As the day starts, Lee Chaerin, 26 years of age, starts her day by doing exercise. She puts on her jogging pants and a pair of headphones before she starts to run around their garden. Chaerin grew up with a mother who loves her so much. On the other hand, Chae will do everything for her. She went down the stairs and saw her dear mother.

 

“Morning sweetie!”her mother said, Chaerin smiles and walk towards her mom

 

“Morning mom. Why are you up so early?”she asked and sits on the couch in front of her

 

“I’m waiting for your Aunt Sallie’s call..”

 

“Oh, how is she by the way?”

 

“Terrible..”Chaerin can sense the concern on her mother’s voice. She went silent for a while. Sallie is her mom’s bestfriend since college. They both grew up in South Korea and treat each other like sisters. Every time her mom would make a visit to her Aunt Sallie’s house, she always with her mom and Sallie treat her like her own daughter but they went and live in UK because of their Business expansion in there

 

“I want to help her but she always refused..”she heard her mother’s voice

 

“Try to convince her mom or do you want me to talk to her?”..”Chaerin asked, her mom shook her head and smiles

 

“I’ll take care of it sweetie. Go ahead and do your thing. I’ll tell you if she already said yes..”Chaerin nods her head and kiss her mother’s forehead before she went out of the house.

 

 

 

 

 

Kyoto, Japan

 

 A girl with a long brown hair runs when she saw her older sister waving at her

 

“Unnie!”the girl exclaimed. Her older sister smiles and hugs her tight. The two didn’t saw each other for two months because of her work

 

“How are you?”she asked her little sister

 

“I’m fine Unnie. What took you so long?”she asked

 

“You know how busy i am with my work. I had a lot of things to do, sorry..”her little sister smile faintly at her

 

“I told you that I can stop schooling for the meantime while I help you work..”

 

“No, don’t worry about me okay. I want you to finish your school, you know how important that is to me..”

 

“I know Unnie but I don’t want you to kill yourself by over working..”she smiles at her and sigh, she then look straight at her sister’s eyes

 

“Minji listen to me. You know Unnie is working hard for us to live.You don’t have to worry about me. All you need to do is to concentrate and focus on your study. I can take care of myself. Okay baby?”Minji nods her head, hugs her sister and sigh

 

“I told you to find someone who can take care of you. You’re not getting any younger Unnie!”

 

“Hey! That’s harsh!”

 

“Haha! But I’m telling the truth. Why don’t you say yes to Carlo-Oppa?”

 

“Stop it will you. You know that I only see him as a friend..”

 

“Whatever! I have to go now Unnie. My class will start in 20..”

 

“Okay. Be good and study hard. I’ll see you next week..”the two sisters hug each other again, as Minji waves at her older sister hoping she’ll be alright and one day all their problems will end.

 

 

 

 

As soon as Chaerin finished preparing herself to work, she head towards the stairs and climb down, she’s halfway thru when she heard her mother’s voice

 

“I told you it’s just money Sallie..”she continue her way down the stairs then saw her mother standing near the window while talking to the phone

 

“I don’t care. You don’t owe me anything. I treat you as my sister so what mine is yours..”Mrs. Lee said again, this time Chaerin waves her hand at her mother signalling her that she’ll go ahead but her mom stops her

 

“Okay, okay. Call me again. I’ll be waiting for it. Bye..”she ended the call and took a deep sigh, she then look at her daughter and smile a little

 

“That didn’t go well huh?”Chaerin asked her and her mother answered her when she shook her head

 

“She’s so stubborn you know..”Mrs. Lee said

 

“I told her that i’ll send her some money for her medicine but again she refused. She said that we can help her with anything except money..”she added, Chaerin smiles and look down

 

“You know how she hates borrowing money from you especially after what her husband did..”

 

“Oh stop mentioning that idiot! He broke her heart into a million pieces!”Chaerin almost laughs, her mom always react that way when they are talking about her Aunt Sallie’s husband

 

“Chillax mom. I will call Aunt Sallie later after my meeting. Let me talk to her, who knows I can convince her..”

 

“You, I doubt but okay try. Drive carefully sweetie, i’ll see you tonight..”Mrs. Lee said and kiss her daughters cheek

 

 

 

 

 

 

2:30 in the afternoon (UK)

 

Chaerin’s secretary went inside her office and give her some papers she need to sign for tomorrow’s report. Her secretary also told her that Bom, one of her closest friend called and they are expecting her to meet them at exactly 4 at Seunghyun’s restaurant

 

“Did you tell her that I’m busy?”Chaerin asked her

 

“Yes Miss but you know that Miss Bom don’t take no for an answer..”Chaerin smiles and shook her head and her secretary did the same

 

“Well thank you Yvette, if you don’t have anything to do, you can go now. I’ll be leaving the office in 10 minutes..”

 

“Thank you Miss Lee, i’ll see you tomorrow then..”Chaerin watches Yvette walk away, as soon as she’s out of sight, she lean her back on her chair as she thinks of her Aunt Sallie, she then pulls the drawer on her table and take out a picture of them. She smiles as she looks at a certain someone who always makes her heart skip a beat

 

‘It’s been a long time since I saw you..’she whispers, her smile slowly fades away as she remembered what happened to both of them, she place the picture back to the drawer and closes it

 

Stop blaming yourself Chaerin!

 

She closes her eyes for a minute and remembers that she need to call her Aunt Sallie. She fish out her phone inside her pocket and dials her number. She glances at her watch and saw that it’s already 9:45 in the evening in South Korea (8 hours ahead of UK)

 

‘I hope she’s still awake..’ she whisper as she waits for her call to connect, a few seconds pass by and she heard a voice

 

“Chaerin?”her Aunt Sallie said, Chaerin smiles and lean her back again on the chair again

 

“Hey Aunt Sallie!”Chaerin answered

 

“Oh I know that you’re mother asked you to talk to me huh?”Chaerin laughs, Sallie really knows her mother even though she’s far away

 

“Come one Auntie. Why don’t you let us help you? We’re family remember?”

 

“I know Chae but you and your mom already lend me a lot of money and I don’t know how will I pay it..”

 

“Shucks Auntie! We’re not asking you to pay for it. You’re like a little sister to my mom and you as my second mother. Don’t you worry about paying us..”

 

“Yeah but still my answer is no. Help me in other way you can..”

 

“Like what?”

 

“Like ahm, hiring me to be one of your maid. I heard that Lyn left and you needed another care taker of your house here in Korea..”

 

“You? A maid? Nah uh! You know I can’t do that. I’ll think of something else if you don’t want us to send you some money, okay?”

 

“Okay Chae and thank you..”

 

“Always Aunt Sallie..”

 

“So how are you?”

 

“Same old, same old..”

 

“Boyfriends? Husband?”

 

“Aunt Sallie!”she heard her laugh on the other, she and her mother knows that Chaerin likes girls but she’s a little picky. She’s single since birth

 

“There’s a lot of pretty girls there in UK Chaerin, are you losing your charm?”Chaerin opens but before she can answer she heard her laugh again

 

“I’m just teasing you sweetie. One day you’ll find her..”

 

I already did

 

“Yeah Auntie one day..”Chaerin answers, she opens the drawer again and look at the picture then an idea come up in her mind

 

“Hey Aunt Sallie, I have a proposal to make but I’m not forcing you to say yes okay. You can think about it first..”

 

“Okay, what is it?”Sallie asked

 

 

 

 

 

The Grill (Seunghyun’s Resto)

 

“Where the hell is Chaerin?!”Bom almost yell after she looked at her watch, it’s already 4:55 and they can’t seem to contact her

 

“Maybe she has a meeting she needs to attend to..”Seunghyun answers as their friends stops themselves from laughing

 

“No! Yvette said that she’s free in the afternoon though she said that she’s busy!”Bom said

 

“Or maybe she’s finishing some paper works Bom. Calm down. She’ll be here..”Jiyong said, Bom rolled her eyes at him and sits on the couch

 

“If she’s not here in 5 minutes, I’m gonna tear her apart!” her friends laugh at her when one of them saw Chaerin entering the restaurant

 

“There she is!”Kazuko said, they all look at Chaerin with a big smile on their face

 

“Hey guys!”Chaerin said, she sits beside Mika but then saw Bom giving her a deadly stare

 

“What?!”Chaerin asked her

 

“What’s the time now?”Bom asked her, Chaerin glances at her watch, their friends laughs knowing that Chaerin likes to tease Bom

 

“5..”Chaerin answered

 

“I told you to meet us here at 4 Chaerin! Not 5! Where were you?!”Bom asked her

 

“Why are you reacting that way? Who are you my mother?!”Chaerin fired back, Bom grabs a pillow and throws it at her

 

“Okay, okay, sheez.. I’m busy with work and I didn’t notice the time and I called Aunt Sallie before i went here..”Chaerin explains

 

“You’re mother’s bestfriend? Is there a problem dude?”Mika asked her

 

“Oh no, no. I just want to say hello and asked her how she is..”she answered

 

“She’s okay?”Seunghyun asked and Chaerin nods her head

 

“Good now can we eat because I’m starving!”Bom said

 

“You’re always hungry Unnie!”Kazuko said and they laugh

 

“I didn’t eat lunch that’s why I’m hungry. Don’t say anything else or you’ll face my wrath..”Kazuko looks at Chaerin who winks at her while Mika laughs silently, Seunghyun motion for his waiters to serve some food for his friends, one waiter came to their table and pour some wine on their glasses. They all took their glass and raise it into the air and cheers

 

“I wish we can always do this. No need to worry about work and problems..”Seungri said

 

“I’ll drink to that but if we need to live and save up money for our future, we need to work as bad as we need to..”Jiyong said

 

“Yeah but I can use some vacation!”Mika said

 

“Then let’s have some vacation. Why don’t we go to South Korea..”Chaerin said, they all look at her then to each other

 

“Great idea Chae. You have your own house back there right?”Seunghyun asked her, she nods and took a sip on her wine

 

“You don’t need to worry about anything else, just yourself and your things. Oh Seunghyun-Oppa, you need to worry about Bom-Unnie, sorry I forgot that she’s mentally ill..”Chaerin said, Bom furrows her eyebrows at her and said

 

“Tomboy!”they all laugh when Chaerin throws her the pillow back”. Their food arrives and they all eat while talking to each other about their day but Bom notices something at Chaerin, she seems glowing and keeps on smiling out of nowhere

 

“Hey Chaerin, I want some dessert. Can you accompany me at the dessert table?”Bom asked her, Chaerin looks at her and knows the look at her friends face

 

“Sure Unnie. Excuse us guys..” When Chaerin stood up, Bom almost drag her towards the table and when they are far away from their friends, Bom stops and looks at her

 

“Spill it out..”Bom said to her

 

“Huh?”Chaerin asked, acting dumb like she don’t know what she’s talking about

 

“Chaerin don’t let me count until three. I know you a lot and when I said I know you that means, I know the reason why you want to comeback in Korea and now you’re asking us to have a vacation there..” Chaerin still didn’t say anything, Bom crosses her arms on her chest

 

“Okay fine! There’s a reason why I asked you guys to go on a vacation with me in Korea..”Chaerin said, Bom didn’t say anything so Chaerin continues to talk

 

“I’m getting married next month..”Chaerin added, Bom’s mouth flew open but no words came out

 

“I’m serious Unnie. I’m getting married next month..”

 

“T-to whom?”Bom asked then Chaerin sigh and looks at her

 

“Oh no, please tell me you don’t..”Bom said but Chaerin nods her head, Bom then pulls her towards the comfort room, they both went in but saw three girls doing their make-up in front of the mirror

 

“Uhm excuse me ladies but I need you to leave the comfort room now..”Bom said but one of the girls look at her from head to toe

 

“We’re not yet finish so you need to wait..”she said

 

“Oh don’t you dare give me that kind of tone young lady or you’ll regret that you met me..”Bom said, Chaerin then talk to the three girls, she knows her friend a lot especially now that she’s piss. When the three girls left, Bom lock the doors

 

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING CHAERIN?!!!”Bom yelled, Chaerin step back a little and bit her lower lip

 

“Unnie i..”Chaerin said

 

“If this is a joke, it’s not funny!!”

 

“But I’m not joking Unnie..”

 

“Tell me how did that happened huh?”

 

“Well uhm okay, I’ll tell you everything but please don’t tell anyone..”
