why Meanie ; Pledis didn’t tell us their names on 17TV Season 1, but at that time, we knew Mingyu’s name already. Instead of telling us their names, Pledis used nicknames such as Mr. Blue Earmuffs (Jun), Mr. Dumbbell (Hoshi), Mr. Headphones (Vernon), etc. and Wonwoo’s nickname was Mr. Beanie. (He wore a beanie all the time too!) Also, they released the members’ profile by fans’ votes and Mingyu was the first and the MVP. Since fans didn’t know Wonwoo’s name, they called it ‘Meanie’, M is from Mingyu and the eanie comes from ‘Beanie’. So, together, it’s called Meanie couple.
