Jonghyun opened the refrigerator one afternoon after having picked up Taemin from school, groaning softly because they had run out of a lot of things and the grocery shopping trip could no longer be put off.
Taemin on the other hand was sipping on his milk watching some new show he had seen at Minho’s last weekend, pingo or pingu, Jonghyun wasn’t sure, but it was one hell annoying of a cartoon if anything.
“We are going to the store!” Jonghyun called out and Taemin jumped down from the couch, running into the kitchen towards Jonghyun, “I wanna come!”
“Of course. Finish your milk, use the washroom and wear your crocs. Appa will get ready too.”
Taemin nodded and he dashed into his room and Jonghyun grabbed his wallet and phone, making sure the windows and such were shut while waiting for Taemin. Taemin came out five minutes later, and trashed his milk carton before starting to look for his crocs. He found the red ones at the door and after putting them on and washing his hands (like he was taught) he joined Jonghyun who was waiting at the door with the car keys.
“Ready?” Jonghyun smiled, extending his hand to take Taemin’s little one.
Taemin thought a little bit before running back inside, calling out, “Wait, Appa! We forgot Minmin!”
When they were finally in the car with both Taemin and Minmin safely buckled up, Jonghyun switched on the voice recognition in his phone to create a list in his notes while driving.
“Flour.” Jonghyun said, as he drove out the garage, “Rice, sugar, yogurt…milk…eggs…”
“Chocolate!” Taemin shouted and giggled after, and Jonghyun smiled, letting him off (also because he did not want the voice recognition to fill his list with jargon).
