Yubin smiled as she looks at Seunghyun. She pulls back her hand and flicks his forehead.

TOP: Ouch! What was that for? I was being serious and all … (He was whining excessively as he rubs his forehead before Yubin starts to rub it softly for him.)

YB: Okay! (Yubin replies shyly.)

 Seunghyun couldn’t believe his ears. He pulled her closer.

TOP: Can you repeat that once more?

YB: Ani… It’s your lost if you didn’t hear.

TOP: Ani… ani I heard you. I just want to hear it again.

Yubin tried to look away. She couldn’t believe that she said ‘Okay’. Her heart betrayed her mind. betrayed her silence. She stood up trying to walk away. Seunghyun stood up and turned her around looking at her with his pleading eyes. Yubin couldn’t believe that his eyes is so kind and tender. She leaned forward and whispered into his ears.

YB: Let’s date. I think we have waited too long haven’t we?

Hearing those words made him pull her into his embrace.

TOP: Let’s try our best. We waited years for this. Gomawo my love!

 Yubin couldn’t help but teared up when she heard him calling her his love. Seunghyun uses his finger to wipe away her tears.

YB: Gomawo… (She said softly and she hangs on to the lapel of his jacket.)

TOP: For what?

YB: For never stop trying to win my heart.

TOP: You knew???? All this while you knew???… I thought you never understood my heart.

YB: Ani… I knew what is in your heart all along. I was hoping you would be more honest much earlier but I also knew and understood the factors that made you not said anything. Gomawo Choi Seunghyun for trying your best. (She said truthfully as she stared into his eyes.)

TOP: I wanted to do this for a very long time.

He pulled her tighter and hug her close. Yubin buried her face in his jacket breaking into small sobs. Everything was so peaceful until a few people greeted them.

GOT7: Anyeonghaseyo Seunghyun sunbaenim and Yubin sunbaenim.

Yubin wanted to pull away and take a step back but Seunghyun never let go of her hand. She blushed in front of her hoobaes.

TOP/YB: Anyeong…

The GOT7 boys just looked at the new couple and smiled cheekily. Jackson finally opened his mouth.

JKS: Noona… ah…. Noona…. Are you….

YB: Anyway your performance just now was jjang…. (She interrupted worrying what questions that playful Jackson is going to ask.)

It was a moment of awkward silence until Yubin finally had the guts to leave with Seunghyun.

YB: I got to go… See you boys at the company…. (She said as she pulls Seunghyun away.)

JR: There goes my Yubin noona… she is attached. (He sighed in defeat.) But to be up against Seunghyun sunbaenim is an honour.

BB: I always thought Wonder Bang is fake.

The two went back to their own respective room.

YN: Unnie where were you?

YB: I went out for some fresh air.

Yubin is not good at lying and she was thankful when the manager said they have to prepare for their stage.

Yubin was busy texting with Seughyun because he is now in Japan with his group.

Yubin smiled as she saw those words. Yubin is not good with showing her affections but she now understood that it felt so good when someone is affectionate with her.

TOP: Later… we just finished our rehearsals…

YB: Can we wait for a couple of months first? Maybe once UPRS2 is over.

TOP: Arraso… I understand… How was your rap coming along?

YB: I’m going to be bolder this time round for YDG oppa’s track.

TOP: Hearing you calling other guys oppa is making my heart weak…What do you mean by adventurous?

One Step at a Time

Yubin was just about to make breakfast when Lim came into the living room and shared the breaking news.

LM: Have you guys heard, netizens found more evidence that Big Bang’s TOP is dating FX’s Krystal.

SM: Aniyo…. Jiyong sunbae said those were just rumours.

LM: But the evidences looks convincing.

Yubin didn’t feel too good but she continued making breakfast. Yeeun who was helping out was observing her unnie.

YB: Neh…

Yubin hates feeling like this. She knew she should trust Seunghyun but trusting someone is hard to do. She was on her bed writing her raps but nothing comes out well. She is getting very frustrated.

The following week hasn’t been good either. She made it to semi-finals but did not win Unpretty Rapstar too. Her schedule is packed with photoshoots. Feeling low self-esteemed, her replies to Seunghyun have been short and too short one might say.

That weekend, she had the whole house to herself. Sunmi and Yeeun were in Jeju and Lim is back in Hong Kong. She was thankful for the peace. Her mind has been clouded by a lot of things. It was dark and raining. With the scented candle burning, she sat by the window looking at the Han River. She saw the support netizens has on the rumoured Senghyun-Krystal couple. She cried reading the comments. She hasn’t been picking up Seunghyun’s call and barely replied his messages.

Seunghyun on the other hand was super worried. He knew something was up. He had a feeling Yubin was upset with the rumours. But when he texted her to ask her about it, she appeared nonchalant. Seunghyun was very distracted in the studio. Jiyong who has been observing him stopped recording and sat facing the troubled hyung.

GD: Hyung, Wei gurei? You messed up a couple of times today.

TOP: Sorry G, my head is in a mess.

GD: Whats wrong?

TOP: Have you ever felt so hopeless when you can’t anticipate or understand what is going on in someone’s head?

GD: Woman?

TOP: Neh…

GD: Talk… communication is key… How long have you known her?

TOP: About 9 years…

GD: Hyung!!!

TOP: What?

GD: Are you and Yubin noona already together.

TOP: Didn’t I tell you already?  

GD: Hyung!!!!!! How could you not tell me? I always rooted for you and her.

2 Hours Later

Sohee stood outside WGs apartment. She stared at the 2 man…or boys in front of her.

SH: I can’t believe I am doing this.

TOP: Mandoo treat it as a huge favour.

SH: No… I can’t believe unnie didn’t tell me that you guys are dating? (She huffed with those cute cheeks of her.)

Jiyong couldn’t help but smiled at the girl in front of him.

TOP: Just enter the house code. I am sure you know.

SH: Ara... but lets just press the bell. It’s rude to just enter the apartment without her knowledge.

TOP: But you are a WG Sohee, technically it is your house too…

SH: Yar… oppa!

In the mid of the bickering, the door swung open. Yubin was shocked to see the three of them in front of the apartment.

SH: Unnie, it is not my fault, they made me bring them here. (Sohee admitted to Yubin. She entered the house and placed her shoes in the shoe cabinet.)

The two man followed suit. Yubin took a few steps back trying to digest what is happening. Seunghyun came and give her a kiss on her forehead before giving her a tight hug.

SH: Unnie, I can’t believe you kept it a secret.

YB: Mianhe Mandoo ah… I wanted to pick a better timing to tell you that.

GD: Anyeong Noona…

YB: Neh Jiyong… nice to see you. Have a seat first, I need to talk to Seunghyun for a while.

GD: Neh …arasso.

YB: Mandoo, can you help me serve him a drink. Thank you darling.

Awkward Silence

As Yubin closes her bedroom there. Sohee and Jiyong looked at each other awkwardly. Silence engulfed the room.

SH: Do you want juice, coffee or tea?

GD: You know me. (He smiled at her assuming she remembered what he likes to drink)

Sohee went to the kitchen and made green tea. A hot green tea would be perfect for this weather. She placed the mug on the table and took the remote and switched on the television. She was about to stand up and head to Hyerim’s room but Jiyong tried to start a conversation.

GD: Mandoo, don’t be shy! Come let’s catch up. We didn’t get to talk much at the broadcast station the other day.

Sohee felt obliged and sat on the single seat sofa.

SH: What is it that you want to know Oppa?

GD: I don’t know…. Maybe update me who you dated? Work? Your family?

SH: My family is doing fine… I’m going to be in Canada for a couple of weeks for filming.  (She replied simply as she flips a magazine on the table.)

GD: Was it Heechul?

Sohee looked up and stare him down.

SH: Oppa, my love life is not interesting…. Nothing much too share.

GD: You have not answered my question!

SH: So oppa, are you still with Kiko? Or were the break up just rumours.

Jiyong was taken aback by her questions. He knew that Sohee knew about his affair that went public with Kiko started before he and Sohee officially break up. But he wondered how that little girl actually feels.

GD: Mandoo…

SH: Neh… (She replied consciously knowing that the tone of his voice reeked of guilt.)

GD: Mianhe….

SH: For?

GD: All the things that I have done to you.

Sohee looked out the window and avoided any eye contact. She cleared and smiled as she turned to him.

SH: Gwencana oppa, everything is already in the past. No point talking about it.

GD: Deh… (Jiyong replied sullenly. He wasn’t sure if he likes her responds. She seems happy to be moving on.)

Yubin’s Room

As the couple stepped in the room, Seunghyun closed the door gently and ordered Yubin to sit on the bed. She sat down and looked down on the bedsheet. Seughyun took off his jacket and placed it on the chair before sitting just next to her. As he observes her sad demeanour and pout, he quickly embraced her in his arms.

TOP: Mianhe, I shouldn’t have let those rumours hurt you.

With the embraced, Yubin broke down in tears. She sobs softly and he rubs her back calming her down. This woman is fragile. He always thought that she is so tough that no rumours can break her down. He forgot that the strong woman in front of him is still a woman. She needs assurance and care.

TOP: Mianhe chagiya…. I am sorry if my actions made you doubt us.

Yubin continued crying and he continued hugging him tightly.

Sohee and Jiyong could hear Yubin soft sobs. Sohee turned to look at the direction of Yubin’s room.

GD: Let them be. They need time.

SH: Neh…

GD: You remembered the dubboki stall we used to go near the beach?

SH: The one with the good seafood pancake?

GD: Neh... It closed down.

SH: Jincha…. I guess the grandmother is old already. She needs to rest and enjoy her remaining years.

GD: True…

Sohee just picked another magazine and started turning the pages. She has never felt this awkward with Jiyong. She missed their laughter and jokes. Sadly that part of them… or at least, that part of her will never return.

GD: Bogoshipo… I missed you mandoo.

Sohee paused and let out a small chuckle.

SH: Oppa, stop joking! You still behave like a kid. (Said the girl who tried to laugh it off.)

Yubin’s Room

YB: Mianhe love… I just was apprehensive of everything. I wasn’t sure if getting together was the best thing for us. I was afraid of so many things. I was afraid you will find me needy if I expressed my jealousy. I was afraid you would leave me because someone else is better for you. I was afraid…

Seunghyun pulled her closer.

TOP: Ani chagiya…. Don’t be afraid. I am here. You are mine. Your heart, your soul, your body ….everything is mine. Lean on me love… Don’t pretend you are okay when you are not. I am here for a reason. (He assured her as he laid a kiss on her forehead.)

YB: Lets go out, those two must be worried about us.

Sohee and Jiyong quickly looked up when she saw Seunghyun and Yubin came out from the room.

YB: What are the both of you doing????? (Yubin shrieked!)

SH/GD: It’s not me… It’s her/him. (Both tried to deny)
