Park Shin Hye disguise herself as a trainee in Femme Magazine. She met the Flower Boys of Femme there which include: her supposedly secretary Jung Yong Hwa and his gank, Jung Il Woo, Kang Min Hyuk and Yoo Seung Hoo. Jung Il Woo challenged Yong Hwa to take the nerdy In Ha (Shin Hye) to the company anniversary party. When he was trying to win the bet, Yong Hwa found out about Shin Hye's real identity and fell in love with her. They decided to date.  In the party, Shi Hoo - her second cousin - played the recording of the night when Yong Hwa and Il Woo made the bet, infuriating Shin Hye. She decided to assume the director's position and shook things up by re-shuffling the human resource in the company.  Ye Jin, her bestfriend, found out that Shin Hye was an heiress and was furious. Shin Hye decided to move back to the mansion. Shin Hye's brother Hyung Sik was back in Seoul, befriended Yong Hwa and helped him when Shin Hye wanted the theme of December edition changed in last minute. Belle Magazine issued its edition with the same theme as Femme, but it turns out Shin Hye planned the whole thing and published the original theme. Yong Hwa moved in to her old apartment and decided to win her back. Shin Hye went to a party held by Belle and met Kim Tan, her first love. She found out that their date was ruined by So Ra 7 years ago. In the party, So Ra announced that they would be holding a fashion show at the same time as Femme and working with Femme's models. Shin Hye decided to carry on the show, build up a team to organize the fashion show in one month. She held an MT to build teamwork between the people that she chose. After the MT, the team became solid and on the first meeting Shin Hye announced that she will change the whole concept of the fashion show. Shi Hoo decided to pursue the Director's position, came up the reason of protecting his family. He had a conflict with So Ra that made her mad. A chandelier fell and almost hit Shin Hye. Luckily Yong Hwa saved her. Although with minor injury, he could not join the fashion show as field coordinator. Shin Hye became the field coordinator and Lee Hanui became the opener of the show after persuaded by Seung Ho. Shin Hye & Yong Hwa got back together, Hyung Sik was found unconcious after being beaten severly, Shi Hoo use Shin Hye's lowest point and leak the february edition to Belle causing a plagiarism issue. A picture of Shin Hye and So Ra circulated causing a rumor that the mishap was sabotaged by Shin Hye. Chairman Park upset and fought with Shin Hye. He collapsed after the fight.

An ambulance cut through the Seoul afternoon traffic, the siren wailed indicating that the vehicle was carrying someone who needed emergency medical treatment. The traffic was pretty bad, but most of the others vehicle gave the ambulance a way as much as they could. Before long, the ambulance reached Hangook University hospital and the two paramedics immediately wheeled the patient to the VIP treatment ward. Apparently the patient was a rich man who would get different kind of treatment when he was brought into the hospital.

Doctor Kim, a 55 year old physician was Chairman Park's personal doctor; he had serve the family for more than twenty years. The doctor checked Chairman Park's condition very carefully while his grand daughter stood at the end of the bed, silently crying uncontrollably. She looked at the doctor seriously hoping that the result of the examination was nothing serious.

The sliding door suddenly opened, Yong Hwa bursted in looking very worried. He saw Shin Hye holding onto the bed frame tightly; her face was so pale, he was sure she would pass out any minute. He walked towards her and stood on her left, his right arm encircled her waist pulling her close to him. Shin Hye relented, she knew that leaning on him was a better choice than on the bed frame; so she followed his lead and surrender herself in his chest.

The doctor finally put his stethoscope down and kept it inside his coat. Shin Hye stood straight up expecting an explanation from the doctor. He talked to his nurses, giving instructions about Chairman Park's treatment. The nurse nodded and left the room immediately while Dr. Kim turned to Shin Hye and sighed heavily.

"Shin Hye-ya! How are you?" he asked in concern while shook hands with her.

"I'm okay Doctor, how is he?" Shin Hye asked with hoarse voice.

"He had a Cardiogenic Shock. Is he under a lot of stresses lately?" he asked.

Yong Hwa looked at Shin Hye, worried that she might feel guilty for the incident. "Chairman Park is one of the richest man in South Korea, leading a group of several print medias. I think stress is his daily meal." he chimed in.

Doctor Kim smiled to Yong Hwa, "And you are?"

"My name is Jung Yong Hwa, I'm..." he said with his chest up front, he was worried the Doctor was underestimating him.

"My boyfriend... this is my boyfriend." Shin Hye's introduction stunned him.

The doctor smiled knowingly, "Anyway, his blood pressure is very low; he usually got that when he's under a lot of stress. And it's also the symptoms of the shock. Luckily it was a mild one. A strong shock could lead to cardiac arrest." he said sympathetically.

Shin Hye gasped, she tightened her grip to her boyfriend, "You mean he could die?" a large lump caught in .

"Yes! It's a life threatening condition. So we have to observe him for several days. He's stabil for now." he explained.

"My brother is also here, maybe that's why he's under more stress than normally." Shin Hye said, but her eyes glanced sideways as if she was lying about something.

The doctor lit up, "Ah! Matta... do you want to transferred them to the double room? the rooms are connected to a small living room in the middle. I think it would be more convenient for you to watch over both of them."

Shin Hye pondered at the offer and nodded, "Sure! That would be good. Thank you Doctor."

"Be strong Shin Hye-ya. I heard Hyung Sik is doing well also. It's only a matter of time. Maybe he's taking his time to rest... you know how he liked to run away and have a good time on his own? It used to cause major headaches to your parents." he tried to console her.

She smiled, she remembered the doctor was a good friend of her parents. "Thank you Doctor Kim."

"Okay! I'm going to go now. The nurse will explain and guide you about the treatment okay. And he needs to be in a strict diet." he said.

"Do you have any idea when he would wake up?" She asked worriedly.

He shook his head slightly, "Be patient, nothing is certain in human medical condition." he patted her shoulder and left the room. Shin Hye and Yong Hwa bowed gratefully to the doctor.

"That's a relieve then, at least he's okay, right?" Yong Hwa tried to make his girlfriend's feeling better, but the girl did not move. She kept staring at the door, back against him. "Babe? Are you okay?" he caressed her hair. And that's when he heard her sniff, softly at first but turned into wail. "Shin Hye-ya? What's wrong?" he said in panic, reached her shoulder to turn her around.

Her face was flushed in red and tears were all over it, her eyes tightly shut in her attempt to stop crying. "It's my fault... it's my fault!!" she shouted in between her sob. "I did this to him... I said hurtful things to him... I made him like this!!!" she covered her face with her hands.

Yong Hwa looked at her in sympathy and pulled her for an embrace. "Sshh!! Take a deep breath..." he said softly, "I don't know what happen, but I'm sure you don't mean any of it, right?" he caressed her hair.

"No!! I meant it at that time... I wanted to leave him and this God forsaken world!! I hated him..." her shout was muted by his chest.

"No... You don't hate him. You're just mad at him. We all say things we don't mean to when we're mad..." he hugged her tighter.

"Ani! I hated him..." she let go of herself to look at him, "Did you know that he was the one who instructed the whole anniversary party incident? He was the one who tried to separate us!" she hysterically shout.

Yong Hwa put his hands on her cheek, "Who cares about all that? Look at us! We're together, we're happy. That's what matters now!" he said, firm but gently.

Shin Hye froze at his remark, she looked at his eyes. The soothing eyes that could melt any hearts, including the stormy one inside her. "Aren't you mad at him, for ruining our relationship?" she asked in calmer tone.

He smiled, "I'd rather focusing myself in kissing you." he gave her a light peck. Shin Hye's stomach jolted. "Look! Whatever happened, he's still your grandfather. The closest thing you have for a parent. Forgive him okay? Not for him.. for yourself. Stop hurting yourself with anger and hatred. I'm here now, let's just focus in making each other happy. O?!"

She gazed at his face, although tears were still falling from her eyes but she was a lot calmer now. Her hands suddenly raised and rested on his chest, as if wanting to make sure that he was real. His words sank in and became a revelation to her, making her nodded her agreement. 

"Atta girl!!" he praised while leaning down to kiss her. 

The kiss was so comforting, a perfect closure for his effort to calm her. She could feel the fast heart beat from her anger was change into another type of heart race, the more exciting one. She instinctively moved her hands to his waist, clenching tightly to his shirt as she enjoyed every touch of their lips.

They were so drown in their own intimate world, they did not even realise that the sliding door was slid by itself. Secretary Choi was outside closing the aluminum door, making sure that they got their well deserved private time. He smiled in relieve knowing that his beloved Director was in good hands.

Shin Hye put her overnight bag in the cupboard and closed them, she was moving her daily necessities to the common room of the hospital's VIP double room. The common room was like a small studio apartment with a single bed, receiving area, dining table and small kitchen counter complete with microwave and water dispenser.

The room had three access ways, one to the hall way and the other two led to the two treatment wards. The two connecting doors were not always opened, they were accessible based on which room occupied, it was a rare occasion for them to be opened at the same time. Not many people had their two relatives admitted in the hospital at the same time.

She was just about to throw herself to the couch, wanting to rest a bit after one hell of a day, when she heard clacking sound from the room next door, where Hyung Sik was treated. After glancing at the clock, she immediately made her way to that room, knowing that it was time for the Doctor's visit.

The Doctor was already checking his vitals when she walked into the room, the nurse who held a note board took notes of every remark and instruction from the Doctor. Shin Hye discreetly walked and stood at the end of the bed, hoping for any good news. The Doctor finally noticed her and immediately dismissed the nurse once the examination was completed. He shook his head sympathetically at her.

"Everything is still the same." He said, "I know it's frustrating, but it's also good. No news could mean good news." he said.

"I just don't understand... what kind of thing hit him to make him in comma for two weeks?" Shin Hye complaint.

The Doctor smiled, "Human body is still a mystery. Although there are already research or experiment about it, sometimes there are things that can not be understood." Shin Hye frowned at the familiar words. "Also! I heard from my dad about your grandfather, be strong Shin Hye-shi. Everything will be okay." he tried to give encouragement.

"Dad?" she asked quizzically.

"Ah! Deh! Doctor Kim is also my name... Kim Soo Hyun." he said while pointing at his nametag. Shin Hye lit up from the information and smiled weakly. "Go Home, or take some rest. You need to be healthy to take care two persons at the same time." he advised.

"Deh, Doctor! Kamsahamnida." she said while walking him to the door. 

Once she closed the door, a deep sigh escaped from . The doctor tried hard to console her, but the fact that her brother had not woke up for two whole weeks made her restless every day. And now that another member of her family laid on the hospital bed too, she really had no energy and willingness to do anything but to stay by their side.

She sat on the stool beside the bed and stared dejectedly at her brother. The wound from the hitting were almost healed, his bandage was even removed, he now really looked like someone who was peacefully sleeping. The thought of that made her pout, it sometimes anger her when she thought he was doing it on purpose to make her handle all the mess herself. People thought crazy things when their idle and sad.

"Hyung Sik-a! Can you hear me?" she asked, her voice caught in . "You can, can't you?" her eyes started to get teary again. "Do you know that Harabeoji is in the room next door? I think he's mad at me... I told him I'd leave him after all this mess is cleaned up, but he wanted to teach me what it meant by losing a family." she stared blankly at her brother. "Tch! Like I wouldn't know... I lost both of my parents. He left me first wanting me to feel what its like to lost another family... I'm not going to loose you, right Hyung Sik-a?" she sniffed, "You're going to wake up soon, right? I don't care if you don't keep your promise to replace me as the director, I just want you back, okay? Please come back, Hyung Sik-a..." she cried again. Her body sank until she buried her face on the bed, just beside his body.

She jolted awake when she heard commotion in the common room, it sounded like Secretary Choi and Yong Hwa were coming in looking for her. She wiped her tears away and walked to the next room, trying to look normal. The two men instinctively looked at her, they both had worried look on their face. That kind of face was so common in her life lately, making her sigh, not again alarmed with the possibility of bad news.

"Agasshi!!" Secretary Choi exclaimed.

"Shin Hye-ya!!" Yong Hwa followed.

"Ya! Eventhough this is a VIP room, it's still a hospital, you know. You're not allowed to talk that loudly..." Shin Hye said weakly.

"Shin Hye, you have to come with us. Let's go!" Yong Hwa grabbed her elbow and pulled her to the direction of the door.

Somehow the gesture annoyed her, she shrugged his hand, making Yong Hwa looked at her in shock. "Where?!" she barked.

"The BoD is having a meeting right now. They are appointing Park Shi Hoo as the Director. This is practically coup de etat, Agasshi! You have to go to the meeting and stop everything." Secretary Choi explained.

Shin Hye's heart skipped a beat, "Is Shi Hoo Oppa in that meeting?" she had been trying to contact him ever since he went missing.

"No! He made it look like this is all outside of his will." Yong Hwa's face darken as he threw his accusation. "Come on, Shin Hye. We have to be hurry if we want to be there on time." he grabbed her elbow again, like a policeman to his captive.

She shrugged him again, "Let them..." she said firmly, her elbow was slightly hurt from the friction.

"What!?" Both men exclaimed.

"Let them appoint Shi Hoo Oppa... I have to stay here, Dr. Kim would soon visit Harabeoji, I have to be here." she said coldly, her face was almost like a robot.

"Agashi..." Secretary Choi said.

"Secretary Choi, could you please leave us alone?" Yong Hwa said, his voice was gentle but full of authority, even the older man could not help but to follow the request. Knowing that the younger man might be able to change the Director's mind, he backed off, went out of the room and slid the door shut.

Shin Hye went to the refrigerator, pretended to be busy. She knew he was trying to talk some senses into her, but she was determined not to change her mind. She wanted to give up, she was okay with the idea of Shi Hoo taking her position, at least he was still a part of the family. She took a glass of water and raised her hand to drink it.

"So that's it?" the glass stopped in front of , just by hearing his voice she knew he was mad. "You're going to give up, just like that?"

Shin Hye's eyes shook, she hated the fact that she was still hesitating; but she could not let it show. So she drank the water and walked to the couch, completely ignoring his outburst. "I'm tired, can you let me rest?"

"The hell you're not!! It's no time for you to be resting. You have to fight, Shin Hye-ya! Are you really okay with losing your family's management right?? Moreover to that back-stabbing traitor?" he yelled in disbelief.

"At least he's still a Park." she sat down without looking at him.

"My goddamn neighbor is a Park, why don't you give it to him instead!?" he shouted.

Shin Hye jolted from the loud voice and finally looked at him, "Why are you so emotional about this?" she looked at him like he was some kind of alien.

"Me?? Why aren't you emotional about this? He's trying to steal from you! From your family? I don't understand why you're giving up so easily like this!?" His voice softened at the end.

"It's because I'm tired, okay!!!?" she finally shouted back. "Stop telling me what to do!! Stop pushing me around! I do not like being dictated like that!!" her chest visibly raised and lowered from the heavy breathing.

Yong Hwa was taken aback by her outburst, his expression softened. He felt guilty for shouting at her. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have yell at you. Please Shin Hye-ya. Don't give up now... he is not a better leader than you. You know how Femme was declining under his reign, it only went for the better after you stepped in. A lot of people are counting on you, people could loose their job because of this." he argued.

Shin Hye closed her ears with both hands, not wanting to be persuaded anymore. "Stop!! I don't want to hear any of it!!" she shook her head.

Yong Hwa took several steps closer and reached for her hands, "No! You have to listen. I know it's hard on you, but please... I beg you, be strong for one last time. For all of us. We need you, Shin Hye-ya!" 

"No!!" she shrugged her hands and pushed him. He was surprised by the force that made him staggered a few steps back. Shin Hye widened her eyes, also shocked by her own strength. "Why do I always have to be strong for everybody? Why does everybody always counting on me? Why can't I refused to be strong for everybody!? What about meee???" she said between her sobs.

"So what? Are you okay losing your company?" he challenged her, his tone was slowly back being aggressive.

"I don't see why not, I'm perfectly fine living as a commoner in Paris. I don't need all this richness." she said.

Yong Hwa scoffed, "It's easy for you to say, you live that life by choice. My mom had to raise five children on her own, giving up her dream and learn to cook while working two jobs everyday. For so many days she had to give up her dinner for her children. Are you okay living like that? Are you okay knowing that someone in your company would live like that after losing her job because of this? Are you sure you will not regret your decision today, when you had to work three jobs just so you can feed you children??" he countered.

Shin Hye froze, his words really got her this time. Tears were still falling uncontrollably on her cheek.  Suddenly the door slid open, Ye Jin's head popped in. She jumped in surprise realising the tension in the air, but her body did not stopped and just bursted inside the room. She then stood awkwardly in front of the door, watching the man stared at the woman intensely, while the woman hung her head.

"Ye Jin eonni, could you please leave us for a minute. We are in the middle of a very important discussion." Yong Hwa asked, politely but forcefully.

"I.. Uh, sure..." she said hesitantly and was about to stepped out.

Shin Hye jerked, "No!" she shot daggers at him, "Come in, Ye Jin eonni. There's no secret between us." She looked straight to his eyes.

Yong Hwa's expression turned even darker, "I can't believe any of this, where's that fierce girl who fought with everybody after her establishment as the director? Where's the girl who secretly learned the 25 years history of the company in the span of one week? Where's the girl who bravely fought with a giant wolf??" his voice got louder by the sentence. "How can you be so selfish?"

"Selfish!?? I'm selfish?? You try having all of your family laying unconsciously in the hospital at the same time!!!!" she screamed.

"Look, I'm not disregarding your problem. I know your situation is huge, but all I and Secretary Choi asked is for you to come to the meeting with us, one hour top. They are both in good hands, they will be saved. The only thing that is not save is you, your friends, us!" he tried one last time.

"What is that supposed to mean?" she said in panic.

"Once Shi Hoo is up there, you know for sure I would be the first one to be thrown away. My friends would be next and everybody who supported you. He will change everything back like it was, away from your parent's dream and ideas when they first built this company. If it were me, I'd want to fight as hard as I could for my family." he said gritting his teeth from his frustration.

"Well!! You're not me... if you know you would be sacked, resign now. Take all of your friends too... save your before the ship is drown." she said coldly. The other girl in the room turned her head to Yong Hwa expecting his reaction, she felt like she was watching a drama.

Yong Hwa shook his head, "I'm so disappointed in you!" he said softly but it made Shin Hye's face turned into shock. "Is this why we work so hard this past two months? Is this why I risk my life for that fashion show? For you to easily give up like this?"

Shin Hye's felt a pinching sensation on her left chest, disappointing him turned out to be something that she hated. "Sorry to disappoint you, there's the door... you're free to leave anytime you want. Kaa!!!" she shouted.

He looked at her in disbelief, hoping that she would take her words back. When she did not show any sign of it, he shook his head, took a deep sigh and turned around. Without saying anything, he plodded outside of the room and disappeared from her sight. With that, Shin Hye sank back to the couch, covered her face and wailed, letting all of her desperation out of her chest.

She did not know how long she cried when suddenly she heard clanking sound, her hands slowly lowered so she could see what was happening. Ye Jin was already sitting beside her, opening several plastic boxes that contain her and Mrs. Kim Mi Kyung's most famous foods: dumpling, kimbab, soondae. Shin Hye's stomach suddenly jolted by the temptation, she looked at her eonni, wanting for an explanation.

"You know! People think better with their stomach full... here, let's eat first and tell me what happened. I'm sure you're hungry from all of those shouting." She said gently, like a mother to her daughter. She handed a box full of rice to Shin Hye and put some soondaes on top of it. 

Shin Hye looked at the rice and eventually raised her trembling chopstick hand to scoop it. And as she sniffed her tears, she swallowed the delicious dinner until her bowl was empty, all the while updated Ye Jin on her fight just then.

Ye Jin pursed her lips after handing a glass of water to Shin Hye, "Er... you know he's right, right?" she asked carefully, Shin Hye's shout was not of her favourite habit of the best friend. 

Shin Hye stared at her eonni murderously, "O!" she said eventually, "But I'm not ready Eonni... I have too many things on my plate right now. I don't know what to do, how to do it. I'm so confused..."

"But pushing him away is not one way to solve it, right? As I see it, he would willing to take bullets for you if you ask him to..." Ye Jin said matter-of-factly.

Shin Hye sighed heavily, regretting every word she said to him. Fear suddenly washed over her as she remembered the disappointment in his face before he left her. "Eonni! Did I just loose him again?" the heartache struck her again.

The beeping sound of an apartment security system sounded like a thunder in the quiet living room; although there were three adult men in it, the room was in a complete silence as each man was in their own deep thoughts. They simultaneously turned in the direction of the front door expectantly, already guessing who was trying to enter the unit.

The tune that indicates 'approved security pass code' chimed, the sound of the door opened and closed was heard, soon another man walked in with a face so dark it looked like a member of a family died. He threw himself on the sofa, ignoring the curiously look of his friends. He rubbed his eyes with his palms and rested them on his lap, his sigh echoed throughout the living room.

"So, How is she?" Il Woo was the first to voiced their curiosity.

Yong Hwa lowered his hands and looked at his friends alternately. His eyes were bloodshot as if he withheld his cry. "She's this close to give up!" he formed a small gap using his right thumb and index finger. "She couldn't care less if she lost her family's management right to the company." he added.

"I don't blame her... I might do the same if my only two families were in the hospital unconscious." Min Hyuk defended his noona.

"I'm not blaming her!!" Yong Hwa shouted, unnecessarily offended by Min Hyuk's remark.

"Yong Hwa-ya!" Il Woo chided.

Yong Hwa's expression immediately softened realising his mistake, "I'm not blaming her... I just want her to stay strong and keep fighting! She's not alone, she shouldn't have to bear this all herself."

"Hyung...! Yes she's not alone, she has us... but what can we do? The BoD is already made up their mind. Park Shi Hoo's establishment as the new Director is final." Seung Ho exclaimed.

Yong Hwa looked at them dejectedly, rubbed his face abruptly and roared, "Isn't there anything that we could do to help her!!?" he shouted in frustration adding the grave atmosphere to the living room. He looked down, at Il Woo's velvety carpet, his eyes scrambled as if tracing the pattern of the carpet. "Andwe getta!! We need to do something! We can't just give up without putting a proper fight." he finally exclaimed with a determined eyes.

His friends looked intrigued and paid attention, "Do you have any plan?" Il Woo asked.

"Here's what I thought, there are two people who we need to take down: Park Shi Hoo and Kang So Ra, right?" the three men nodded, "Park Shi Hoo is our only suspect for the leakage, so we need to find proof of his crime!"

"I got into his computer and email, but everything is clean!" Min Hyuk said.

"You said yourself that this time the leakage was done offline." Yong Hwa pointed his index finger.

"CCTV!" Min Hyuk exclaimed, Yong Hwa snapped his finger in excitement. "But there's also possibility that the exchange was not done in the building." Min Hyuk said worriedly.

"But that's a start, if we have to, we can ask Detective Lee Sun Gyung to help us with the neighborhood CCTV." Yong Hwa said.

"Arasso, I'll handle that!" Min Hyuk said.

"Great! The next one is Kang So Ra!" Yong Hwa turned to his other two bestfriends, "Our only case was the chandelier incident, we need to find out what really happened." he said.

"Park Shi Hoo said he interrogated the lighting man, thus found out that he was Kang So Ra's man to hurt Shin Hye." Il Woo squinted his already small eyes to recall the incident.

"Wait! It's what he said, what we don't know are: did Shi Hoo-shi really interrogated him? Was the man really Kang So Ra's man? Did he really wanted to hurt Director Park." Seung Ho countered.

Yong Hwa shook his head is annoyance, "That bastard is in every , isn't he?" 

"The only way is to find the guy and really interogate him." Il Woo said.

"Agree, we need to track him down and investigate the incident. Shin Hye did not want to report the incident to the police becase she was scared it would disturbed the show. But it's over now, we can file a real lawsuit for the incident." Yong Hwa nodded.

"I'll do it! I know the decoration and lighting company really well, I think I can track that guy down." Seung Ho offered.

"Arasso! I believe you can do it!" Yong Hwa said, "I'll help you with it. Il Woo ya!" he called his best friend.

"O!" the bestfriend answered.

"You're the HR. As I see it, if Park Shi Hoo had his hands on the BoD, Shin Hye is well loved by the employee. Create some kind of petition to against her dismissal and support her establishment." Yong Hwa said.

Il Woo nodded, "Good idea! I'll handle that!" he said without hesitation.

"Good! Let's start working now and meet tonight at the hospital to report. Chairman Park's room is unbelievably big, it had it's own living room separated from the treatment room. What do you say we use it as our basecamp, we need to show Shin Hye that we are still fighting, so she should not give up yet!" Yong Hwa asked his team and welcomed with agreement nod by the friends. "And guys, please help! We really need to succeed! We can not let that bastard sit on the throne. It's our job on the line also!" Yong Hwa said seriously.

The all four men had a silent agreement, simultaneously stood up and walked out of the unit and dispersed to do their own assignment. Min Hyuk and Il Woo went back to their office. The younger man went to the security office to check on the CCTV while Il Woo sat on his chair formulating an email blast to the employee of Femme, he then wrote a letter as the petition. 

Meanwhile, Yong Hwa and Seung Ho went straight to the lighting company to ask about the staff who were assigned to them during the fashion show event. They received a list of the staff and talked to each and everyone of them. One by one Yong Hwa scratched the name from the list as they finished talking to each of them. After awhile the short list became very narrow, leaving only one name behind. Unfortunately the guy resigned a week before. With that, Yong Hwa and Seung got their suspect and focused their search on that particular person.

Shin Hye stepped out of the shower and stood in front of the sink, she rubbed the mirror from the steam that was covering it. Her reflection on the mirror told her that the long hot shower that she just took did nothing to elevate her look, she was still pale, underweight and messy. Her eye-bags was so apparent and her lips chapped, the complexion of her face that used to be flawless became dark and unlively.

She sighed heavily, her hand stretched out to reach for her toothbrush but a sound from the living room just outside of the bathroom caught her attention. It was as if there were people in it when in fact she was alone when she first stepped into the shower. She tilted her head to listen closely and concluded that, there were indeed people there. So she canceled her plan to brush her teeth and put on her clothes instead.

Shin Hye opened the bathroom door and instantly gaped, the once tidy hospital living room was now filled with papers and flash disks. Four men was sitting on the sofa minding their own business. Min Hyuk slouched on the couch, laptop was on his lap. He was watching something on his gadget while nibbling dried squid. Il Woo was on an armchair, the papers were his and he was busy with his phone looking like he was trying to persuade someone. Seung Ho was doing something with his phone while discussing with Yong Hwa. 

They were all so focused at what they were doing that they did not even realize that Shin Hye was there. They settled down in the living room with a lot of snacks and beverages on the coffee table like it was the most natural thing to do. Shin Hye frowned in confusion for not knowing what was going on.

"What is this? Why are you all here?" she asked eventually. They all looked at her like she was the one who was out of place.

"Wow! That was one hell of a long shower you had!!" Yong Hwa said nonchalantly like nothing bad happened between them, a huge fight for example. "Did you know that Min Hyuk had to run to the restroom in the lobby downstairs to do his business because he doesn't want to disturb your shower?" he pointed the younger man with his chin.

Shin Hye's expression softened, she was glad that Yong Hwa was back and did not seem to be mad at all. "Yong-a! What happened, why are you all here?" she said softly.

"Shin Hye's army is back!" Yong Hwa said with a grin.

"We're the new private investigators working on the case: bring down Femme's enemy." Seung Ho added without diverting his attention from his phone. "Hyung! My friend who worked at a restaurant in Myeongdong said, this Park Bo Gum guy worked there for three days as a waiter. He left now but he said this guy came through a recommendation of his colleague."

"Who's Park Bo Gum?" Shin Hye asked quizzically.

"The chandelier guy!" Yong Hwa answered briefly, "Cheong mal!! That's great news! Let's head out there tomorrow!" he said to Seung Ho and replied with a nod by the younger guy.

He then tossed his phone to the couch, stretched his arms and leaned over to his best friend on his left. Min Hyuk raised his right hand which was holding a flash disk without even diverting his sight from his laptop. Seung Ho pouted and grabbed the flash disk, he then took out his own laptop and stuck the media into it. Before long he was already copying his bestfriend pose and drowned at whatever he was watching on the notebook.

Shin Hye was stunned after finally realizing what they were doing, her heart warmed up by the kind gesture but her brain told her to stop them. They did enough already for her and she did not want to burden them anymore with her problem. "You guys, you don't have to do..." she wanted to tell them to give up.

"Il Woo-ya? How many people signed?" Yong Hwa cute her off, she glowered weakly at him thinking that he did that on purpose.

"So far, 30!" he said, "But some said they would drop by to the hospital to submit the signature tonight."

"Il Woo-shi, what are you talking about? What signature?" Shin Hye asked.

"Good, hopefully we can get more by tomorrow." Yong Hwa ignored her question again.

"Yaa!!!" Shin Hye weakly protested. Yong Hwa glanced at her, his stare was tender but decisive, making her stopped her protest. Their stare-off was disturbed by the ringing sound of Il Woo's phone.

The man stared at his phone for awhile, he looked puzzled at first but then brightened up. "Yobuseyo?" his tone was indecisive. "O? You're down stairs? Arasso... I'll meet you in the lobby!" he said while abruptly running out of the room, almost bumped into Shin Hye on the way.

"Ya! Ya! Ya! Who is it?" Yong Hwa asked nosy.

Shin Hye's eyebrows got deeper as she was being ignored the whole time, so she wrist-grabbed her man and pulled him out of the room. The two younger men looked at the latest commotion in the room, yawned a bit and diverted their attention back to their respective laptop.

Il Woo ran out from the elevator and looked around the waiting room on the ground floor of Hangook University hospital. The hall was actually pretty empty but he could not find the person he was looking for. Panic started to come across his mind, making him jumpier at his every movement. He ran from one spot to another of the lobby and finally jolted when he turned around and saw the girl in front of him.

Hyo Rin widened her eyes quizzically, "What's wrong? Why are you panicking?" she asked.

Il Woo side-glanced and immediately tried to look compose. "Huh!? Nothing. I didn't want you to wait too long, but I didn't see you so I thought you left." he lied.

"I... was sitting over there." Hyo Rin pointed to a seat beside a pillar. "I waved at you, but you didn't see me instead running to the other directions." she said matter-of-factly.

"Aaah!!" Il Woo laughed nervously, "I must've missed you." he said. "Ah! I need a drink. Do you want coffee?" Hyo Rin nodded with a faint smile. "Great, wait there. I'll go grab the coffees." He said, hurriedly walked to the vending machine to buy the coffee, he huffed audibly to let out his nerve.

Hyo Rin accepted the coffee once he was back and stood in front of her. He moved to her side afterwards and they sat in silence for a few minutes, enjoying the warm coffee before Il Woo finally started the conversation. "So, why are you here?" he asked.

She jolted for remembering the purpose of her visit, put the paper cup down and grabbed her bag. She took out a piece of paper and gave it to him. "This is the petition that I and Soo Jung signed."

Il Woo accepted the papers and smiled, "You shouldn't have to come all the way here for two pieces of paper. You can give me tomorrow at the office." though he was actually happy that she came; the insignificant reason made him giddy even more.

Hyo Rin let out her index finger, telling him to wait. She grabbed a paper bag under her seat and took out more pieces of paper. Il Woo widened his eyes looking at the thickness of the documents. "These are the petitions signed by Delivery Department in 5th floor, combined with the petition of the business owner that work with us during the fashion show." she said.

Il Woo's smile turned to a grin. "Mwo?" he said light-heartedly.

"I told the Delivery Department about the warehousing method that Shin Hye-shi came up with, and told her current condition. They immediately signed the petition. Then I and Soo Jung went to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun, we met the business owner who participated in our fashion show. The also agreed to sign. I don't know if it count for the BoD meeting, though." she said.

Il Woo scoffed in amazement, "Yeah!! Anyone will do. We need as many as possible." he exclaimed while looking at the stacks of paper. "Yeah there must be about a hundred here?" 

"One hundred twenty five, seven with mine and Soo Jung." Hyo Rin corrected, "O! And Kwang Soo-shi is bringing the ones from TTL." she remarked.

"Gu rae? That's great... thank you!" he said gratefully which made Hyo Rin smiled proudly. "Wow!! I've seen many new different sides of you lately..."

"What do you mean?" Hyo Rin frowned slightly.

"The old Hyo Rin that I knew would never want to talk for somebody else's matter, let alone fight to defend other people." he said.

Hyo Rin looked down and smiled shyly, "I know right? I guess she touched something in me... I always thought she was different though, even during her trainee days."

Il Woo chuckled softly remembering those times, "Yeah... I remember how you would get annoyed by her but still asked her to be put under your department." they both laughed at her silliness.

"But that's not the only thing different about you... Your tenacity and agility during the fashion show preparation, your unique singing voice during karaoke. I never thought you can be that goofy." he teased.

Hyo Rin face turned red, "Stop it, I was drunk. I guess I tend to sing when I'm drunk." they both laughed. "Is that a good thing? For you to see different sides of me?" she asked after the laughter subsided.

Il Woo was taken aback by the question, "Of course! I liked all of them..." he said sincerely

Hyo Rin's stomach suddenly flared up, "How is she?" she asked ignoring the ticklish sensation.

"For a woman who's in the edge of losing her only two family members, good I guess. She's very strong..." Il Woo said, he then glanced at her cautiously. "Keun De, Hyo Rin-a! Do you know about Shi Hoo sunbae?" he asked.

Hyo Rin froze for a few second at the mention of her old crush. "O! Wae?" she said finally.

"Do you think its true?" Il Woo asked carefully.

She shrugged, "He was always very ambitious and workaholic. I was surprised at first, but I guess we could never know what's inside human's mind and heart." she said sullenly.

Il Woo nudged her arm, "Gwenchana?"

Hyo Rin looked at him and chuckled, "Why wouldn't I? He's just an old crush now..." he raised his eyebrows, asking for more explanation. "You're right! Once I confessed and got rejected, it was easier to move on." she said.

"Cheongmall!?" He exclaimed, "Oops! I'm sorry, I'm not supposed to be happy that you got rejected, aren't I?" his look was deadpan; but in another second they both bursted out laughing.

"Aigoo! Do whatever you want, Il Woo shi!" she exclaimed.

Il Woo's smile got even wider, his old flame flared again though he never really put out the fire. He looked at his watch and turned to her, "It's late, do you want a ride home? I need to know where you live for the next time you got drunk." he joked.

Hyo Rin chuckled, for the umpteenth time that night. Il Woo thought he could get used of the laugh. She finally nodded her head accepting his invitation, they stood up and walked to the elevator. Il Woo grabbed her bag and paper bag on her hands, trying to win some score. She noticed the gesture and smiled widely, she thought she could get used of being treated nicely by him.

Shin Hye pulled Yong Hwa's wrist all the way to the rooftop garden, she looked troubled and annoyed; while the man smiled tenderly as he let himself be dragged by his girl. They walked all the way to the edge of the garden and stopped, she turned around and looked at him with disappointed look.

"Wae?" he asked gently, "Are you going to be mad again?"

"Yong-a!? Why are you doing this? I told you, I'm okay losing everything... I don't have time to fight, I need to take care of Hyung Sik and Harabeoji." she said dejectedly, she wished she could just lost in that broad chest of him and cried.

"Did I ask you to do anything? I'm not asking you to fight, we are fighting for you. Just stay in the hospital, we'll take care of everything." he said matter-of-factly.

Shin Hye heaved a deep sigh. "How do you expect me to let them fight my war while I do nothing?" she felt awful at the thought.

"Ya! Haven't you had friends before? That's what friends do, they helped each other!" he flicked her forehead slightly. "Look, I'm sorry I yelled at you this afternoon... I'm sorry I got mad. I was worried and frustrated by you. But I realized I wasn't being fair to you. You're having a hard time, and I shouldn't have added more, I should've help instead." he stepped forward to close their gap and put his hand on her cheek. "So let me help you, it's what boyfriends do. They protect their girl, and they helped her when she needed the most."

Shin Hye's lips trembled, her heart melt at every word of his. "You really are a good salesman, Jung Yong Hwa-shi." they chuckled at her joke. "Thank you, and I'm sorry for yelling at you too this afternoon. I knew you were just being concerned, I guess venting anger to the one we love is human nature." she pursed her lips at her justification.

"Ya! Didn't I promise to be your punching bag if you ever take me back?" he hugged her tightly. Shin Hye plunged her face on his chest and her hands s all the way to his back. His scent invaded her sense, giving her an instant soothing effect.

"I thought you were mad at me and left me. I thought we broke up again." she confessed

"Shhh!!" He hissed putting his hands on her shoulder and pushed her slightly to look at her. "I told you, I will never let you go again. Fights and bickers are common between couple. Don't go around thinking about breaking up everytime we fight. Arasso!!" he fake-scolded her.

Shin Hye giggled at his show of dominance. "Arasso! Saranghae, Yong-a!"

Yong Hwa's heart skipped a beat, "I love you more!" his smile curled, "No more break up talk!?" he squinted his eyes to look serious.

"O!" she agreed.

"Poppo!?" he asked with suppressed smile.

Shin Hye closed their gap by tightening her embrace again and looked up, their faces were just centimeters away. "O!" she demanded.

Yong Hwa gave her a light peck which left her pouting, disappointed at the level of kiss he gave her. He chuckled while putting his hands on her neck and gave her a real kiss. The most passionate kiss he could give her in public. Shin Hye's heart beat so fast it could explode any moment, her bottled-up stress released by the intimacy, her whole body felt warm and melting inside his embrace. The new feeling she felt during their make out session in her office came back. The feeling of wanting more than a kiss, the yearning for the highest level of intimacy. She wished they were not in public.

"Ahem!!" they heard someone cleared his throat and immediately broke the kiss to look at the intruder.

Shin Hye looked to her left, her face was still red from the lust. She gasped to see Min Hyuk standing a few meters from them, looking very awkward and alarmed, clearly had witnessed their intimate moment. She instantly looked away and buried her face in Yong Hwa's chest, she crunched her face for being totally embarrassed.

Yong Hwa who was also in a state not too far fetched with his girl, had a more success in controlling his expression of desire. He instinctively wrapped his arms around her head to protect her for being seen. A failed attempt if one may judged.

"Er... I'm sorry. This is kind of important." Min Hyuk's face was full of guilt.

Yong Hwa glanced slightly to the girl below his nose and silently chuckled, "What is it, Min Hyuk-a?" tightening his embrace while turning his head to his dongsaeng.

"Hyung Sik woke up." Min Hyuk said matter-of-factly.

"Mwo!?" Yong Hwa and Shin Hye cried simultaneously. Shivers ran through Shin Hye's spine, she instantly forgot about the embarrassing situation she was in and immediately ran towards her brother's room. Yong Hwa followed her and gave Min Hyuk a mischievous wink before disappearing into the building. Min Hyuk pursed his lips joyfully, knowing that both of his favorite hyung and noona had reconciled.

Shin Hye almost bumped her body to the door when she arrived at Hyung Sik's room. She saw nurses surrounding the bed, probably checking on his vitals. Seung Ho was standing a bit far, looking bright and joked around with the person on the bed. Shin Hye slowly walked towards the bed, feeling surreal at her own emotions. She wanted to smile but afraid that everything was unreal, so she waited until she could confirm the news.

The nurses finished their duty and dispersed, uncovering Hyung Sik who was still lying on the bed although the upper part of it was already put straight up. His face was pale and was still surrendering to the bed below him, but he looked like he regained his consciousness 100%; he even could laugh weakly at Seung Ho's joke. 

Shin Hye's lips slowly curled into a smile, her heart beat faster at every step towards the bed. The uncertainty that clouded her just now, dispersed. She could finally sighed in relieve, cried the happy tears and felt grateful again. Her brother is back!! Her ultimate friend!! The one person who knew her the most!

"Noona!" Hyung Sik called her weakly, his pale and chapped lips smiled.

"Hyung Sik-a!" a tear fell on Shin Hye's cheek. "You came back!!" she said midway. "Thank you for coming back!!!" she cried while throwing herself on him for a hug.

"Aargh!!" Hyung Sik grimaced in pain, his body was so stiff for being still for two weeks. But he was as happy to see her.

"O! Sorry... did I hurt you?" Shin Hye instinctively got up from him.

Hyung Sik chuckled softly, "Ani! It's okay Noona..." he said.

"Aaww yeah!! The man is back!!" Shin Hye heard Yong Hwa's shout from her back. She turned to him and saw him wink at her, stood beside her and wrapped his arm around her waist. They both completely forgot that none of their friends knew that they were back together.

Hyung Sik widened his eyes... "O!! What is this?" he pointed to them, making them realize the mistake they just made. Shin Hye tried to break free but Yong Hwa just held her closer, smiling mischievously at Hyung Sik. "Wow! I passed out too long, didn't I?"

"No !" Shin Hye said while raising her hand as if to smack him.

"Noona!" Hyung Sik cried in fear. "A month, remember?"

"Ya! You passed out for two weeks, your one month free from violence has expired." she shouted jokingly.

Hyung Sik froze, "Two weeks, Wow! It means, now is the 15th?" he asked in disbelief.

Shin Hye's laughter subsided, "O! Hyung Sik-a.." She was about to say something when the door slid open. Officer Lee Sun Gyun walked in and immediately shook hands with Yong Hwa.

"Thank you for letting me know immediately." he said to Yong Hwa.

"Hyung Sik-a, this is officer Lee Sun Gyun. He's the one who handled your case since the beginning. Are you okay to give your testimony now?" Yong Hwa asked.

Shin Hye looked at her brother in concern, "I... dont think that's a good idea, Yong-a! He just woke up."

"No! It's okay... thank you for saving me officer. Forgive me for not properly sit up." Hyung Sik said seriously.

"Aniyo, Hyung Sik-shi. Thank you for having me in your first hour awake. May I?" he took out his notepad. Hyung Sik nodded. Lee Sun Gyun started his questioning by asking his personal data, making sure that Hyung Sik was in full conciousness. "Do you know what date is it today?" he asked eventually.

"Deh, it's the 15th. My sister just told me." Hyung Sik replied calmly. Shin Hye sat on the stool and held his hand.

"So you know that you had been in a comma for two weeks. Can you recall what happen on the night of February 1st?" the policeman asked.

"We went to the lighthouse to celebrate the success of our event, then we went for a second round to a noraebang. Everybody except Yong Hwa hyung and Shin Hye noona." He glanced suspiciously at the object of his sentence, both of the suspects' face went red from blushing. "I stayed for an hour and decided to call it a night." he squinted his eyes. "I... remembered a van pulled over in front of me, two men came down and put something on my head. The next thing I knew, I was in a run down building. Like a warehouse. At least that was my guess since I could hear things being dragged and voices are echoed like in a big hangar."

"Were you there alone?" the officer's deep voice sounded like thunder in the silent room.

"I don't think so. My head was covered with the cloth all the time, but I could hear people talking. And um..." Hyung Sik grimaced in pain, he suddenly felt a terrible headache.

"You don't have to force yourself too much." Shin Hye said gently.

He shook his head, "No its okay.. I heard dogs. Dogs barking vigorously. I remember being very afraid that they would feed me to the dogs." his eyes stared blankly recalling the horrific experience. Shin Hye held his hand tighter to give him support.

"Oh Yeah! Did you have a chance to check that warehouse I told you?" Yong Hwa chimed in, "The one where I and Shin Hye were chased by a Siberian husky?"

"Mwo? What are you talking about? When did you chased by a dog and why didn't I know anything about it?" Hyung Sik glowered at his sister.

Shin Hye slack-jawed in panic, she forgot that her brother was not supposed to know about the incident. "It just happened... it doesn't matter now."

"Ugh! You're so lucky I'm sick, otherwise you'll be dead by my hands right now." Hyung Sik threatened.

"Ya! A patient should not say something like that..." Shin Hye quipped though she felt guilty.

Detective Lee Sun Gyun chuckled at the sibling's antic, "Yes I did, it is owned by a paper company, the owner name is Nam Goong Min. But he said he's not aware of any illegal activity happening in that property. It was for sale so he did not monitored it much."

"And you believe that?" Yong Hwa asked.

"Of course not, I checked his background. Unfortunately it's very clean. He graduated from Seoul National University majoring in business, top of the class, model student, member of the science club. It's hard to connect him with the gambling and this incident.

"But... his company do lose a lot from Director Park's new policy." Min Hyuk suddenly chimed in.

"What do you mean?" the detective turned to Min Hyuk intrigued by the new information.

"Well, Yong hwa Hyung and Director Park came to the warehouse because it's our new supplier, right? Now, the purchase to the company is decreased very rapidly because of your recycle paper project with TTL." Min Hyuk said.

"TTL?" detective Lee Sun Gyun frowned at the unfamiliar word.

"It's an initial from TtagTtagulli, it means Woodpecker. Our old supplier that we re-use for another project. And he's right, we did decrease our PO to Nam Goong Min-shi's company." Shin Hye said.

"Initial...!" Hyung Sik suddenly exclaimed, "Wait, aren't you friends with Nam Goong Min? Didn't you go to college with him?" he asked to his sister.

"What do you mean? He graduated in Seoul, I went to Paris for college..." Shin Hye said matter-of-factly, "Is your head still hurt?" she asked in concern.

Hyung Sik frowned, "That's right... so what does it mean, really?" he mumbled.

"Wae gurae?" Yong Hwa asked.

"Even though I was being blindfolded, I still could hear them talking. I think there were about four persons in the room, one of them had more authority than the others. They were talking about sending a message to someone with PSH as initials. That's why I thought it was you... remember that we used to carved our initials to our tree house?" Hyung Sik asked his sister, she nodded. "I always relate PSH with you. But I guess it wasn't. Anyway, it seemed that the person in authority was a college friend of this PSH and they wanted to send message to him or her. Hence kidnapping me... I don't know why assaulting me got to do with something." he voiced his confusion.

"Well! I guess he needs to know something, Detective." Yong Hwa said to the Detective, the guy nodded to give Yong Hwa his permission. "He suspects that the one who kidnapped you had anything to do with our fight at 'the bar'. Remember when we first met and you helped me fought that giant?"

Hyung Sik lit up, "Ah!! Matta! So that's where I saw him!" he exclaimed, making everybody's shivers ran through their respective spine. "He's the one who jumped on me from the van, there were two. I think one of them knocked me out afterwards." he said.

"Okay, let's recap. So the one who kidnapped you was the one who fought with you and Yong Hwa hyung on a bar, but they are also a part of an illegal dog fighting whose business was wrecked because of Yong Hwa hyung and Shin Hye noona. The illegal dog fighting was held on a property owned by Femme's supplier whose sale decrease because of Shin Hye noona or Director Park's new policy..." Min Hyuk said in a true nerdy analysis.
