His mother had left, saying she needed some fresh air. Well, she had a lot of things to digest after all. Luhan had told her about Haneul and his stay in Korea – both in his high school days and his recent visit. He told her everything and it was obvious his mother was having a hard time believing things
Luhan was too.
He stared at the paper bag containing goodies from Dazzling Daybreak. He scrunched up his face in thought. “How did she get in if family were the only ones allowed?” he wondered.
“I let her in,” a familiar voice then said, surprising Luhan.
He looked up and saw his grandfather, Moonlight’s current CEO, Lu Zhiqiang. Luhan rose from his seat and bowed at the elder.
His grandfather motioned for him to sit down. Luhan complied, confusion clear in his eyes.
“You let Chorong in my room, grandfather?” he asked hesitantly. He was honestly baffled as to why the elder would do such a thing since Lu Zhiqiang was far from kind. Well, that’s how Luhan knew him after all.
The elder nodded his head, a sigh escaping from his lips.
“Why?” Luhan prodded. “It’s the right thing to do for the mother of my great grandson,” he answered.
Luhan was shocked to hear those words from his grandfather. “Y-you know? About Haneul?” he asked. The other nodded.
“H-how?” Luhaan couldn’t help but question. Only he and his mother knew about Haneul in his family. He stared expectantly at the elder.
Lu Zhiqiang sighed again and looked out the window. “Minseok came to me,” he started. Luhan’s eyebrows furrowed, puzzled why his grandfather mentioned his best friend. But he kept silent and listened to his explanation.
