Darn it was cold,

The alleys were dark as baekhyun walked through them with wide steps so he could keep up with the taller guy walking beside him,

chanyeol was supposed to walk him to his appartment after the end of their date, if he could call it like that ...

It wasn't bad persay but ...

What is the right word to describe it,

Awkward maybe ??

Yeah, that seems like a suitable word, Because ... not only had Chanyeol knocked everything out of it's rightful place on the mall, But there was that awkward stuttering on every sentence and during the dinner, Chanyeol kicked the table with his tall lanky legs causing a full glass of orange juice to fall allover the smaller's clothes,,

He's not complaining though, he had had worse dates, and he actually kinda liked that weird awkwardness that radiated from the taller, he found it cute some how, and funny too, The problem now though was this awkward silence that was engulfing them since they started heading home,

He sighed silently as he walked on the street, eyes staring at the black streaks of his white sneakers that matched the crystalizing snow on the road, and his hands were tacked up inside his dark red coat's pocket to save them some warmth as he was freezing and had already gave up on the idea of holding hands with the taller,

But ...

He doesn't understand ...

Wasn't it chanyeol the one who asked him out in the first place ??

Shouldn't he act like a date then ??

It's not like he doesn't like the tall guy ... Baekhyun actually had some sort of a crush on him and was really surprised when Chanyeol asked him out.

He never thought that chanyeol could be this ... Awkward, though, not to mention silent,

Baekhyun really wanted to break the ice,

The only problem is ...

He didn't know how to ....

This is weird ... he had had several dates before as you can see, and he'd usually nail them.

But the weird thing is ... This date really feels like a first,

He wants to say something,

But he was so nervous that his heart was hammering against his chest and his tongue felt paralysed and he didn't know what to say, baekhyun never struggled with finding something to say. NEVER.

That dorky giant wasn't giving him the chance to think staight either and ..

Baekhyun looked up at the giant only to find him standing somewhere ahead looking up at something, Baekhyun was so lost in thoughts that he didn't realise he had fell back a few steps

"Hey .." he called as he jogged towards the other ".. wait for me" Chanyeol didn't seem like he was planning on moving any way.

"you should keep your eyes on me," he said the moment he reached the taller, with his hands fixing the navy blue beanie over his head "I could run away and you'll never kno--"

"We're here !!" Chanyeol interrupted him before he could finish and he looked up to where chanyeol was looking only to see the front of his appartment building ... guess he was so lost in thought that he didn't pay attention to the road too, good thing chanyeol was here with him or else he could've been lost by now, but wait ....

H- how did chanyeol knew he was living here ?? 

"I think this is your stop, huh?"

"y- yes I guess"

Shame though ... Baekhyun doesn't want it to be over yet, not without getting somewhere !!

Chanyeol stretched his arms to fix the messy bang of hair that sneaked from under the beanie with his large hand and Baekhyun stood frozen on his place for a sec,

This is chanyeol finally showing some affection ... well maybe he did get somewhere ..

Chanyeol looked at him and flashed a smile "so .. I guess it's good bye then"

With red nose and blushed cheeks that were hit by the cold air, Baekhyun looked at Chanyeol's twinkling eyes With a small smile on the lips.

Some how, Baekhyun didn't want things to end yet, and he stared at the blush that spread through the taller's cheeks giving him the looks of a young boy who played out in cold day for so long, Chanyeol was nervous too, the smaller could tell ... Or else, he wouldn't be looking everywhere except on him.

Baekhyun wanted to feel that blush on his fingers and see what it's like, he wanted their fare well to be something else other than this, something more date like ...

He spread is arms a little, trying to give the tall giant a small hug, only to halt them midway and stuff them back in his pocket ..

"Bye," he finally answered with a widening smile, maybe Chanyeol doesn't want to hug, it could all be Baekhyun's imagination, maybe he doesn't like him that way in the first place and only when he got into that date did the taller regret going out,

With slight bow of the head, Baekhyun bid the taller the last goodbye before turning around towards the building's main door.

But as soon as he stepped away, he felt a hand pulling him and turning him around again before feeling a soft pair crash against his, and baekhyun closed his eyes, kissing back.

The pair was soft against his lips, and this softness formed that tingly feeling that travelled across his body to cling at the pit of his stomach in the form of flying happy butterflies, warmth spread across his body replacing all the cold he felt throughout the day, when Chanyeol's hand tightened around him to pull him closer, Baekhyun couldn't feel his surroundings and the only thing that kept him intact to reality was the tingling on his lips and the churning of his stomach.

It was only a simple kiss, a gentle touch of the lips that baekhyun couldn't tell how long lasted, but it was sweet, something he never felt before, something like cotton candy and rainbows yet, like fires and explosions,

When Chanyeol pulled away slowly, baekhyun sighed silently at the loss, the sweet tingling was still there, and the warmth was surrounding him as if it wasn't snowing mere moments ago, his heart was thumping and he hopes he's not blushing the way he feels,

He's cirtain he's blushing madly though,

Chanyeol looked at him with his dark orbs that was bright and twinkling,

"I like you Baekhyun" he whispered in a steady voice, although he sounded nervous "I think you already figured it out, but I really really like you and I'm sorry if today didn't go the way it's planned, but I just want you to know I want to do it again, go out with you."

Baekhyun could only hear the thumping of his heart against his eardrums ... his lips were slightly parted yet they felt like they've been sealed with superglue or something ... and he only nodded abscent mindedly with a small hum.

Chanyeol backed a step awkwardly as he scratched the back of his neck at the lack of response and then chuckled

"O- okay then .. s- see you tomorrow" he stuttered before turning around and springing away from sight,

Only when the mere shadow of chanyeol was visible did baekhyun regain his composure,

"See you .." He whispered to no one, finally giving a response and then cracked a smile,

He was entranced, and his heart felt happy, like a teenager who found his first love,

Why did he have to act like that though. He should've said something, he should've answered the taller properly.
God why was he so stupid ??

But then again, how can a guy, as handsome as chanyeol be that dump and shy, and lanky ??
More importantly, how could he possibly have a crush on such guy ?

It's too late though ... Baekhyun thinks it's maybe more than a tiny crush now.
