“Good morning surf lovers! And welcome to this years National Surfing Competition.” The MC greeted through the microphone.

“~~~-ah please look here!” The paparazzi shouted gaining your attention.

You sweetly smiled and took pictures before heading up to the sign-in booth, “Hey Jihye. How’s the waves so far?” You asked your friend working behind the table. “They’re awesome! Oh and your in the final heat with Jaime. Good luck!”

You smiled and grabbed your colored rash guard from her. You slowly made your way to the tent reserved only for the surfers. Inside your friends Kelly and Amber waited.

“Hey when did you two get here?” You asked placing your bag next to Kelly. She shrugged, “Don’t remember.. I was still half asleep when I left my house.” Amber looked at her watch, confused, “Aren’t you suppose to be getting ready for your heat?”

You looked at the time and didn’t notice the last heat just walking up the shoreline. You quickly threw on your rash guard and ran to the shoreline with your surfboard.

The other girls soon lined up next to you and smiled, “Good luck ~~~-ah!”

*BBBEEEEERRRRRRRRWWP!*  The air horn went off signaling the start of the heat.

You quickly jumped in and paddled out to the middle of the ocean where most of the waves appeared. From the shore you could hear both Kelly and Amber cheering and whistling.

“This is our last heat of the day and look’s like we have 5 year returning champ Lee ~~~ out in the front.” The MC announced as everyone cheered loud. He continued, “This last heat the ladies will have 15 minutes to get as many points as possible.”

You stopped and sat on your board just looking at all the different waves that passed by. Rumbling noises came from the parking lot as you turned around to see a group of guys on motorcycles. The first one in the line stopped and took off his helmet as the rest followed. He sat there with a smile on his face and you got a strange feeling that he was looking straight at you.

“Hey move it!” One of the surfers shouted.

You turned around and did a quick duck dive to avoid the wave
