Gusts of cold wind nipped at my face, the dark clouds loomed over me, matching my mood. A sigh could be heard from my lips as my heart thumped wildly against my chest. I leaned toward the edge and watched the world fall from my eyes. This is it.

I felt a hand enclose around my wrist and pull me hastily up. “Don’t. Don’t do it. You’ll regret it.” A voice advised me. I slowly turned around to meet the face of a young male panting heavily. I stared at him. I wasn’t sure if I felt relieved for him saving my life or infuriated for letting me live.  I sunk on to my knees “I’m sorry.” I whispered. A moment of silence passed as we both stared at each other. “It’s okay, it’s going to be okay.” The voice comforted me. I felt the tears that I attempted to hold back, run down my cheek. I bowed my head as I choked out a sob. “Thank you” I mumbled before he pulled me up. “Let’s get out of here.” He said as he dragged me off the rooftop.

The cozy café warmed my body as I placed my hand warmly around the hot, soothing cup. “Why.” He mumbled out, starting a conversation. “Why, what.” I replied. “Why did you try to do it?” He asked. I hesitantly replied. “…because I’m worthless. I don’t deserve to be here.”, ”Don’t say such words. You’re not worthless, never will be. We are all here for a reason.” The male softly spoke. I couldn’t help ponder about those words before responding “but you didn’t run away from your parents after dropping out of high school. You don’t
