CHAPTER 2 - A GETAWAY

 

“Aaaahhh this things is endless!” Bom’s scream can be heard all over her office.

“Sajangnim here’s the document from the recent project. You need to read this through and give an aproval to it by the end of the day”

Bom’s PA handing her some more new documents. As if her desk can take anymore papers. Bom have been super busy lately. She’s got to work extra hard because she’s replacing her brother place as he is now taking his honeymoon at Europe with his beautiful wife. Park Dongwook, also known as Bom’s brother is the CEO of Seoul Park Mall, a very well known and succesfull mall in the City of Seoul. Bom being the Vice president of her family mall bussines gladly took her brother job’s for a temporary moment cause she would like them to have their private time without being disturb by works. But then again the works is increased day by day and it’s becoming a handfull job for her.

“Theres more? Noooo”

“I can asure you this is the last one sajangnim”

“Well it should be, i’m getting tired reading through documents and attending meetings by now”

“Fighting!” her PA left her. Leaving Bom’s alone at her office. Drowned with paper works.

“Coming through! Emergency! Emergency!”

“What is it? explain the condition” Dara said as she rush towards the lying patient.

“Its a 51 year old man. He just sudenly had an heart attack in his office” the nurse explain.

“Okay i understand. Prepare the usual, i’m gonna have to operate him now”

“Deh Dr.Park”

6 hours had passed and Dara have finnaly out from the operation room. She’s glad that she were able to save the patient’s life but also feeling so much exhausted cause its now being her third operation today. Being a head doctor of cardiology department Dara had her up and downs. Now is the time when she get the ‘down’ part. Not because she was failing or anything. Its just that she haven’t had enough rest lately. Being on the hospital since 2 am this morning for emergency case wasn’t very helpfull either. She is now sitting at her office with close eyes and hands on her temple. She’s feeling a bit dizzy and she just realize that she haven’t had any lunch. She decided to grab her very late lunch and call it a day as her shift is already over 30 minutes ago.

“No! No! No! I need to get that sofa now! You have promise me before you gonna bring it for me today afternoon and now look at the time, its already near evening!”

“I don’t care i need it now by the end of this evening. And if i don’t get it you know what you get!”

“Well i am glad we’re on the same page. Bye then!” Minzy yell, ending up the call.

Became a Interior Designer is always being Minzy’s dream. And she is now had fullfilled her dream and became a young talented Designer Interrior. She’s pretty much enjoy herself with her work today until sudenly her source can’t seems to gave her the item she request. She have been aiming for the sofa for a while and when she’s finnaly got her hands on it she felt so happy. But then it just have to be ruined at the last minute. Being young doesn’t stop Minzy at all from going rampage. She just felt so angry and disapointed. Everyone knows Minzy had a short temper.

‘Why is this not going with my way? I just need the sofa to be here on time for God sake. I have to go look for another sofa now just in case they can’t bring it here on time. great just have to ruined my break.’ Minzy then sigh as she thought to herself.

Golden Sky Hotel. There it is the name of the most beautiful building in the City of Seoul. Famous with its glamorous design and satisfying services. Everything about the building just screams perfect as its rising high as the tallest skyscraper in town. The owner of the said building, Lee Chaerin or everyone know as CL is known as a cold-hearted CEO of LeeCooperation. She have been leading the company herself since her father have fallen ill a year ago and inherited the company to his one and only daughter. CL had prooven to be a capable and strong leader even though she herself is a woman. She is known to be fierce and have no mercy in her works. And by no mercy she really mean no mercy. This morning she have to fire one of her worker as he is fail to fullfill his job and making her angry.

“No. I can’t compremise with any of that”

“But sajangnim-”

“I said no didn’t i? Don’t make me repeat myself”

“D-deh sajangnim”

“You may go”

The worker left CL’s office with a sad face. He knows it is his fault to causing such troubles. But couldn’t help but wanting an opurtunity to fix it.

“Why can’t people just do as i say and stop being so damn dificult? This is driving me crazy” CL sighed. She already have lots of work and now her woker just added onemore for her to fix.

This is the busy life’s of the four girls. They each love they’re job very much but as you all can see, there were times that they need to take a break for a second and breath. Minzy as the maknae of the group being so frustated right now decided to call her unnies and asking for a night out. She always feel better when she’s get to hang out with her precious unnies.

“UNNIIIIIEEE”

“Calm down Minzy-ah what’s upsetting you now?” CL close her ears from getting hurt by Minzy’s voice

“Unnie i really hate everything now! my stupid source just couldn’t get me the sofa i need. I’m so frustating”

“Tell me about it. My stupid worker here also decided to take his own decision and made the presentation look bad. I am so ashamed to face my bussines partner now”

“Unnie i need a break! Let’s go to the club. I bet Dara unnie and Bom unnie would be gladly to go either. I just phoned them earlier and they said works had eat themalive as well”

“No thanks. I hate club. It’s too noisy”

“Whats that? I’ll pick you up at 9? Okay unnie i’ll be there on your house by 11, see you then!”

“Wait! Aissh jinja this maknae”

 

As everyone could predict Minzy had succesfuly persuade her other two unnies to go as well. Bom had came by Dara’s house to pick her up but then she stop herself from starting the engine when she look at Dara’s outfit.

“Dara are you sure you gonna wear that?”

“Whats wrong with what i wear?”

“Nothing’s wrong really except for the fact that we’re going to a club and you’re wearing a bubly flowy dress wasn’t really help”

“But i love this dress. Its beautiful with the floral prints. Plus it’s super comfy!”

“Riiiiight. You have to go change now”

“Oh come on Bom”

Bom is now out of the car. She open Dara’s door and drag her back to her house. Bom casually walk towards Dara’s room and into her closet. She spent a minute there searching for an outfit. She pull down a black dress that she had bought for Dara but never been used by her before as she is too shy to wear it. She then took a silver necklace to match it and a black boot with heels on it. Dara knows how stuborn Bom is so she just give up and took it all from Bom and change herself into it

“now that’s better!”

“I’m not sure...”

“What do you mean? I can assure you you look super pretty and y”

“y? I’m not you Bom. Just look at yourself now. i can’t compare to that hourglass body of yours

“Dara you have no idea. You look hot right now. let’s just go now okay? CL and Minzy are waiting”

 

Minzy’s parked her car in front of CL’s house and waiting for her to come out. Because CL and Minzy is living in the same neighbourhood the two decided to go to the club together. Soon enough the gate’s open to reveal CL.

“As expected from my gorgeous unnie. You always pick the right outfit to wear”

“Do i look okay?”

“Okay? Okay wasn’t enough unnie! You’re damn hot!”

“Thanks Minzy. You also look pretty cool yourself. You always have your own style”

“Hehe thanks unnie. Shall we go now?”

“I actually don’t want to g-“

“Okay lets go then”

CL just rolled her eyes. She know she can’t possibly go against her dongsaeng.

 

 

“Dara unnie! Bom unnie!”

“Someone looks happy”

“Lets go unnies, let’s rock this club!”

“Oh no stop Minzy. Try to control yourself. What if Dae oppa sees you now? he’s not gonna like it”

“Relax unnie. I didn’t told him about this. We’re gonna have our own world without being disturb by my noisy oppa!”

“You what? Minzy the last time you got caught by him we have to be scold for two hours”

“I’m not a child anymore. He’s overeacting”

“Oh who gives a damn now. i’m tired and we’re already in here so might as well enjoy the club”

“Yeah! that’s my CL unnie for you!”

“CL you of all people. There must be something bad happened at works huh”

“Don’t even mention it”

“Bom i really think my dress is too revealing”

“Dara for the thousand times. It’s not. It’s just a bit see-through i know, but relax okay?”

 

Back at one of the VIP rooms there are five mans hanging out sitting there casually. They look like they used by the atmosphere of the club. They were in fact a regular customers and one of them even the owner of the club itself. A figure suddenly appear walking through the crowd and walking straight into the VIP area. His face looks tired and drained. Well that fact alone couldn’t stop the female gender from eyeing on him though.

“Tae over here!” Daesung calling on Taeyang.

“Sorry i’m a bit late”

“It’s okay we just got here not long ago”

“Here have some drink hyung” Seungri’s lending a glass of beer.

“I am sure need one right now”

“Must be though being a lawyer eh?” tooking a sip of his beer, Jiyong said and smirk.

“Tell me about it”

“Forget about that. See that woman over there? She’s been eyeing us for while now”

Taeyang turn his head to the direction Daesung’s pointing at. As soon as he catch the said woman his face turn frown. “Nah not my type. Too much revealing, there’snothing left to imagined”

“Definiately look like a ”

“Haha ouch that’s rude Seunghyun”

“She’s coming here”

“Youngdon try and handle her. Even I dont want to be involved with her.”

“What? Why me Ji hyung?”

“You’re the maknae haha”

“For sake”

“Hello boys. Mind if i join you?” the girl said with the most seductive voice she could possibly do. It only came out as anoying for the boys though.

“Uh actually i am just about to go over there. Why don’t you have fun with the hyungs here?”

“You brat, come back here!” Jiyong whisper gritting his teeth

“Haha see ya hyung”

“Actually we all just want to go down and grab a drink”

“Wha-“

Before the girl could say anything Seunghyun stand up and walk passed the girl not even caring to take a glance on her. everyone’s sigh and began to following him from behind.

“Don’t you think that’s a bit rude TOP?”

“We couldn’t even get any peace at the ing VIP” Taeyang could only shook his head at TOP.

The boys continue to enjoy they drinks downstairs while some of them ‘hunting down’ the oposite gender. They were busy enjoying theirself when suddenly they overheard a conversation.

“Damn those girls are hot” a guy said.

“Look at the way they move. It’s ” another guy said while his eyes is fixed into some figures. Not wanting to look at the other way.

“What girls?” Ji asked as he heard them talking.

Seungri’s eyes began to searching through the crowds. “Must be damn hot to cause such comotion”

“Is that Bom? Guess they were talking about her and her friends there”

Taeyang who manage to catch on the girls dancing pointing at their direction. Daesung who was taking a sip of his beer is now blurted out everything in his mouth as soon as he lay his eyes on his sister doing a rather seductive dancing moves.

“What the fu- THAT’S IT!“ Daesung smash his beer can on the table and storm out of his spot, going straight to the dance floor.

“What’s wrong with him?”

“Isn’t that Dae hyung’s girl? The one with the red hair?”

“What’s that Youngdon? Dae got a girl?!”

“Yeah i’ve seen them at the wedding party”

“You’ve got to be kidding me”

‘Damn. That girl got moves. y. Yeah she looks y. No wonder Dae hyung got so angry. she’s practacly became the atention on many man here’ Youngdon thought to himself while examinng Minzy’s move.

‘It’s that CL girl. I don’t know she likes this kind of place. She looks like she enjoy herself. Wait where the is those hands going? Is he going to grab her bu- phew as i thought she is one fierce lady. Of course she wouldn’t let a like that touch her’ Seungri sigh and placing a hand on his chest.

‘The clumsy girl goes to a club? What a joke. I guess not to judge a book by its cover is true after all. Who would have thought that innocent face would love to being surounded by lustfull mens. Tch all girls are the same.’ Seunghyun laugh sarcasticly.

‘Okay that lady is killing me now with that tight dress of hers. Good there wasn’t any blood came out from my nose. Damn such nice legs she got there. Control yourself Jiyong. This is your hormones speaking now.’ Jiyong thought while touching his nose, checking it for blood.

 

“KANG MINZY, GET YOURSELF HERE THIS INSTANT!”

“O-oppa?!” Minzy turn her back and find his brother standing there. Fuming with anger.

“Oppa look i..”

“No need to explain anything young lady. We’re going home!”

“Um Dae oppa, sorry but we were just dancing and trust me, nothing bad has happended. We were keeping an eye for Minzy the whole time” CL steps in at the two siblings.

“Oppa look i’m sorry i didn’t tell you. But i really haven’t done anything but dancing. Please let me spent some more time with unnies okay?”

“Dae oppa, don’t worry. Minzy have been telling the truth and besides now that you are here, that means we can feel a lot more safer right? Since i know you will keep us safe” Dara said, try to ease things.

“You sure? You’re all not defending her aren’t you”

“Oppa my unnies never lie!”

“Fine i let you go this time! But remember i’ll be watching”

“Okay okay i’ll be good oppa. I swear.”

“Oh and stop that y dancing! Every man are looking at you with eyes filled of lust”

“Ewww, okay oppa i’ll stop”

Daesung then left Minzy and the girls. He sit back to his spot before. But his eyes keep watching on Minzy direction like a hawk.

“What was that Dae?”

“Nothing.”

“You haven’t told us you got a girl!”

“What?!” Daesung blurted out his beer once more.

“Youngdon told us”

“I cant believe you haven’t told anyone hyung”

“Er.. well”

‘This is getting complicated. Well i guess i have to just go with it already. I rather lie then to have this guys get an eye on Minzy’

“Um yeah. I’m sorry” ‘feels weird lying about my sister being my girlfriend’

“Well we’re happy for you”

“Congrats man you finnaly found a girl of your own”

“Yeah.. ahhahah. Shall we take our drinks?”

“Can’t believe you’re bump into your dear oppa at the club Kang Minzy”

“Stop it unnie, i already feel so ashame right now. I can’t understand why he can go clubbing whenever he want with his friends and i can’t”

“Well actually it’s his own club so yeah he can go whenever he wants to”

“Then why can’t i go to my beloved brother club?” Minzy emphasize the word beloved.

“Well maybe because he know you’ll bring attention to many wild man here”

“Damn right. Those mans right there is being so ambitious on touching my but! At least now they wouldn’t dare”

“CL’s right. i kinda happy your oppa pop out of nowhere Minzy-ah”

“Arraso arraso”

“Ah this is making me missed my oppa, i wonder what he’s doing now”

“Oh Bom unnie. Relax okay, Dongwook oppa is having the best time of his life right now with Han Byul unnie and its all thanks to you!”

“Yeah you’re right”

“Guys, i’m gonna go and grab a drink there” Dara said as she felt thirsty from the dancing.

“Want me to go with you?”

“Nope, i can go there by myself”

“Okay be carefull Dara”

“Aissh i’m a grown up woman Bom” Dara rolled her eyes and walking to the drinking bar

“Can i have a glass of water?” Dara asks.

“Um.. okay a glass of water it is” the bartender said feeling a little strange with the order, but decided to give Dara the water anyway.

“Thank you” she said to the bartender.

“Ah so refreshing.”

Dara decided to sit and relax in there for a while before joining the girls again. She wasn’t really like the crowded club atmosphere, but she enjoys watching other people dancing and having fun. she stit there in silence examining other people until suddenly her eyes catch a familiar figure. Seunghyun walking there through the dancing crowd as eyes following his steps. Unlike other woman who keep eyeing Seunghyun Dara turn her body back from him. She doesn’t know why she doesn’t feel like meeting him. Unfortunately for her Seunghyun took a seat right next to her’s.

“Oh it’s you. annyeonghaseyo.” Dara said trying to look calm.

“Annyeonghaseyo” Seunghyun answer. Short.

‘This is awkward. Why did i bump into him again at this kind of place. Why did i sudenly feel so nervous? He’s presence is somehow intimidating. I have to hurry up and drink this all up’

“Um i’ll go on ahead then. Nice meeting you again.” Dara said after she drank all of her water in one shot. Seunghyun only nod as Dara got up from her sit and left.

‘pft ordering a glass of water in this kind of place? This girl is weirder than i thought’

“Tae, have you seen Youngdon? I haven-“ Jiyong stops his sentence when he saw that Taeyang is not alone, but talking with Bom.

“Oh Ji. Youngdon just sat back there with Seungri.”

“Uh yeah thanks, i’ll go then”

“Wait aren’t you G-Dragon? My brother told me about you before. I really admiring your job on making my oppa’s and unnie’s outfit. You are such a talented designer.”

Bom said, stoping Jiyong to leave.

‘She know me? Yah of course she know me. I designed for her brother wedding after all’

“Thanks.”

“Well i gotta go, later Tae and GD-shi it’s nice to finnaly meet you”

“Call me Jiyong”

“Oh right later Jiyong-shi.”

Bom give a warm smile and then decided to leave the two. Jiyong’s eyes keep following her figure until she finnaly sit down besides Dara. Taeyang who’s standing beside Jiyong wasn’t failed to noticed all this.

“What was that?”

“What was what?”

“Why using Jiyong instead of the almighty G-Dragon to introsuce yourself?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about”

“Pft riiight you always introduce yourself as G-Dragon towards woman Ji, why make this one different?”

“Oh shut it Tae. I just don’t feel like it okay.”

“Something’s wrong Youngdon?” Seungri asks while eyeing on his dongsaeng. Youngdon eyes is busy looking at his beer can.

“Er nothing hyung. It just feel too hectic now. I want to calm myself”

”There’s something wrong” Seungri said, examining Youngdon’s face.

“You don’t even sure” he continue.

“And you don’t want to talk about it”

“Are you some kind of mind reader hyung?” Youngdon rolled his eyes. But couldn’t help but agree with Seungri. He does feeling something’s wrong when he saw Minzy with his hyung. But he wasn’t exactly sure what it is.

“Haha you’re face just tell me everything”

Seungri and Youngdon stays there for a while in silence before suddenly Seungri stood up from his seat.

“Wait here. I’ve spotted something good”

“Yeah go ahead then hyung. What a ”

“A man got to have his needs my dear dongsaeng. Don’t act like you don’t know it”

“Yah just go!”

Seungri walk toward a girl with a model-like figure. The girl is definiately atracted of Seungri as she’s been staring at him from the whole time, sending him kisses and winks. He approach the girl easily of course. Things were going on smoothly when suddenly CL appear and take a seat near the two ‘couple’. Seungri couldn’t help but being distracted by CL presence, when the girl he flirt with is gone to take a drink Seungri finnaly caught red handed staring at CL.

“Quit staring at me prety boy”

“I was staring at your glass actually. That’s right i was admiring that slender glass. Wait did you just call me pretty?”

“Whatever” CL turn her back away and took a sip from her glass. She notice Seungri’s still looking at her, burning holes on her back.

“Oppa i’m back, do you miss me?” the girl came back with two glass on her hands.

“Uhm oppa?”

“Oppa!”

“What is it again? Sorry” Seungri suddenly snap from his thought.

“Oppa that was rude. You’re not listening to me.” the girl complain, folding her arms and pout.

“Uh yeah well i’m-”

The girl place the glass away and tracing her fingers up from Seungri’s chest till it reach his lips making him stoped talking. She’s smile seductively and bit her lips. “sshhh just shut up and follow me, you have to be punish you naughty boy”

“I... okay” being the gentlemen he is, Seungri decided not to turn the girl down and just play along.

CL smirked at the scene. ‘typical guy’

“Oppa i’ve been good haven’t i? I only dance and hanging out with the unnies. So will you trust me again to come at the club?” Minzy plead.

“No way. You didn’t tell me you’re going here from the first time” Daesung answer back not looking at Minzy.

“Oh come ooon”

Youngdon who is now sitting near Daesung’s couldn’t help but to smile at Minzy’s pleading face. He then decided to talk into it. “come on hyung you know she’s right”

“See! Uhm.. uh..” Minzy stops, turning her head at Youngdon.

“Oh that’s right we haven’t introduce ourselfes yet. I’m Youngdon, your oppa’s friend” Youngdon wink and offering Minzy a hand.

‘This is the one oppa told me to stay away with’

“Minzy.” Minzy took the hand and shake it.

“Anyway hyung, just let her have fun with her friends”

“Stop defending her Youngdon.”

“Uh haha.. okay i’m sorry oppa, i wont do it again. And um... i’ll be with CL unnie then. Later” Minzy then excuse herself, feeling awkward with the situation.

As soon as Minzy left Youngdon speaks, “i don’t know you can be so protective hyung”

“Youngdon tell me what do you see when you spot Minzy doing a y move earlier?”

“Uhm..”

“Right. That’s exactly what i thought”

“Well don’t get me wrong hyung. I wont try to disturb your lady”

“Y-yeah”

‘Why the hell did i feel a bit guilty lying to him?’

“Minzy-ah let’s call it a night” Bom said, yawning.

“Yeah Minzy we should get home now. it’s getting late” Cl agreed as she look at the her watch.

“You right unnie, i’m also getting tired. Lets say goodbye to oppa first.” They all nod their heads and walking towards the boys who surprisingly has been doing nothing but sit and drink the whole night.

“Oppa, we’re going home. Don’t be too late okay. See ya”

“Yeah be careful Minzy and let CL drive” Daesung said, raising from his seat.

“Wait, on second thought let me drive you two girls instead.”

“Oh wait oppa. I’m actually want to going back to the hotel. Since its on the opposite way with our home, i’m just gonna grab a taxi” CL said while taking a glance on her phone.

“You’re going back to Lee’s Hotel? I don’t want you to grab a taxi alone at this hour”

“I’ll drive her” hearing the whole conversation, Seungri suddenly offer.

“If she doesn’t mind” he continue.

“You sure?” Daesung ask.

“I’m sure. It’s just dangerous to let her go by herself plus i’m on the same way as her’s”

“Seungri’s right. You can go with him CL”

“But oppa-”

“Please?”

“Fine.”

“How about you two?” Daesung turn his head towards Bom and Dara.

“It’s fine, i’m gonna drive Dara back home with me”

“But there are no man to keep you safe”

“It’s okay oppa. If you worried that i have to drive alone after i bring Dara home then you don’t have to. Cause i’m staying at Dara’s place”

“At least let my staff you from behind with another car” Daesung said as he gesture his hand, commanding his staff.

“Thank you Dae oppa, you’re the best” Dara gives a thumbs up and then left with Bom.

”Wait oppa, why don’t you just let one of your staffs take me back to the hotel as well? It’ll be best for your friend too since i don’t want to bother him” CL said, trying to be reasonable

“I’m not bothered. i’m the one who’s offering after all” ‘what a persistent woman’

“Look Chae, despite the looks of a jerk i can assure you, you are safe with Seungri. He is in fact my best friend and i can trust you with him. Plus you can also fix whatever bad impression you two got there now”

“Yah hyung what do you mean by a jerk?”

“Chae?” ignoring Seungri’s complain Daesung asked CL instead.

“Arraso oppa. I get it”

“I’m going home first if you don’t mind”

“Chill Dae, be careful on your way home”

“Right. See ya guys later then. And Seungri remember to behave”

“I know already hyung!”

“Let’s go then um.. miss?”

“CL”

“Well i’m guessing you probably know my name by now but anyway i’m Seungri”

CL just stay silent and follow Seungri from behind. They arrived at the parking place and Seungri open the door for CL before enter the car himself.

“I know you don’t like being alone with me. But please do understand that i don’t have any bad intends toward you. I’m just offering a drive home”

“Well Seungri-shi, thank you for giving me the ride back home”

“Look i know we have a bad start, so i understand if you feeling that way towards me. I get it.”

“Good. Then can you please start the engine now? i have a busy schedule tommorow”

Seungri is left speechless, he never thought CL could be so fierce. He sigh before he finnaly decide to talk. He’s not the type to just let things go without any explanation.

“CL-shi?’

“Is there’s a problem Seungri-shi?”

“I just want you to know that i’m not that kind of guy. You know being a playboy and laugh at people.”

“You’re actions certainly proove to be wrong Seungri-shi”

“Well yeah, about that. I’m sorry. At the wedding i was just feeling amuse by your respond towards those girls you know. I overheard them planning on ruined your dress and when i was about to help you it turns out you yourself can handle everything and quite well too if i may say.”

“Things like that tend to happen. I’m used to it so i can pretty much handle it yes”

“And about earlier. I don’t have any explanation. I did flirt with the girl. But just to know i’m not the typical jerk who used her against her will or anything like that”

“Well that’s your bussines Seungri-shi. I don’t have a problem with that, you don’t have to explain all that to me”

“Yeah, you’re probably right”

“So are we fine then? There’s no missunderstanding?”

“You’re sound a lot like a sorry boyfriend right now” CL chuckle. “It’s okay. We’re fine.”

For the first time CL thinks that maybe Seungri is not that bad at all. She wasn’t realize she was giving him a warm smile. She turn herself to the window and enjoy the night view of the city of Seoul. Unaware of Seungri who was left speechles by her. He’s mind could’t let go of CL’s smiling face. His hand decided to snap out of it and reaching out for his keys, turning on the engine. He began to drive away from the club. As the car goes, Seungri couldn’t help but to form a small smile. He just feel somewhat happy. Wether it’s because he finnaly make things right with the woman beside him now. or maybe because of the beautiful smile the lady just gave him.
