BoA Kwon was known for a lot of things.
All called her the Queen of K-Pop, the first ever Korean pop star to break though and hit number one in Japan (when circumstances and situation would’ve all surely predicted her failure – but then again, she was BoA, and the world’s rules never really applied to her).
Many knew her as a force to be reckoned with. After all, the Queen was no easy title to uphold. She’d been trained since she was eleven to be a dance machine, never to miss a step no matter how complicated the choreography or how tired she was (though she never showed it, wasn’t ever allowed to show it). She’d been fine-tuning her powerhouse voice since she debuted at the young age of thirteen, never to miss a note or skip a beat, no matter how high the octave or how difficult the dance moves. And it definitely helped that she had the world class beauty to top it all off, the perfect idol who never showed a single flaw.
And yet, few knew her as the young girl who lost her childhood, her youth, her life, in exchange for this title of Queen.
And no one knew her as just the girl who simply had a dream, who gave up everything
