15 years earlier in the past

In an open meadow behind two country houses somewhere in Korea, on a fairly lit night. The sky was filled with bright stars. There lie a 7 year old girl Ka Li Lee and 8 years old Choi Seung – Hyun on the grass, side by side looking up at the night sky.

“Ka Li…”

“hmm… Oppa”

“Look!” Choi Seung- Hyun pointed up at the sky.

“uhm…it’s the stars…why? What about it?”

"Do you ever wonder if there is a world bigger than ours where everyone who's born already have a speical person in their heart and know who it is? "

"nado molla...i'm never sure about these things but i do know that your speical to me oppa..."

They both turned their head to look  at each other and each gave a soft smile of reassurances.

“ummmm….jamkkanman-yo, okay! Close your eyes and I’ll be right back.”

Seung-Hyun gets up from the grass and runs towards the bushes trying to catch something and Ka Li lying on the grass wonders what in the world Seung-Hyun was  trying to  do….

Seung-hyun runs back towards Ka Li

“Eh..Eh…Okay get up and open your eyes…Look into my hands…”

“Wow!!! Oppa~ Yeppoyo…it’s a firefly….hhehehe”

“nooo~ it’s a star I caught it for  you…do you like it?”

“uhm! It’s so pretty….”

“Ka Li-ah~  I’m gonna be a star one day so you can see me where ever you go…so whenever you miss me you can just look up at the sky at night…What do you think?”

“No! you can’t be a star!”

“Wayo!...Why can’t I? Don’t you want to see me?”

“I do!!!! But my mom says that only those who have served their time on earth leaves to become a star and I don’t want you to become a star…I want to be able to come back to see you…”

“ohhh~ okay then...hmmm oh... I’ll be a different kind of star…I’ll become famous that way when you open your TV. I’ll be right there before your eyes.”

“Wow!!~ jinjja, okay yagsog! Promise?~”

Present day 2011

Ka Li find herself stepping off a plane in Seoul, Korea with no money, no place to go, and had no friends, but she knew she had to find someone who could help her find her answers….Her first stop was the Flower café~ Where it all began.....
