lets play a game


   

Seongwoo was sitting in his apartment living room as his roommates Daniel (Wanna One) and Jisung (Wanna One) were setting up the board game that they were going to play. He looked at his phone as heard a knock at the door. He looked out at the door video thing as he smiled to himself as Jookyu was standing there as his expression soured as some others from work were behind her. He changed his expression as he opened the door. "Hi guys! Come on in!" He said 

"Oh they aren't here for the game night. There was a murder down there." Jookyu pointed to where Kymin and Soojin were taking photos. "Hyunwoo has to talk to you and your roommates and I can't come." Jookyu was holding a clipboard and having her medical exmainer jacket on. 

Seongwoo nodded as he looked at the new board game packaged up holding out to him from Jookyu. He took it as he looked at her. "Why are you giving this to me?" He asked 

"It was in your wishlist. It is a thank you." Jookyu walked off down the hall to Yixing. 

Hyunwoo looked at Seongwoo as the boy looked a dejected puppy. "Don't worry, you've got farther than I ever had." He crossed his arms. 

"Oh and what is that?" Seongwoo grumbled to himself

"I was just saying that to get that stupid look off your face." Hyunwoo caught his door. "I really do need to talk to you all." He said as he watched Seongwoo wave his roomates over. 

"Which one is your noona?" Jisung asked as Seongwoo motioned to Jookyu helped Yixing lift a body bag on the stretcher. 

"You nerds can fanboy later. Did you know the victim?" Hyunwoo asked 

"No, he moved in just a couple days ago. I really only interact with them two and you guys at work snice I am always there." Seongwoo said 

"I mean besides saying hello in the hallway, we don't know him. Plus we have only said hello to him like once." Daniel said as he nodded to Hyunwoo. 

"Okay, well call me if you think of anything." Hyunwoo handed him his card as he walked off. 

"Go to the lab!" Soojin pointed at Seongwoo. "Jihyo is at a charity function and we need you there. If you get there quick enough then you can fire up the morgue's new tech center instead of the day guy." Soojin said as Seongwoo barreled through his roommates. Soojin snapped two pictures of Jisung and Daniel. "Thanks." She walked back down to Kymin

"I am getting the same thing form all the tentants on this floor. They barely knew the guys, moved in a few days ago. only see him a few times in passing." Hyunwoo looked at them. 

"It looks like he barely even lives his apartment expect for food." Kymin said from the livingroom as she was measuring blood droplets. She started to take blood samples as she looked at Soojin. "There doesn't seem to be any forced entry so he knew his killer." She nodded as she looked at the her. 

"Yeah, I figured that too." Soojin said as she looked at Kymin. She looked at her phone as she had a call from Minhyun. "Hold on." She said as she answered her phone "Hey." She said 

"Hey, I think I might have found our john doe! That body dump you just sent me out on possibily is our john doe. I will get the body back to the morgue and get Jookyu on the autospy to make sure." Minhyun said as he hung up not even letting Soojin get in anything. 

"Minhyun might have found our john doe form before." Soojin said as she looked at Kymin. She looked around the apartment as she started back into his bedroom. She opened the door just seeing as the lights were left on as she saw the wall with 'lets play a game' written in blood with a knocked over altar with witchcraft items that looked brandnew. "Kymin, come here." Soojin called out as she could hear the other walk in the room. "I think our serial killer struck again." Soojin said as she looked at her as she walked in the room with Soojin. 

"Yeah, it looks like it. You want to take this room and the bathroom and the room next to it then I'll do the living room, kitchen, and other small door on the other side?" Kymin asked as Soojin nodded to her. Kymin started back on the living room as she was finishing taking blood samples. She started to search for others things just finding a cell phone that was busted underneath the couch. She put it in an evidence bag as she hoped that made Seongwoo or JIhyo could find something on it. She walked to the bookshelf as there was a lot of books about spirituality and other wiccan type books, but there were also a lot of books on crime and law. Kymin book out on that they used in the academy as she opened up the front page just seeing this was bought from the academy probably due to the book was an older endition. She placed the book in a evidence bag as she looked at the other books on the shelves. She noticed some broken glass as she picked up the broken picture frame as she looked at the picture. She raised an eyebrow as this was a academy photo of gradurates. She took a picture of it as she turned it over just seeing their victim had recently attended a friend's academy graduation. Kymin pulled out her phone as she dialed a number. "Hi. sunbae. I am going to send you a photo and I need you to send the person's acadmey folder." Kymin said 

"Is this for a case?" Minho asked as he was in his office.

"Yes." Kymin said 

"Alright, I'll bring it over later." Minho hung up as he waited for her text. 

Kymin sighed as she texted him the picture as she put her phone up just placing the photo in a evidence bag as well as the frame as maybe Bora could get some DNA from it. She went on to the kitchen as there wasnt' much there. She looked through the bills on the counter as they were mostly trash and were just notices. She opened up the trash as she looked through it just seeing if there was anything that was important inside. She sighed as she didn't find anything. She looked through some piles of paper on the table as it was a bunch of codes and other things. She placed them into evidence bags as she walked to the other door that she was suppose to search. She walked to the door just turning the door knob and it opened. She pulled out her flashlight as she found the light just turning it on. It was a hall closet with extra jackets, a pair of rain boots, and what looks like a trap door into the next apartment. She walked out of the hall cloest just walking over to where Soojin was suppose to be looking in. "Soojin?" She asked as the other had a lot of evidence bags around her as Hyunwoo was bringing in more as Kymin had came over. 

"Yeah?" She asked

"I found something you need to see. Plus you should see it too." Kymin said as she walked past Hyunwoo as he set down the evidence bags. She guided them to the hall cloest as she showed them the trap door. "I think it goes into the next apartment next door." She said

"I will go talk to the landlord and the owner of the building." Hyunwoo walked off as he looked at them

Back in the lab, Seongwoo was finishing installing the software that would let Jookyu and Sooyoung revists autopsys and do other tech stuff in their job like doing offsite pre-autopsy if one of them needed help or doing conference calls with other morgues and funeral homes. Seongwoo walked to the morgue area as he waved at Jookyu and YIxing who were finishing up prep to start on the autopsy of Minhyun's body dump. He opened up the door as he looked at them. "I finished setting up the tablet so later tonight then I'll show you guys how to work it." He said 

"Okay thanks." Jookyu waved to him. "I would come hug you or something but I am kind of gross right now." Jookyu said 

"It is okay. I have to get back to the lab." Seongwoo said as he closed the door just going back to the lab. He walked to his area as he looked at his in box just seeing the cellphone that Kymin had found earlier as JIhyo was working on some stuff on her laptop. He put on a pair of gloves as he opend up the evidence bag and got started on the phone. The screen was busted but the memory and everything inside the phone was okay. He downloaded it to his work station just going to the trouch screen table tablet as he opened up the text messages files and the other items in the phone just getting started. He looked over to Jihyo as he tapped her shoulder. 

"Yeah?" She looked up from her screen as she moved her chair to looked at what he was working on. "Oh, all the messages are in code." Jihyo said as he nodded 

"Yeah, I will have to crack the code in order to figure what all of these say." Seongwoo said 

"I think Kymin found some code papers. Why don't you go ask her for them?" Jihyo said as she pointed to her screen. "I am working on teh laptop Soojin found the witch room. There are files for members of their group or whatever but I am having to match up their code names to their real names. I have a gotten a few down but others are harder. Maybe your code will link up some names to mine and we can use the phone numbers to back track." Jihyo said as she waved Seongwoo nod as he walked off. 

Seongwoo walked over to Kymin. "Hi." He said as she was busy examining items with Soojin. 

"Hey, what do you need?" Soojin asked as she set down the candles that she was looking at. 

"I am working on the phone that you guys put at my desk and everything is in codes. Jihyo said that Kymin-sshi had come code papers?" He asked 

"Oh yeah! I was going to bring them to you then I forgot." Kymin said as she looked from her microscope. She moved to a spot at the table as she picked up the files. "Here you go." She said as he took them. 

"Thanks." He said as he walked off. He walked back to his work desk just opening up the files that she had started trying to figure out the code that he needed to decipher. 

"Hey I will help you decipher." Jihyo said as she watched him separate the papers of the code sheets. "Thanks." She said as she took them just starting to work on her stack. "Once we get a few pages down then we can try to put them in order." Jihyo said as she got up just dragging over a large cork board that they could tack the papers to. 

"That is a good idea." Seongwoo said as he kept working on his sheets. He tacked up his first sheet as he started on his next. 

"Heys guys I found something that might help you." Soojin walked over as she watched them both look at her. "I foudn this book that has some codes in with deciphers. You can use these as reference books." Soojin said as she handed to book to Seongwoo. 

"Thanks." Jihyo said as Seongwoo was already opening the book and looking through it. 

"No problem." Soojin said as she walked off back to the work roomt that she was working with Kymin in. They had pulled a lot of finger print lifts and Kymin was working on them at another station as she started on picked up her trace lifts to Kihyun to anaylze.
