Jongin threw his freshly lit cigarette away and took a deep breath before reaching his hand to ring the Kims’ residence doorbell.

The tanned male was forced to keep an eye on his uncle’s child because his mother—for whatever reason—believed that he was getting too spoiled for her liking. She told him he was becoming annoying with all his endless demands. ‘Buy me this, buy me that. I’m not a freaking bank for god’s sake Jongin!’ She angrily said when he politely asked her for a new phone last week; and there was this other time when Jongin wanted something and she scoffed before asking him to grow up and get a job like boys his age do, he rolled his eyes and completely ignored her before asking his father for whatever he wanted to get at the time. Of course his mother got bloody mad when he did that and threatened to kick him out of the house if he doesn’t get himself a proper job any time soon; his father patted his hair apologetically and advised him to just oblige and give his mother a break for once.

So here he was, waiting impatiently outside his uncle Ricky’s house so he could waist an entire night babysitting a devil of a kid named Kim Taeoh.

“Hello, can I help you with something?” Jongin was expecting his father’s half brother to greet him; he was expecting a tall dark handsome man with a satanic child sneakily hiding behind his long legs. What he wasn’t expecting however is for a pretty faced male—that was most likely around his age—to open the door for him with a kid (Jongin has never seen before) nicely adjusted on his side hip.

“Eh…” The boy blinked at Jongin in confusion before politely re-asking the same question again.

“Are you okay? Are you lost or something?” Perhaps. Perhaps Jongin was lost; maybe this wasn’t even his uncle’s house. Maybe he skipped a house or two and knocked on the wrong door. It’s been hella long since he last came to visit. What a great nephew Jongin was.

“Oh, Jongin! Here you are.” Okay, so maybe he didn’t knock on the wrong door after all. Ricky Kim crushed him in a hug as he swung his body from side to side in sheer excitement. His breath hot on Jongin’s hair; a hint of alcohol making the tanned male’s nostrils twitch. “You’re a bit late kiddo but it’s alright, Yixing over here got along very well with Taeoh-ah to everyone’s’ surprise. I mean can you believe it Jongin-ah? He didn’t bite him like he usually does to you, not even for once.” His uncle chuckled and Jongin couldn’t help but roll his eyes at that. Taeoh getting along with someone that wasn’t his parents? Pfft, what a lie. That boy must have drugged him or something.

“Come on in. Everyone are ready to leave, we were just waiting for you to get here. How’s your mother by the way? I’ve heard she’s the one who made you do this. I hope you’re not mad at her or anything, she just wants what’s best for you KamJjong.” Jongin scowled with a short nod; the pale male with the kid on his hip following them silently from behind.

“Uncle Ricky, can I ask you something?” The taller elder nodded with a grin; his hand ushering for his wife and friends to make sure they had everything they could possibly need for their night out. “Who’s that guy? And why did he get along with Taeoh-ah for?”

“Oh, you mean Yixing! He’s Brodie’s babysitter, Zhi Xiang thought it’d be better if we left our sons at the same place. That way they’ll have two people watching over them. As I told you before, Yixing already managed to win over Taeoh’s heart,” Ricky Kim leaned closer before whispering into Jongin’s ear with nothing but amusement lacing his hushed tone. “He even managed to win my wife’s usually cold one.” His uncle burst out laughing and Jongin made a funny face at him.

“And you’re happy because…?”

“Because Zhi Xiang allowed us to call Yixing from time to time so he could babysit Taeoh-ah for us.” Ricky smiled at his frowning wife when she drowsily greeted Jongin with a soft kiss on his cheek. “Be nice to him and make sure Taeoh eats his fruits and sleeps at eight sharp alright?” Jongin nodded distractedly; his almond shaped eyes focused on the young pale male’s bending figure.

The Chinese boy was trying to put the child he was holding on the carpet so he could pick Taeoh up; the latter had his arms widely opened for Yixing to hold him, but the kid on his hip stubbornly refused to let go of his thin white shirt. Jongin groaned under his breath for two reasons.

One: Tonight was going to be hell for him because his uncle was going to sleepover at his friend’s house and Taeoh was old enough to realize that he was going to be free to do whatever he wanted to poor Jongin.

Two: The other babysitter was a ridiculously attractive guy that Jongin was already imagining being spread under him with his eyes half lidded in lust and mouth slightly opened; screaming nothing but Jongin’s name in pure ecstasy.

, Jongin was utterly screwed.

“Okay, so we’re leaving now. Need anything before we go?” Jongin’s uncle stared in anticipation at both younger males. Yixing shook his head no before wishing the two couples a good night and Jongin simply shrugged. “Call me if anything happens alright?”

“Don’t worry uncle Ricky, I’ve got this. Everything will be under control, just make sure to have as much fun as you can get tonight.” Jongin winked teasingly and his uncle’s wife snorted a chuckle. The other couple mumbled something in Chinese to the pale male and he swiftly answered with a respectful deep bow. Jongin was about to roll his eyes when he decided that staring at the guy’s nice was a much better option.

“Okay, have fun with the little ones boys. We’ll be here tomorrow evening at four.” Ricky put his hand on the small of his wife’s back before lightly pushing her towards the door and his friend did exactly the same to his own wife.

“Enjoy your night out.” Yixing shyly murmured; his voice barely above a whisper.

“Have a smashing night out uncle Ricky!” Ricky laughed loudly and gave Jongin a peace sign before closing the door shut behind him.

The sound of the door closing echoed throughout the whole living room and a thick awkward silence followed suit. Jongin shifted on his feet as he absentmindedly contemplated on whether he should introduce himself or just throw a shameful flirt at the other male (with a light slap on the babysitter’s nice ). His thoughts were rudely interrupted when Taeoh mercilessly bit his bare ankle. The tanned male let out a very loud manly screech before sporting the meanest glare on and pointing it towards his little cousin.

“Taeoh why the hell would you do that for? Do you want to be sent to your room?” Before he could yell some more or even punish the kid, Yixing came running with a frown and hid the scared looking child behind his lean legs.

“He was just playing with you. Please don’t yell at him, he’s just a kid.” Playing with me? The Chinese babysitter clearly had no idea that Taeoh and Jongin were never on good terms. Taeoh and Jongin never play or even try to act decently around each other. People usually call Jongin childish and immature when he gets mad at the younger, but those people knew nothing about how much of a brat the little devil truly was. And to Jongin’s misfortune, he only acted that way in his presence. Talk about favoritism.

“I’m Kim Jongin.” Yes, Jongin was pretty aware that the other boy didn’t ask for his name. Yixing looked ready to scold Jongin for yelling at an innocent little child and Jongin wasn’t really in the mood for that. Taeoh was his cousin, they were blood related and no one had the right to come between two family members; that’s why flirting was a much better option at the moment, for both his and Yixing’s sakes.

“I know. We go to the same school.” Yixing averted his gaze from Jongin’s slightly shocked one and smiled angelically at a pouting Taeoh. “Here, can you hold Brodie for a second?” The black haired male didn’t wait for Jongin to agree, he handed him the wide eyed baby and took Taeoh in his own arms with a soft chuckle.

Jongin froze as he gaped at Yixing, because what the hell? They went to the same school together? How? Since when? Jongin could swear he’d n
