Chapter 1

    It was a cold icy winter day. One of those days where when you breathe out you can see you breath.  I was sitting on my chair, too lazy to get up. “Halla, get ready before you are late to catching your bus and so you can have time to eat all your breakfast.” Halmoni said. My parents died when me and my older brother were young. The only family relative that wanted to take care of me and my brother was our mother’s mom. As, we got use to living with Halmoni and many years came by, my older brother moved out and went living on his own. Then, it was just grandma and I living alone in our house.

    I got my uniforms on, took my bag and walked out of my room to the kitchen. “Good Morning Halmoni.” I greeted. “Come eat breakfast honey. I made your favorite, spam and eggs.” Halmoni said. My eyes widen and plops down on the chair. Once I finish, I get up ready to leave. “Thank you Halmoni, no one makes better spam and eggs than you do.” I said. “Hurry on now, before you miss the bus.” Halmoni said. I gave her quick hug, and ran out the door. I attended the school, Seoul High School, it was the most popular school of having a lot of students fight. I plugged in her earphones and blasted TWICE’s song, Cheer Up. “Cheer up baby, cheer up baby..” I sang. “WATCH OUTT!” A guy yelled. I didn’t hear the guy, as I was dancing to her music, I fell to the ground while the guy fell on me too. I looked up seeing another figure on me, I kicked him off and got up. “You dumb !” I yelled and kicked his leg. “Ow ow that ing hurt!” The guy yelled in pain. “Should’ve watched where you're going.” I said. “I yelled ‘Watch Out!’ But your deaf didn’t hear.” The guy said. “There he is!!” A group of guys yelled. “Oh , see you later ugly.” The guy said and ran off. I watched him run off and looked at the guys run after the guy.

School:

I walked into the my school, as soon as I steps foot into the school, I hears a high pitched voice calling her. “HALLA!!” A girl yelled. It was my best friend, Mira. Mira and I both met in detention, and we got to know each other since we both were trouble makers. I waved, Mira ran to me and hugged me. “Well damn, it’s been only a day and you miss me already. Aww thanks hoe.” I said. “Yah! You dumb , your leg is bleeding.” Mira said. “What?! It must’ve been when that guy fell on me.” I said. “And you just noticed it, you’re so dumb.” Mira said. “Ladies, less chatting more walking to your class.” Mr. Choi said. “Less being noisy more getting busy.” Mira joked. “One more disrespect from you and you will have another detention with me missy.” Mr. Choi demanded and walked off. I pushed Mira’s head, “Yeah dumb . Now help me clean up my boo boo.” I said. Mira took me to the nurse’s office, but left after she dropped off me because if she were to be late she will get another detention. “Nurse Joy, can you clean up my boo boo?” I asked politely. “Sure, hop right up.” Nurse Joy said. After, I was done, I walked out and bumped into the same guy from this morning. Except that he had bruises all over his face, “Watch where your….
