First Love

Bomi stood at the far back of the auditorium where the play will be held. It was two in the afternoon and most of the students were still at the backstage preparing. Bomi was left there, directing the lights, with Naeun who was now assigned to help her, although Naeun obviously can’t do anything. Naeun can’t help her at all because the younger girl is busy with thoughts far related from the play.

“Bomi unnie… aren’t you Jung Eunji’s first love?” Naeun asked finally, staring at the older girl with curiosity. Bomi, who easily understood where the conversation is going, grinned widely and nodded.

“Yeah sure, if you ask the dictionary of the technical definition. She always has loved me… But if you were to ask Eunji, she won’t say that. I’m not her first love…” Bomi pretended to even not care about it, as if it was just some other topic.

“E-eeh?!?! Who? IF you are not her first love, then who is it?!” Naeun bombarded Bomi with questions then. “Does she go in this school? Or did she graduate already---?”

“Yeah, she already graduated here. Three years ago, that is.” Bomi cut her off then, as she pressed some keys to turn on some light. Just then she wiped the growing sweat on her neck before finally facing Naeun, who was so intrigued about her statement.

“Eunji always love me that she doesn’t consider me her first love. Four years ago, she was head over heels about this girl, that’s her first love. Her name is Park Hyeji, for your information.” Bomi informed, shaking her head at the forever processing brain of Son Naeun. “She’s a really beautiful girl, much more beautiful than you. And well she’s about three years older than Eun and I. She’s a promising fashion designer in the States.”

Naeun groaned, hitting her head lightly on the wall with inaudible mutters. “Just how many girls follow Eunji around?! Gosh, I can’t believe her!”

“Hmmmm… Park Hyeji by the way a really beautiful lady... I almost liked her too, if Eunji didn't claim dibs on her first haha!"
