In a world filled with magical creatures who flew about with golden specks of dust on their backs while gathering seasons, there was just one rule: Faeries of the Seelie court cannot cross over to the Unseelie court, and vice versa. One simple rule... But a certain emo warm fairy broke it.... Well a certain group of warm faeries did.... But the emo warm faerie started it.... It was his fault.
 

There are all sorts of magical and mysterious creatures that are hidden in this world. Some call them mythical creatures, legends, characters from a child’s storybook, etc., but this story just focuses on one of those “mythical creatures”; they are known to be the ethereal creatures with delicate features, they are called ‘The Fair Folk’ or in layman’s term, ‘Faeries’.

The fair folk live within a realm called “The Land of Everlasting Change”; there they are divided into two groups called the Seelie Court- consisting of the summer, autumn, and spring (or just typically grouped as ‘Warm’) faeries- and the Unseelie(or Winter) Court- consisting of the winter faeries. Faeries within the Seelie court are much more jubilant and charming than those faeries in the Unseelie court who are often vulgar, devious, and brusque. Both sides aren’t very compatible, but both need each other for their world to survive; The faeries in the Seelie court give resources that the Unseelie court does not have within their range due to their territory’s weather and condition, this event also applies vice versa.

There is one major rule in the land- there is a border separating the two groups and you cannot trespass to the other court’s territory. Meaning, if you’re a fey within the Seelie court, you can’t cross over to that of the Winter court. The same rule applies vice versa to those of the Unseelie court. Though, this rule didn’t exist during the first generation of faeries.

During the first generation, when faeries were brought into this world from the union of angels and demons, the said rule was not existent and both groups tried crossing the borders of the other… It was then they realized the consequence of this action. Whenever a faerie from the Seelie court crosses the winter courts territory, their wings freeze, dry and then crack. If a faerie from the Unseelie crosses over to the others territory, their wings dry and wither. They tried finding a cure but not one clue was ever found for treating the wings of those who crossed the border.
