Hi! This is a really bad sequel to "Baekhyun's Rival" that I wrote out of boredom. Read below in order to find out how Baekhyun ended up spreading his germs on Joonmyeon's beloved kitchen table again :))

To Junmyeon, it all felt like a déja-vu.

„He is mad at me, Hyung!“, Baekhyun sobbed into his folded arms, a mix of salty tears and slimy snot dripping down on the once so carefully disinfected table top. Joonmyeon cringed inwardly at the unappetizing sight. He had spent hours scrubbing this table the last time Baekhyun had decided to leave his germs on it (courtesy of his mysophobia) and seeing all his efforts gone to waste like that hurt almost as much as catching Sehun sticking his spit-wet spoon into a jar of Nutella - his jar of Nutella. Joonmyeon liked Nutella. He didn’t want to know for how long Sehun had been infecting his beloved dark chocolate cream with his bacteria. The thought of it alone made him want to cry and strangle their maknae.

Today, another name was added to the leader’s death list.

„Park Chanyeol.“, Joonmyeon murmured with gritted teeth, „What did you do again this time?“

„He is ignoring me!“, Baekhyun replied, as if Joonmyeon hadn’t been talking to himself just now, „It’s like everytime I start a conversation, he shrugs me off on purpose or replies very coldly. I tried asking if he was mad at me but he only frowns and looks away. Why is he like this?“

Joonmyeon patted the vocalist’s back in an attempt to soothe him. „That doesn’t sound like Chanyeol at all. I mean, I have seen him getting mad but never once was he acting like this. When exactly did he start to behave like that? Can you remember anything?“

Baekhyun paused his sobs for a while, trying to recall since when exactly Chanyeol had acted coldly towards him. „There … There was one time when I came back from a gathering with my co-actors from Moon Lovers.“, he hiccuped, „I went to his room to say hi and cuddle since I had missed him but he didn’t even seem happy to see me and just told me he was tired and that he wanted to sleep. That was really odd.“

Joonmyeon nodded. „That’s indeed strange. I am so sorry, Baekhyun.“

„Hyung, do you … do you think …“, the vocalist started, biting his bottom lip and playing with his fingers - a sign that he was feeling anxious, „Do you think Chanyeol might love someone else? What if … what if he is sick of being in a secret relationship? What if he has laid his eyes on some pretty girl who he can marry and have children with, things he can never do with me?“

Baekhyun’s eyes became teary at the thought of Chanyeol leaving him and Joonmyeon immediately noticed, pulling his younger friend into a hug, letting him cry silently on his shoulder („Just don’t leave your snot or saliva on me please!“). „Oh Baekhyun, you know that is not the case. We talked about this before, right? That idiot only has eyes for you, trust me. He is just angry about something. We just have to find out what bothers him.“

„Yah, who are you calling an idiot?“, the familiar baritone voice chimed in (Seriously, this was indeed a déja-vu!). Joonymeon looked up and saw Chanyeol walking towards the fridge, taking out a bottle of water. His indifference towards Baekhyun crying in his arms made him frown.

„Well, I am calling you that! Why are you ignoring your boyfriend?“

Chanyeol’s eyes widened for a split second before the giant looked away, shaking his head. „I am not ignoring him.“

„Oh, you are not?!“, a wild Baekhyun suddenly exclaimed, removing himself from their leader and stomping his way towards the rapper. „Is thay why you haven’t been talking properly to me for weeks? Is that why you are refusing my touches? Is this why you are replying my text messages so half-assedly? Now tell me again you are not ignoring me! Come on, tell me!“

„What are you yelling at me for? You know that we both have a lot to do these days, how much stuff we are dealing with and how tired we get! You cannot expect me to go all out under such circumstances. I am only human, too, in case you forgot, your majesty!“

„You majesty? See, you are doing it again! What the is wrong with you?“, Baekhyun yelled, tip-toeing in order to look more intimidating, „We have had stressful times like this before and never ever have you acted this way towards me so don’t even try to give me such dumb excuses! Why don’t you just tell me what’s wrong so I can explain? What did I do?“

As the voices were getting louder and the tension was getting bigger, Junmyeon started to feel more and more out of place. Hence, he decided to give these two some privacy. The leader grabbed a few IKEA magazines that were randomly lying on the kitchen counter before sneaking out of the room. Might as well look for a new kitchen table. Yeah, a CLEAN new kitchen table - that’s what he needed.

„Me, me, me! It’s always my fault, right? I am tired of being the in this relationship! It’s always my actions that bother you but have you ever considered that you might just be too ing sensitive, that it’s you dramatising every little thing that causes us to argue everytime? You are making a problem out of nothing!“

Baekhyun sniffed, clenching his little fists before angrily shoving his boyfriend. „It isn’t ‚nothing‘ to me when it concerns you, you idiot! How can it not bother me when you act like you don’t want to be with me anymore? For your information, I am still in love with you even if you don’t feel the same way.“, the smaller boy almost whispered the last part, using his sweater paws to wipe away the angry tears streaming down his face.

Chanyeol, with his big ears, still heard him though and was shocked to hear such words escaping his lover’s mouth. It made him furious. „Byun Baekhyun! What nonsense are you talking about? I never said anything like that!“

„Right, you didn’t say it but you act according to my assumption.“, Baekhyun scoffed, still wiping his tears. „Why don’t you just admit it, huh?“

That was it. This made Chanyeol explode.

He slammed his bottle down the kitchen counter, successfully causing his maller boyfriend to flinch and look up at him in fear. „I don’t love you?! Am I the one flirting around and making goo-goo eyes at my co-actors?! You know what? Why don’t you stand in front of a mirror and ask yourself if you still love me?“

Baekhyun froze when it started to dawn on him that Chanyeol could be jealous … but that was impossible. He normally wasn’t that type. „C-Chanyeol?“

But the giant didn’t listen. Instead, he stepped forward and grabbed the vocalist’s forearms. It was then that Baekhyun was able to see the worry in those big and beautiful eyes. „You think I am blind or something, that I don‘t see the way those guys stare at and make advances towards you? It’s bad enough that I am forced to leave you out of my sight without being able to protect you but to see you making no efforts at all to stop those people from going near you makes me go nuts, Baekhyun! To see you smile at them as if there wasn’t someone waiting for you at home drives me insane! There, I said it! Are you happy now?“

Baekhyun, still captivated by his boyfriend’s beautiful eyes, wasn’t able to form any coherent sentences for a while and simply voiced out the first thought that came to his mind in that moment. „They … They don’t even s-swing that way.“

Chanyeol arched his brow at that. „I didn’t swing that way either before I knew you, Byun Baekhyun. Apparantly, you have an incredible effect on people that you have no idea of.“

„I, uh …“, Baekhyun tried to frantically think of new arguments to defend himself, „O-Oh yeah? You Yuan Shan Shan’s face off and I didn’t say anything, so why are you doing this?“, the vocalist pouted.

„Firstly, I didn’t ‚ her face off‘, it was a simple kiss. Secondly, that was on-cam and therefore only for the sake of following the script and thirdly, you did say something. More than that, actually. You threw a tantrum and were mad at me for days after I told you there was a scene like that.“, Chanyeol sighed, „Nevermind. You keep looking for excuses, not even denying that those men were flirting with you on set and you did not even mind, so why are we even talking about this right now?“ The giant, visibly upset, let go of his small boyfriend’s forearms and proceeded to leave the kitchen when he felt his wrist being encased by Baekhyun’s elegant fingers.

„Yeol, wait! I am sorry.“, Baekhyun apologized sincerely with a guilty look on his puppy-like face, „Don’t go.“

With that, the vocalist let go of the rapper’s wrist and instead wrapped his arms around his waist (because he couldn’t reach any higher than that), looking up at him cutely. „Don’t be mad. It really isn’t what it looks like. I mean, yes, everyone is very kind to me on set but never once have I sensed any flirty vibes coming from their actions. And if I am wrong and there really was someone looking at me like that - I highly doubt it though - I didn’t notice. I swear I didn’t, Yeol. You know I am used to being treated kindly since childhood so these things are really natural to me and nothing I pay much attention to. This is no excuse, I know that, but it is an explanation and I really want you to know that I would never intentionally hurt you. I love you so much, Chanyeol.“, Baekhyun mumbled the last part into the taller man’s chest, too embarrassed to face the latter since it wasn’t every day that he would bluntly confess his feelings like that. He felt his giant wrapping his arms around him after a while, his warm breath ghosting ove the top of his head as he sighed.

„What was I thinking? Of course people wouldn’t take their eyes off when it’s you. You just have that effect on people and that is something I love and hate at the same time. Love, because I know you can get along with everyone and never get lonely and hate because I constantly have to worry about you whenever you are out of my sight.“ Chanyeol pulled away slightly to cup Baekhyun’s face and look at him with sincere eyes. „I am sorry for being an . I should have talked to you about this instead of ignoring you.“

Baekhyun smiled. „It’s okay. It’s my fault as well. I will try to be more cautious next time and if anyone decides to come near me, don’t worry about me. Have you forgotten that you are talking to a kid with a black belt in Hapkido? At my rank, I am even qualified to be your teacher!“, Baekhyun said proudly, earning a chuckle and a kiss on the nose from Chanyeol.

„How could I forget? I am sorry, Sonsaeng-nim.“, the giant said before leaning back on the counter with Baekhyun in his arms, enjoying his giggles as he started kissing every part of his face. „You like that, huh?“, he asked playfully.

„A lot.“, the smaller man replied cheekily before leaning in for a proper kiss, rocking their bodies left and right and laughing when Chanyeol’s lips accidently brushed a ticklish spot on his neck.

That was the calm after the storm for them.

For Joonmyeon, the storm was only starting. „OH SEHUN, HANDS OFF MY NUTELLA JAR!“
