Arrival

Inhale.
Exhale.
Luhan tried to calm his anxious heart. Eyes closed and a hand on his chest; he tried to steady his breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Flying had always made him anxious, preferring to travel by sea or land – Luhan’s terribly afraid of heights you see. His insides would always churn uncomfortably when he’s at a distance from the ground. He’d usually get nauseous at the thought. He always felt like he’d fall face flat on the earth, his body butchered into smithereens. A shiver ran down his spine.
‘Something’s different though,’ he thoughtfully wondered.
He opened his eyes and stared out the window. A wide runway greeted his restless eyes. They’ve finally landed. He swallowed the lump on his throat. “I’m finally here,” he softly mumbled, his fingers unconsciously caressing the ring he had made into a necklace.
He could hear his heart beat loudly, his uneasiness growing.
'Something's definitely different...'
