Luhan was perched on the gazebo’s steps. He was looking up at the night sky, his lips pursed in deep thought. His eyes wandered towards the lake, its surface beautifully illuminated by the moonlight. The wind was softly caressing his face, calming his troubled thoughts. A sigh escaped his lips.
“What are you doing here, Luhan-ssi?” he heard Chorong’s soft voice.
He turned around and was greeted by the belle’s stunning beauty. Luhan’s breathe got caught in his throat.
“I-I” he stammered. “I was just thinking,” he then continued, gathering himself.
He moved to the side and offered Chorong a seat beside. The belle willingly complied.
“What are you thinking about?” she then asked. “You’ve been out of it the whole afternoon while you were in the bakery.” Luhan glanced at her, hesitating.
She tilted her head to the side and smiled kindly at him. “Tell me,” she told him. “I won’t get offended,” she added.
Luhan furrowed his brows, deliberating carefully. “I’m curious,” he drawled out. Chorong nodded for him to continue. He swallowed anxiously. “About...” he paused. The belle raised a curious eyebrow. His heart was hammering frantically inside his chest.
