"Make yourself at home."

Instead of sitting down elegantly like how any other sophisticated lady would do, Amber didn't really give a damn of her manners and simply fell in complete bliss on the couch of the Jung residence. With shoes on, she let her feet braced against the edge, much to the chagrin of the eldest daughter of the Jung family. 

"Gee....By all means, don't mind me here." Jessica Jung rolled her eyes before returning back to her reading, giving the newspapers in her hands a flick as though to emphasise her disgust. 

Despite the rosy red embarrassment rising to her cheeks, Amber still didn't make an attempt to sit properly (well, they did say make yourself at home).

"Hey, Krystal! You guys have beer?" hollered Amber to the youngest Jung sibling, who was busy ransacking through the kitchen cupboards. 

"Oh, no! Beer is off-limited for you, Amber! How about a cucumber sandwich?" 

"Now, what the heck is that?"

"Oh, I found it in the celler this morning. So, would you like one, Amber? Or would you like me to just put you in the chopper instead?" suggested Krystal. She probably looked exasperated by the sound of her impatient tone. 

It was those moments where Amber could see the similarities between the two Jung sisters. "Cucumber would be nice..." murmured Amber before retreating to the scruffs of her sweater. "Jeez, you guys are so uptight." 

"If we are, then how do you even be friends with my sister?" retaliated Jessica from behind the newspaper that covered her face. 

Amber and Krystal weren't the bestest pair of friends out there, but they were close enough to the point of Krystal would dropped by the barn, helping Amber around with her dogs.

"Hmm....now that you mention it....Kai happened." mentioned the younger girl offhandedly. 

"Kai?"

Jessica's usual cool voice was now a complete new level of coldness, and Amber, like the blabber she was, continued her story as she reminisced the very day.

When they both were during their pre-adolescence, Krystal had dropped by Amber's apartment building, and hung around the lobby as she waited for her classmate. It had just so happened that Amber had wanted to walk one of her sheepdogs—a young one in fact, and as she pulled the black, furry hound out of the elevator, it's ears perked up adorably at the sight of another girl besides his mistress. 

Naturally, he barked, scaring Krystal as she looked at him like a deer caught in the headlights.

"Hush, Kai!" hissed Amber.

Ignoring his mistress's warning, he darted after Krystal, adrenaline rushing in his veins at the sight of the screaming girl as she tried to avoid his baby teeth. 

It was a hilarious scene. Due to the limited space to escape, Krystal was reduced to a shivering ball of fear and saliva in the corner until Amber had to drag the excited dog away, apologizing profusely at the scared girl. 

And from that day onward, they became good friends. 

"Yeah, if I remember correctly," mused Amber. "Kai was the one who went after her." 

Later on, it took a whole day for Krystal to clear the misunderstanding, as Amber was being shaken like a rag doll by her older sister.
