Rain is actually a one-shot, therefore a story in itself. Since, I am trying to emerge as a writer and was thus testing my writing skills, I experimented by expanding the story of Rain into a mini-series. It would do you no harm if you decided to stop at Rain. Albiet, if you do choose to continue you'll get a deeper understanding of the characters and will get to witness their developments.
