Chapter 4
You Don't Owe Her Anything"Wheein! You've got to hurry up, the next team needs you."
"Okay unnie, I'm just finishing up here and I'll be right over."
Today was especially busy in the office causing the poor puppy to be running back and forth. It didn't help that her encounter with Moonbyul in the morning had caused the girl to be thinking about the perfect ashy blonde hair with bangs that frames the face of the detective oh so perfectly and-
Snap out of it Jung Wheein, you have work to do.
Quickly finishing up in her current station, she collects her materials and shouts, "Unnie, who's the next team?"
"Go find desk 24A, they said someone would be expecting you."
"Ok!~" Desk 24A was on the other side of the building and also happened to be near the kitchen where she greets Moonbyul every morning. While not wanting to keep the next team waiting and secretly hoping to catch a glimpse of the taller girl, she sprints and knocks into something, rather someone.
"Hey-watch where you're-" Wheein looks up to meet the gaze of the familiar blonde bangs, "oh, um. I'm sorry, was in a rush."
"No no, it was my fault," Moonbyul flashes a reassuring smile. "Where you heading towards?"
"Desk 24A! I don't wanna keep them waiting."
"Oh what a coincidence, that's the desk right next to mine, come on I'll take you."
Wheein sheepishly nods while keeping her head down to not let Moonbyul see the red tint on her face.
Moonbyul guides the small puppy follow behind her to man furious typing behind a desk who Wheein can only assume is the owner of Desk 24A.
"Hi, I'm Wheein I was told to help your team out," stretching a smile and a hand for the man.
