Kyungsoo had meticulously planned his route to work the day he got the job. He wanted to make sure to go through Union Station, because it brought him happiness. You see, Kyungsoo was desperate to be happy. It wasn't that he was 'unhappy' so to speak, but he longed to be truly happy. He wasn't sure why the station brought high happiness, but he made sure to get down there as often as possible. Now, you may be wondering why he longed for such happiness. 

Soo hadn't been able to see color unless he was happy. He saw the whole world in black and white, and he hated it. He wouldn't have minded as much if he had never been able to see color. It was the flashes of color that came with random happiness that drove him crazy. He knew of two things that brought him a burst of happiness, so he treasured them. Firstly, it was the station, which was always bright and full of people. He could kind of understand how that could bring him happiness, seeing as it was generally full of people going on trips with their families or loved ones coming home, but he was puzzled about the second. Every night at exactly 12:10 he would become overwhelmingly happy. He had tried to understand why, but after years of thinking about it, he still had no idea. However, he loved it and made sure to wake up at 12:05 every morning to make sure he wouldn't miss it. And, even though he was embarrassed to admit this, his room was decorated with as many colorful things as possible. Some of the objects were childish, but he cherished all of them.
