Chaeyoung left Mina with the doubt of being forgotten forever. Before Chaeyoung left, Mina gave Chaeyoung a ring with her initials engraved on it, “MM”. She’s hoping that this ring would remind her of Mina. She also gave Chaeyoung pictures, letters, and other stuff to help her remember better but Mina thinks Chaeyoung would just misplace all those. That’s why the ring is her only hope. Chaeyoung promised Mina that she’ll come back for her after a year. She’ll be in college by then.

Yearning days have passed and Mina still awaits Chaeyoung’s return. She’s currently in first year college. Although she’s full of doubts Chaeyoung would ever come back, she wants to believe that Chaeyoung’s heart would remember and come back for her.

Days, months, years have passed. No sign of the young girl’s return. Mina stopped believing, hoping. She’s only left with the thought: “I knew it.” Mina already graduated in college.
