Chaerin brought Dara to a Private place they own. She’s preparing the whole morning for this one but it’s not going the way she plans it. It’s not on her plan to blackmail Dara to come with her and she knows if Bom finds out what she did, she’ll be dead. Dara is silently sitting on a chair while waiting for Chaerin to say something

 

“Are you going to say your proposal or you’re going to stare at me the entire time?”Dara asked her, Chaerin clears , she knows that she needs to stop acting like a love sick teenager in front of Dara

 

If you won’t change your demeanour Chaerin, she’ll say NO

 

She remembers what Bom said a while ago. She then place both of her elbow on the table while looking at her

 

“We both know that your mother and my mom are good friends right? That they were friends since college days..” Chaerin said as she starts to speak

 

“Yeah..”Dara answered

 

“And you know that it’s a no secret to her what happened to your family. My mom knows everything even though we’re in UK. She’s the one who told me that you are working in Japan to support your family. May I ask why in Japan instead of working here?”

 

“Even if I like to work here, Minji got a scholarship in one of the University in Japan. It’s not a full scholarship but it helps to lessen the fees I need to pay. I decided to work there because a friend of mine offers me a job and there you go..”

 

“A boy or a girl?”

 

“What?!”

 

“Just answer my question Miss Park..”

 

“A girl Miss Lee..”

 

“Good. Now I know too that Auntie Sallie is living here all alone and I can tell that you and your sister wants her to be with you but you’re worrying about the money..” Dara nods and drink some water in her glass

 

“But I have a solution to that Miss Park. I can guarantee you that Auntie Sallie will no longer live alone here in Korea as a matter of fact, you can bring her to Japan. I can give you one of our condo unit there then a lifetime supply of her medicines. You don’t need to worry about anything anymore, just yourself..” Dara look intently at Chaerin

 

“Plus the money you borrow from us and I think Auntie Sallie doesn’t know about that will be written on the water if you’ll say yes to my proposal..” Dara starts to feel uncomfortable by the way Chaerin said the word PROPOSAL

 

“What is it?”Dara asked her

 

“I just want you to marry me Dara. Marry me and be my wife..”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lee’s Mansion

 

 Bom keeps on texting her friend, she wants to know what’s happening between Dara and Chaerin now

 

I hope she won’t screw up. I don’t know her reason why she wants Dara to marry her but like what I said, I do have crazy friends

 

“Hey Unnie, what are you doing?”Mika called her when she saw her standing in the middle of the hallway

 

“What do I look like I’m doing?”Bom asked her

 

“Ah texting?”

 

“Are you asking me or telling me??”Mika shook her head and smiles

 

“Where’s Chaerin-Unnie? She haven’t returned yet? I thought Dara will arrive at 4..”

 

“Yeah and their flight got delayed but I think---“Bom then realize what Mika has told her, she pulls her friend and hide behind the curtain

 

“You know that Chaerin is fetching Dara from the airport????”Bom asked her

 

“Uhm yeah, I heard the two of you talking..”Mika answered, Bom slaps her shoulder

 

“Yeah! What’s that for huh?”

 

“Eavesdropping is BAD, Mika. It’s not proper to listen to others conversation!”

 

“Hey! I did not do that! I was on my way to the kitchen when I heard your voice, It’s a bit loud ya know!”Bom slaps her shoulder again

 

“Don’t you dare tell anyone about that or Chaerin will kick you back to UK..”

 

“I won’t promise but why does she wants to marry her? I bet Dara won’t say yes..”

 

 

 

 

 

MEANWHILE

 

“Are you ing kidding me??”Dara said and laugh hysterically, Chaerin furrow her eyebrows and if Bom can only see Dara now, she bet that her friend will laugh at her

 

“Do I look like I’m kidding??”Chaerin answered

 

“I won’t marry you Chaerin! Not even in your dreams!!”Dara answered

 

“And who the hell told you that I want to marry you? I’m doing this to help you and your family”

 

“Thanks but no thanks! I don’t need your help! I will pay the money you lend to me until the last cent!”

 

“Fine! Just be sure that you have the money by tomorrow..”Chaerin said, Dara stops from laughing and looks at her

 

“You know that I don’t have that kind of money now. Give me one month to pay..”

 

“Dara, you promised me that you’ll pay me last year. Last year, remember? I still have the e-mail you sent to me..”

 

“Are you blackmailing me?”Dara asked her, Chaerin smirk and lean on the chair

 

“Think of whatever you want Dara. Like what I told you, I’m doing this for your mother and your sister not for you. If there’s another way that I can help that doesn’t involve money, I’ll offer it to you..”

 

“Just give me a month to pay..”Chaerin shook her head, Dara is feeling helpless right now, she don’t want to get married with her but she has no choice

 

“Think about it. I’ll give until tomorrow to think but if your answer is no, give me my money back..” Chaerin said and stood up, she starts to walk when she heard Dara speaks

 

“You never change Chaerin. You are still the same arrogant b*tch..”Dara answered

 

“Clock is ticking, Dara. Better accept it now or have my money ready by tomorrow”

 

 

 

 

 

After Chaerin Drop Dara off their house, she went straight home. When she arrives, she immediately step on the breaks, turn off the ignition and run towards Bom’s room. Lucky for her, her mom is inside her room that time so she didn’t see her daughter speed off

 

“Unnie! Unnie! I screw up!”Chaerin said as she closes the door and saw Mika sitting on Bom’s bed

 

“Don’t worry Unnie, I know everything..”Mika said and smiles

 

“You told her???”Chaerin asked Bom

 

“No, she heard us talking. Anyway what happened? Why are you not answering my text?” Bom asked

 

“I was with Dara remember?”

 

“I know but can you at least inform us what’s going on?”

 

“Well I screw up!”Bom and Mika looks at each other

 

“Why? What happened Unnie?”Mika asked

 

“I told you I won’t blackmail her right?” Chaerin asked Bom

 

“Oh no, please don’t tell me.. Oh no you don’t!”Bom answered

 

“I don’t know what happened! I mean at first I was confident but the moment I saw her, damn!!” Chaerin covers her face with a pillow and screams

 

“Is Chaerin-Unnie—“Bom cut her off

 

“Whatever you’re thinking, don’t say it..”Mika nods her head and winks, Bom then remove the pillow on Chaerin’s face

 

“What did she say?” Bom asked her

 

“I gave her two days to think and I even told her to pay me if she will say no..”Chaerin answers as a gush of worry appears on her face

 

“Uh oh, wrong move Unnie..”Mika said

 

“Shut up Mika..”Chaerin answered

 

“I told you to show her that you are not the same old Chaerin anymore!”

 

“ I know!”

 

“Don’t even expect that she’ll say yes to you Unnie. She’s probably thinking where she’ll get some money so she can pay you..”Mika said

 

“And do you think that she’ll find someone who will lend her some money?”Chaerin asked her, Mika then looks at Bom’s phone and look at Dara’s picture again

 

“I haven’t seen her today but she’s already pretty in this picture. I bet she’s just 12 years old here..”Mika answered

 

“Give me that!”Chaerin said and grab the phone, she looks at the picture and starts to sobs

 

“Are you going to admit that you are really in love with her..”Bom said to her

 

“I’m not in love, I just ah like.. like to help her that’s all and you know that I’m trying to rebuild my reputation!”

 

“Well you can be friends at her again and help her but not ask her to marry you. You’re insane!”Bom said

 

 ‘ I blew up the only chance to have her’Chaerin whisper

 

“What did you say Unnie?”Mika asked her

 

“Nothing, I’ll go talk to mom and maybe ask her to offer Dara some work at her office here in South Korea..” Chaerin said and stood up

 

“Or better yet, if there’s a vacant position in UK then you can bring them there..”Bom suggested

 

“That’s a big NO. Auntie Sallie won’t agree on that even if we want too. I’ll see you guys later..”

 

 

 

 

 

Park’s Residence

 

 Dara hugs her mother tight once she sees her, Mrs. Park tears rolls down, she misses her two daughters. It’s been a while since the last time she saw them

 

“I’m sorry if I can’t help you Dara..”she said, Dara stays strong and try not to cry, she smiles at her when she broke the hug

 

“You don’t have to say sorry mom. You know that it’s not your fault..”Dara answered

 

“Yeah mom, I’ll be graduating next year then I can help Unnie and you..”Minji said, Mrs. Park hold the hands of her daughters and squeeze it

 

“Just let me work Dara. A friend of mine offers me to work at home, just typing stuff into computer..” their mother said

 

“Mom you need to rest. You have nothing to worry about okay..”Dara said to her

 

“But I want to save some money so the three of us can be together again..”

 

“We will mom, trust me. I got everything under control. Why don’t you sleep for a while, i know you are tired. We still have plenty of time to chitchat..”Mrs. Park nods her head as she knows that they are tired too, Minji push the wheel chair while Dara follows them from behind. The two sisters help their mother and tuck her to bed

 

“You two don’t have to do this, I’m used doing this on my own..”Mrs. Park said

 

“Mom while we are here, we’ll be the one taking care of you..”Minji said, she then hugs her mother as tears flows on her eyes

 

“Sleep tight mom, We’ll see you tomorrow. Love you..”Dara said

 

Dara closes the door of their mother’s room and motion for Minji to follow her, she told her to sit beside her

 

“I know how much you wanted mom to be with us in Japan..”Dara said to her

 

“Yes Unnie but I know that’s impossible for now..”Minji answered

 

“But what if I told you that i can make it possible..”Minji looks at her older sister

 

“How?” Dara stare at her sister for a while and said

 

“Chaerin.. Chaerin wants to help us, she offered me something and she assured me that Mom can be with us in Japan..

 

“Offered you what, Unnie?”

 

“She wants to.. Uhm she wants me to marry her..” Dara saw her sisters eyes widen so as

 

“You heard me right”Dara added

 

“What in the world is Chaerin-Unnie thinking asking you to marry her?”

 

“I don’t know, she said she just wanted to help us especially mom..”Minji went silent for a while and thinks, she likes Chaerin but she doesn’t get the idea of her marrying her sister

 

“So you’ll say yes?”

 

“I don’t know Min. I’m still thinking about it tonight, go to sleep. We have a lot of things to do tomorrow..”

 

“Okay Unnie but please remember whatever your decision is, I’ll understands and support you..”Dara nods her head as she watch her sister went inside the bathroom. She then lay down on the bed for a while thinking about Chaerin’s proposal

 

I hate her! I hate her so much!

 

Dara knows she’s the only one who can help her but she remembers about Kiyong

 

‘I can’t use him to resolve my problems but i do like him and i hate Chaerin very much!’she closes her eyes, she sees her mother being alone here and the way Minji cries a while ago
