Turquoise Eyes
Description
He had fair skin and wavy, light-coloured hair. But what struck her the most, was his eyes.
His eyes.
They were a colour of calm sea-water. Though tranquil at first, but the longer she fell into the misty abyss of his eyes,
the more she could hear waves crashing against the rocks and the wind roaring against her ears.
He was a vampire, but his eyes reminded her of a merman.
Princess Miko was the perfect princess.
With velvety raven strands that cascade down her back like a fluttering waterfall and skin so pure and white
that snow would seem dirty next to it, she was the pride of her country. Or, to be more precise, she was raised to be
the pride of the country. Whilst the humans battled the Vampires, Princess Miko remained locked up in the castle - safe
and sound away from the sun and sweat and blood. Her tender skin never known to hard work and her blood never
known to boil under the scorching sun. Princess Miko was the perfect princess.
She was the perfect princess to offer as sacrifice to the Vampire kingdom.

This was a short story that just spurred off the top of my mind for the contest. I quite enjoyed the process of writing this story, and
