warns, but then she laughs it off.

Jun laughs with her. “I’ll never do that. But if ever I do make Jihoon cry, I’ll make sure it’s tears of joy.” Jun reassures Soonyoung.

“Also… You better take good care of Wonwoo. He may seem cool and all but he’s a huge dork.” Jun tells her.

Soonyoung laughs again. “I’ll take note of that.”

Jihoon smiles seeing the two most import people in her life, laughing together. Wonwoo slowly approaches the trio.

Jihoon stares at the tall male. Wonwoo senses her staring and he looks at her with a small smile.

“Sorry for mistaking you as someone else. I thought you were Wonho. Its cause your names sound alike.” Jihoon apologizes.

“It’s alright. And besides Jun never actually introduced you to me, so I need to teach that guy some lesson.” He chuckles.

“Careful. I don’t want to see a bruise on him.” Jihoon tells him.

“Nah! My words are more powerful than my fist anyway.” He replies, smiling.

“Yah Jihoonie~ your boyfriend’s over here. Stop flirting with Wonwoo, before Jun misunderstands it. He gets jealous easily you know.” Soonyoung says, pouting her lips.

Jihoon laughs. “Are you sure you’re not referring to yourself Soon?” The older girl just scoffs.

The four of them laughs at Soonyoung; even Soonyoung finds her action funny. This was right. This is what she wanted.

Soonyoung stares at the three people who managed to turn her life around. She was happy to have met them.

Ha! I actually managed to update this, finally! this has long been in the drafts for quite some time now and I'm finally able to post, sorry for making you guys wait long, but I hope you liked it. It has become a fact, that I've fallen in the JunHoon hole and hopefully I could write a separate fic for them. that aside, I'm planning on writing a SVT X Twice & SVT X Gfriend fic coz I've fallen into that hole as well, though I've long fallen with SeokJu since their graduation but whatever.

Ranting aside. I'll try to update as much as I can. No promises though but perhaps I'll just finish all the pending fics on my microsft word before posting everything. Anyway, this fic has become random since 96 line is ruining me, I should make one for the 97 and the Maknae line as well, if I can.
