“Kai,” She called, pointing the gun at the figure standing at the edge of the rooftop. “…just come with us. You’ve done enough.”

The figure chuckled. “Out of all people that were chasing me, it’s a girl who had me raising my hands.”

She breathes, “Turn around and give in. Please.”

“What if I don’t want to?”

“I’ll have to perform some protocol.” Soojung aims at Kai’s right leg. In the split second she pulled the trigger, it’s the same time that she felt a sudden presence at her back and the next moment, she had her hands pinned behind her, a hand hold holding both her wrist and another holding a gun to her neck.

She closes her eyes as she breathes heavily. “How about, you give up.”

“So I’m right.”

“About?” she can hear him breathe at the closeness of his mouth to her right ear. “About what?” He asked again when she didn’t answer after a few beats.

“About you being an Invalid.”
