Chapter One
No More Dream
Mark stared at himself in the mirror, breathing deeply as his gaze burned.
"This was it."
He thought to himself.
"I'm finally debuting."

Mark was a little stunned when he was called into Bang PD's office.
Honestly, he thought he was in trouble.
"Hi Mark!" Shihyuk smiled as the younger walked into the room.
Mark smiled back, bowing politely before taking the offered seat.
"A-am I in trouble sunbaenim?" Mark asked, eyes wide with worry.
Shihyuk laughed lightly.
"Of course not! I called you here to discuss your progress."
Mark swallowed.
"Recently your talent has been shocking us all here." Shihyuck started. "And we all believe that you have much potential."
Mark nodded.
"So we've decided that we think now is the right time for your debut."
Mark was stunned.
"R-really?"
He had only been a trainee for 6 months.
And he was debuting already?
"Do you think I'm ready, sunbaenim?"
Shihyuk nodded.
"You are a young star. We can't wait to show you off to the world."
Shihyuk smiled again. "I'm glad that my company has managed to catch a talent like you."
Mark blushed at the compliment.
"So when do I start practising?" Mark asked excitedly.
"As soon as you can. I think the others are waiting for you in the practise room."
Mark left after thanking Bang PD for the opportunity, making his way down the corridors.
As he creaked open the door to the practise room, he noticed that the room was dark, with a faint glow coming from the centre of the room.
He flicked on the lights, and nearly jumped out of his skin as he saw a tall figure looming out if his peripheral vision.
"Congratulations!!!! You're debuting with us!" The tall figure said, and when Mark looked up, he noticed that it was in fact Kim Namjoon, the rapper that Mark had made friends with recently.
Behind him were 6 other trainees, one of which was holding a small cake with multiple candles sticking out.
All of the boys ran towards Mark, pulling him into hugs and wiping frosting on his face as he blew out the candles.
Mark couldn't believe how lucky he was to debut with these boys.

And here he was now.
Wearing enough eyeliner to almost render him blind.
Sweating under the bright bathroom lights in his leather jacket.
Memorising his lines.
Praying to god that he doesn't this up for the others.
"Mark, you okay?"
Mark heard Namjoon call out from behind the locked door in his deep American accented English.
Mark exhaled and swallowed, praying for the lump in his throat to go away.
"Yeah Hyung, I'm coming now."
When he left the toilet, he looked at his Hyung.
"You nervous?"
Mark nodded. "Yeah, a bit."
Smiling, Namjoon wrapped his arm around Marks shoulders.
"Don't worry, you'll kill it out there!"
"Thank you Hyung. So will everyone else."
Mark spoke confidently, hoping that he was right.
Hoping that everything would go smoothly.
Hoping that the hours and tears that all of the members had put into this would be worth it.

I'm sorry if updates aren't often.
I'll update as often as I can but college is beginning, so in sorry for slow updates.
