Still in the coffee shop

            “Hyung,” Sungyeol started.

            “Yeah? What is it?” Sunggyu broke away from his thoughts and looked at his dongsaeng. Sungyeol had dark circles around his eyes, like Seungri from Big Bang, and a lifeless look on his face.

            “Yah…what’s with the zombie look, Sungyeol? Are you trying a new style? Because it’s not working for you,” Sunggyu teased. This caused his eyes to disappear and lines to replace his eyes. Just like whenever he smiled, the world would smile with him and his eyes would seemingly disappear.

            “You’re my guardian, right?” Sungyeol seemed hesitant to ask, but… “That means you can help me right?”

            “I…I wish I could, Sungyeol-ah. I’m just a Guardian Angel. As much as He favors me, he treats everyone the same way. I can’t help you. I can only use my powers when there is danger. I’m sorry, Yeollie.”

 Sunggyu gave a small but sad smile and reached across the table to comfort Sungyeol. His gaze was solely on his coffee and his fingers were tightly grasping the mug of, now cold, coffee. The pain in his heart was nothing compared to the pain he felt when Michael, his older brother, cast their younger brother, Lucifer from Heaven and into Hell. It was much worse. His chest felt tight and his heart clenched in pain, thinking about what Sungyeol was going through. His brother, his charge, this person that he knew since he was born was dying… And at the end of the road, he would be the one to take away his life. It wasn’t fair. Though he was warned of this when he became a guardian, he couldn’t help it.

Rule 1: Never fall in love with your charge- that wasn’t a problem because he had Woohyun, so he didn’t have to worry.

Rule 2: Don’t get attached- This…This was the cause of his pain. His superior told him that in the end he would be the one to take away his life, and that he shouldn’t be too attached otherwise he would get hurt. Too late…

Rule 3: Don’t get involved with your charge. Human and angel offspring are forbidden.

There were so many more, but these were the ones that he could remember at the top of his head.

            “Its okay…I just…wanted to ask,” Sungyeol forced himself to look up at his hyung and say this.

            “I’m trying my best though…” Sunggyu couldn’t help but whisper. Hoping Sungyeol didn’t hear of his plans.

            “What?” Sungyeol seemed to cheer up, even if it was fake. Sunggyu sighed in relief. Even if he wasn’t happy, he seemed to always put up a mask. That mask that hid his true feelings, even if it was considered bad, it gave Sunggyu relief. Relief that he didn’t have to explain what was going on.

            “Ah…it’s nothing, Sungyeol. I want a piece of cake…Chocolate cake. What about you? I’m treating today, remember?”

            “I want another cup of coffee!” Sungyeol exclaimed with sparkles in his eyes. Coffee seemed to cheer him up. But truthfully, coffee was bitter unless you put sugar in it. It reminded him of his life. It was bittersweet. He lived a happy life and he still did, but the approaching day was coming.

He gave up the one he loved, he set him free… Even if he couldn’t be happy, at least the one he loved would be, right?

“Myungsoo…How are you today. Are you happy?” Sungyeol couldn’t help but think.

“Excuse me, Miss!” Sunggyu called the waitress. She wore the typical uniform for waitresses at a café. She wore a white button-down, collared shirt, black pants, a nametag, and an apron.

“Yes? What would you like to order?” She asked.

“I’d like a slice of chocolate cake and a mocha frappe, please,” Sunggyu ordered first. “Sungyeol, what do you want? I said I would treat remember?”

“I would like another large coffee and chocolate cake too. Oh, and an ice coffee to-go, please. Thank you!” Sungyeol seemed to enjoy destroying his hyung’s wallet.

“Okay, please just a wait a few minutes. I’ll be right back out with your orders. It seems we’re a little busy right now. I’m sorry.”

“That’s okay, we can wait. How much is all together?” Sunggyu asked.

“It’ll be $25 in total.”

“Chincha? Aish, oh well,” Sunggyu said, “Is it okay to pay now?”

“Yes, of course.”

“I’ll be right back Sungyeol.”

“M’kay, hyung.”

Sunggyu walked over to the cash register and was about to pay when he spotted a chocolate cake with beautiful decorations. It was in the refrigerator, lined up with other the other cakes in a row. It was number 4. It was decorated with white frosting, chocolate, strawberries, and other fruits. It looked delicious, and he was sure Sungyeol and Sungjong were going to love it. He was going to bring Yeol to visit Sungjong and Woohyun.

(A/N: The cake, doesn't it look delicious?!  By the way, here's the container it's in, if you were wondering...Sorry...)

“Sir? Sir? Are you alright?” The waitress asked.

“Oh yes, I’m sorry. I was just wondering what kind of cake I should bring to visit a friend.”

“Oh, have you seen one that catches your eye?”

“Ah, yes. Number four.”

“That’s a great choice. Would you like it in a clear or opaque box?”

“Opaque please. So my order was $25 in total? How much is the cake?”

“The cake is 35 dollars. So your total is $60.”

“Okay, thank you,” Sunggyu said as he paid for the coffee and cakes. The waitress/cashier took the money and took the cake out of the refrigerator to put in the box. She placed the cake on the counter and also got the rest of their order out: A large black coffee, a mocha frappe, two slices of chocolate cake, and an ice coffee to-go.

Sunggyu picked up the cake and followed the waitress back to his table. Sungyeol looked up at him with a curious expression and ask him what he was carrying.

“A cake for you, Hyunnie, and Jongie.”

“Can I see it?” Sungyeol gave him the puppy dog eyes and pouted his lips. He even tilted his head and used his hands as paws. The waitress put their order down and bid them a good day. Only to be ignored.

“Not until we get to Sungjong’s house.”

“Awww, why?”

“Cause it wouldn’t be fair since I bought it for you three, and you got to see it first. It’s suppose to be a surprise.”

“But hyung! I love you, hyung. Pleaseee~”

“No….”

“But…”

“Nope, don’t even try it. Let’s finish the coffee and cake and get going, okay?”

“Ne, Sunggyu-hyung.”

“Good boy.”

“I’m not a dog…” Sungyeol said wearily. Sungyeol finally picked up his mug of coffee and took a sip.

“Ew…It’s cold…”

“Whatever. Let’s hurry.”

“Stop rushing! I’m trying to drink this! If you rush me when I’m drinking cold coffee, it’ll taste even worse! I have to TRY and savor the warmth.”

“Are you crazy?” Sunggyu asked with his small eyes wide open.

“No! Are YOU crazy?”

“I’ve lived a long time…Insanity gets to everyone so, basically, everyone has a bit of insanity in them…”

“You’re nuts….”

“You’ve finally figured it out? Seriously?”

“Shut up, hyung.”

“Be nicer to your hyung!”

“No.”

“Palli!!! Palli!!”

“Don’t tell me to palli! I feel like I’m in the toilet and someone’s telling me to palli palli. I can’t rush going to the bathroom and I can’t rush drinking coffee!”

 Sungyeol had an unusually passionate face on as he said this. This only added to his choding-ness, if it even counted as a word.

“Sungyeol…You’ve only started on your second coffee while I just finished mine…I’m also half-way done with my slice of cake as well!”

Sunggyu had an exasperated look on his face as he saw how much Sungyeol had eaten. Only about an eighth of the slice of cake and only half of his coffee! This is going to take forever…..Sunggyu quickly stuffed the some of the cake in his mouth and swallowed, nearly choking on it. Then he tried to stuff the rest of it into his mouth only to choke.

“Ack!” Sunggyu choked on his cake. Sunggyu’s eyes were the widest anyone had seen. They were small before, but now you could actually see them! Sungyeol gave him a strange look and asked him if he was alright. Sungyeol continued to sit there obliviously and watch as his hyung choked to death. Sunggyu started to pound his chest with his fist and tried to force the piece of cake out.

“Ackkkkkfskdghigng,” Sunggyu made a weird choking sound and Sungyeol had finally realized what was happening. He quickly moved to his hyung’s side and started to hit his back and after multiple hits, the cake finally came flying out of his mouth and into Sungyeol’s coffee cup.

“MY COFFFEEEEEEEE!” He wailed. “This is all your fault! Why’d you have to chokeeee!!! NOOOOO! My precious!!” Sungyeol held onto his coffee mug with a teary look in his eye. If he was an anime character…He’d be in the corner growing mushrooms. No…There would be a dark and depressing aura around him and crocodile tears would be appearing.

Sunggyu just stared at him with an incredulous, WTF look.

“THAT’S ALL YOU SAY AFTER I CHOKE?! Nice to see you care about me…”

I’m sorry. I’m typing this up on the website right now and I’m not feeling to good. Aish, I always seem to get sick on holidays. Sorry guys, I can only go this far till I feel better. Thank you to the subscribers and all the reviews. I’m sorry I can’t name you all right now, but I’ll be sure to mention you all in my next A/N. By the way…

           Thank you for reading, reviewing, and subscribing. You made my day! Seriously…My entire day was spent in bed sleeping…I just woke up and decided to type part of a chapter. Then I realized that I typed it on the website and I didn’t feel like redoing it…So I decided to just post this part up. I decided to make this chapter kinda happy-ish? Hahah I hope it made you laugh, even if it was a chuckle. Sorry, if it didn’t, but I tried.... I’m out of it right now so yeah… I’m also VERYYY sorry for leaving it like this…For a few weeks I won’t have time so if I don’t end it like this, I’ll get an idea and then it just ends up messy if I try to write when I’m tired and busy.

By the way….It will be MYUNGYEOL. The ending….I’ll give you a clue…It’ll be either a realllllllly depressing chapter, or a reallllllly weird but happy ending. WHO HAS A PAIRING FOR SUNGJONG?! GUY OR GIRL IS FINE!  I need to figure out who to pair him with! Or else I might make him the bad person….and then I’ll make him the forever alone Sungjong!!!! :( Don’t like. My friend is a HUGE fan of Sungjong so yeah... She’ll kill me if I don’t give him a pairing.
