Tao is the smart science geek who hasn't even talked to at least half the people in his class, and always volunteers to work alone in partnered work. Kris is the guy who constantly shows up to class late with yet another story about how awesome last night was, but still always manages to get good grades.  One weird teacher pairs them together. But it takes a lot of nagging about a dumb project to stay together.
