“MORNING, SLEEPYHEAD,” you heard someone mumble into your ear and you let out a small groan in response. “You better wake up soon if you still want to go to the carnival. Today is the last day!”

“Five… more… minutes…” you said, your head already turned to the other side, but your boyfriend suddenly attacked your sides by tickling, causing to you burst out laughing and surrendering yourself to him. When you finally opened your eyes, you were then met with a maroon-headed Sehun who was smirking down at you. You immediately let out a groan at the sight, causing Sehun to suddenly frown at your reaction.

“What?” he said and even slightly pouted. “You don’t like it?”

“You are not allowed to do this to me at eight o’clock in the morning!” you shouted as you buried your face in your pillow. “How dare you!”

He was probably baffled with why were you shouting at him for no particular reason—actually, you had a really good reason. One would think that anybody that woke up early would look like they needed at least ten cups of coffee, more or less. And then, there was your boyfriend who looked so fresh and sleek that you couldn’t help but hide your face in embarrassment. Honestly, it should be a crime to look this good in the morning.

When you secretly took a peek at your boyfriend, you noticed that he was wearing a light grey crew neck tee-shirt underneath the jean with dark hues jacket, with a pair of slightly acid washed skinny jeans. You almost cursed out loud, because jeans-with-jeans is a big fashion no-no—everybody knows that—and your boyfriend was proving it wrong. It was just not right!

“Come on, babe.” He pecked your whole face while you’re trying to swat him away. “Wash up and we’ll go for breakfast at your favourite place.”

Your eyes peeked out from under the covers and he smiled in adoration as you muttered in a small voice, “And I can eat everything I want and you’ll finish anything that I cannot finish?”

Sehun laughed at your comment as he slowly pulled you up to his lap. “Sure thing, but I thought you are still on weight-watch?”

You grumbled unhappily at his words and poked at his chest. “Just because your season is over and not mine…”

“Technically, we don’t really have an off-season,” he replied. “Boot camp is starting next week.”

“Already?” you said as you got up from his lap and made your way to your bathroom. “It’s just for the weekend, right?”

Sehun cooed and came into the bathroom to hug you from behind as you brushed your teeth, propping his chin on your shoulder. Although you would usually brush him off for being so clingy, especially this early in the morning, you didn’t because you already started missing him even though he hadn’t left for the boot camp yet. And perhaps, Sehun felt it too, which is why he started acting more affectionately than usual. After washing up, you went to your wardrobe to decide on an outfit to wear while your boyfriend is sitting on the edge of your bed, his eyes filled with admiration as he stared at you changing.

You couldn’t help but blush at the eye-contact he was giving you through your mirror. Not to mention how you were just in your bra and .

How you ended up with Sehun as your boyfriend will always remain a mystery. How you ended up with such a perfect boyfriend—you thought maybe Mother Theresa was your past self—because honestly, sometimes, you thought that you simply just didn’t deserve him. Not when you were probably the hardest girlfriend in the world to deal with, especially with all your problems concerning school and outside activities. But Sehun understood that and he fully supported you in everything you did, even if sometimes, it did lead to a few arguments and confrontation.

But that’s what being in a relationship meant; to go through thick and thin with your significant other and to love each other despite one’s flaws and mistakes.

At that moment, you didn't understand but you just felt yourself being overwhelmed with how much you loved Sehun and how much you just wanted to stay with him for the rest of your life. So, you just dropped your pair of AA jeans to the floor and walked back to your boyfriend, who raised an eyebrow at your sudden action, and wrapped your arms around Sehun’s neck as you kissed him on the lips.

Sehun moaned at the sudden kiss but made no action to stop you. Instead, he put his hands on your hips, pulling you closer. You smiled at how eager he seemed, but then again, it has been a while. You stole a peek over at your clock that was on your nightstand and let out a small hum before pushing Sehun down to your bed.

The carnival can wait.

“OH, MY GOD, SEHUN!” you exclaimed with a huge gasp and turned to your boyfriend who was driving the car. “That was a red light!”

“Babe, if you want to make it to the carnival on time and have a go on all the rides, then don’t complain about how I drive,” he mumbled as he placed a hand on your thigh, massaging it at the same time to calm you down. “And besides, whose fault is it that we're late?”

You sputtered as you tried to find a counter-argument while fanning your cheeks at the same time. It’s true that it had never been in your character to initiate anything related to , but Sehun was just sitting there on your bed and you were already half-. “Whatever,” you ended up saying and took a bite off your bagel.
