 NICKNAMES
` ( Luna ) Dalsun was named after the moon deity in the sun and moon mythology of South Korea. Her mother thought of this nickname and thought it was cute to call her that when she was young. She still calls her that today all throughout life.
` ( Sundial ) Dalsun really doesn't know how this nickname even made itself into existence. Lu Han was the one to create it because Dalsun could be flipped to Sundal which is close to sundial. There's not really a similarity between the device and Dalsun, but he figured they both have to do extensively with science, so why not?
` ( Sunny ) Haesik and their parents came up with the cute nickname even though she was named after the moon deity in the S. Korean legend of the sun and moon's creations. It's still used by them and anybody else who's close to her now.

 FACE CLAIM Yoo Hyeon jin

BACK-UP FACE CLAIM Ryu Hye ju

 HEIGHT & WEIGHT 155 cm, 46 kg

STYLE Dalsun tends to dress in a comfortable style. If she's only staying in her apartment for the day, she opts for sweatpants and a t-shirt with her hair in a ponytail draped to one side or high up in the air. If she's going out for leisure activities, she wears skinny jeans, a shirt, and jacket or sweater ( depending on the weather ). For work, she just wears nice clothing like a blouse and skirt, pants, or cute shorts for the bookstore and wears scrubs for the local hospital. Sometimes she even dresses with a hint of a tomboyish style to her clothing. She does have a thing for earrings though and buys all kinds of cute ( and cheap ) ones to match whatever mood she's in. She has pearl and diamond ones for when she feels fancy and then cute smiley face ones for when she feels happy. It usually changes by the day, but sometimes she doesn't wear any at all.

PAST STYLE The way Dalsun's style has changed over the years is just when her mother stopped dressing her up in cute dresses every day with a bow in her hair. This lasted from her very earlier years through to her elementary school days. After that, she was able to start dressing herself in a more comfortable way, which has lasted all the way through the rest of her life.

EXTRA Dalsun has normal ear piercings, obtaining them when she was just a baby about a year old, and has scars on her knees from a fall in the streets when she was 11. She's never needed glasses until grade 4, but since then, she's had to wear glasses ( or contacts later on in her high school and university years ) because her vision keeps deteriorating each year until it finally stabilizes her last year of university. She has no tattoos, but she wants a watercolor tattoo ( like the picture ), which sadly, she'll probably never get because she just sees no beneficial need for it - just that it looks pretty.

TRAITS quiet, humorous, kind, caring, detached, logical, oblivious, gullible

PERSONALITY Ever since she was a child, Dalsun had always been a quiet individual. She's not exactly as shy as she used to be but she just never knew what to say to new people she's met and doesn't really have much to say during the first meeting anyways. She simply says what's needed and that's it. However, after she gets to know someone and becomes more comfortable with the persons she's with, she noticeably becomes a bit more outspoken and fun. She'll say or ask the most random of things when it pops into her head or even cracks the weirdest of jokes or puns, and it usually causes those around her to laugh at how bizarre the moment just was. She's unknowingly funny when she doesn't mean to be, and even her older brother doesn't know where her weird humor comes from. Besides this, she's also a caring and kind individual, always watching out for others even if she doesn't know them. Her mother always told her she was truly kind-hearted and it hasn't changed over the years.

However, one thing that has changed is that she started distancing herself personally over the years without actually losing a touch of care or kindness. She became noticeably detached with her own personal feelings ( more noticeable after her break-up with Hyunchul ) and even more oblivious about other's feelings towards her. She knows all the basic emotions of happiness, anger, and sadness, but if asked anything more than that, she wouldn't completely understand the emotion even if her life depended on it. She feels like there should be a textbook manual about how one should feel in certain situations, but alas, there is none at all. Because of this, it becomes apparent that her way of thinking has changed over the years as well. She's become more logical in everything she says or does, needing facts or lots of convincing to get her to do something that is out of her comfort zone.

Despite all the logic in her head, Dalsun has also been seen to be quite gullible a little less than half the time, depending on the circumstances at hand. If she was given the right amount of facts with the right amount of confidence, she'd be able to believe most things someone would tell her. It's very odd considering she likes to think in a logical way and it'll probably be her downfall in the future ( "She probably can't even get another boyfriend unless she's going to constantly carry a mirror around with her. She's read facts that humans pupils dilate when they see someone they like, but that could be nonsense, and sadly, I'm probably going to be the one with the hot wife tending to my dear non-related child with five puppies. Since you know. She doesn't like cats." - Lu Han ). She can't even tell when someone is being blatantly sarcastic towards her and she always instinctively doubts whatever the person is saying ( or just becomes plain offended ). Given all of this, it really shouldn't be too hard to decode Ko Dalsun.

BACKGROUND & PAST SELF With Ko Dalsun expected to be born some time during the last week of January or the first week of February, everybody in Jung Haewon's family expected the mother-to-be to be taking maternity leave at least two weeks prior to the due date. However, being such an odd and hardworking woman as she, Haewon didn't feel the need to leave until she started having false, very panicking ( to her husband, Ko Jaesun ) episodes of her water breaking. And it wasn't until two days later, on the night of February 3, 1991, that she went into labor and Ko Dalsun was born right after noon the next day. She was born as the youngest of two ( with the other being her older brother Ko Haesik ) and if anybody asked them, they were a pretty odd family themselves not being particularly super close but not exactly being distant towards each other. Their family is of middle class status, although with her father working two different jobs to try and match his wife's income, they still had a little bit more money to spend on whatever they liked during holidays or birthdays. Though, if there was one thing Dalsun could change while growing up, it'd be that they were actually a lot closer like other families instead of whatever kind of relationship they had to each other while she grew up.

Dalsun was more of a quiet child in her early years. She was quite shy and never liked stepping out of her comfort zone unless she had her older brother or any of her closest friends with her. To be honest, she can't really remember much of her past self, just that she was quiet, shy, and always clung to her parents or older brother ( being childish in that respect ). That, and sometimes some teachers mistook her name for a boy's name simply because Dalsun was such an unusual name. She was a slightly above average student in school, getting A's and B's, and was actually quite into sports during her young life ( more like she just liked track and field, tennis, and physical education classes and games ). Although, she could've definitely made straight A's if she focused more into studying than playing around at home or watching television when she wasn't supposed to ( and it wasn't hard getting away with it either, since her parents were usually out and her babysitter back then didn't really care as long as she finished her physical homework on time ).

However, during her early years is when she felt like she started suffering "the curse" firsthand ( even if she didn't know what it was called until after her middle school years ). Of course like most children, she made friends with some of the kids in her class. It was the natural thing to do if all of them were going to be suffering for 8 hours every day for five days a week in the same place. But for some reason, the two closest friends she's managed to befriend in elementary would move every few years because of their parents' jobs ( the first one in grade 3 and the second in grade 6 ). By the time she reached the end of her middle school years, she became accustomed to her friends leaving her at some point in their lives that she simply became nonchalant about it, deciding not to get extremely close personally to any new friends so the separation wouldn't hurt as bad afterwards. But right before high school, she was surprised to see one of her closest friends back in Dongyeongju, stating that her parents promised they wouldn't move again until she finished high school there so that her education was consistent. Dalsun was excited, to say the least, but something about that triggered something within her.

By the time she arrived to high school, she was determined to be a bit more outgoing, not curl up in a corner whenever somebody else she didn't know try and came to talk to her. What she was surprised to find though was that a bunch of her older brother's friends easily came to be her friends too. They immediately sought her out after they found out Haesik's baby sister was finally joining the big kids' club and they helped her acclimate to life in high school, even becoming some of the best friends she would ever have in her lifetime. However, one of her brother's friends was closest to her than the others and before she knew it, they started dating ( with some protests from her brother ) after she returned his awkwardly cute confession. Dalsun thought life couldn't be any better. Her old friend stayed with her throughout half of their years together and she had a loveable boyfriend even her parents couldn't get mad at. And surprisingly, she started becoming a lot closer to her older brother too, nobody in her family ever expected.

Dalsun was still the quiet kid throughout high school, but she was only quiet because she never had much to say. Her shy demeanor started to waver and fall, and she was happy about that. She was still the A and B student and she was still in a moderate relationship with her parents, but she managed to get closer to her older brother and she wouldn't want to change that in the world. Even after her and Hyunchul broke up when he graduated high school to move to Seoul, she was still able to tell herself the whole relationship was worth it and loved the experience she had with him.

AFTER GRADUATION Dalsun flew through high school enjoying every single minute of it despite some of the harder classes and exams and before she knew it, graduation had come and gone. Throughout life in Dongyeongju, she would admit she never really had plans of moving out so soon after high school, probably because her own brother never moved out either, saying it was cheaper to stay at home and go to the local university than trying to move and re-settle himself in a new place ( even though he easily could've stayed with Hyunchul in Seoul, but that might just be a tad bit awkward given the past ). Out of Dalsun and her friends, she was the one who stayed behind. She easily got accepted into the local university and decided to stay there, hoping that it'd just be a great stepping stone and transition life until she finally moved to wherever she felt comfortable enough and knew someone there.

She still lives with her family of four in their same house all throughout university. Her studying habits stayed the same, still maintaining A's and B's with the occasional C in her harder classes, and she continued to make a couple friends in the same classes they shared. She took up a focus in Biology with a minor focus in Chemistry ( since idk if they have biochemistry there ), hoping to get all the credits needed for pre-medicine and succeed in it. In the middle of her second year of university, she managed to get a job in the local hospital as a nurse's aide in the pediatrics unit where her mother works at ( where her mother works in the emergency room ). Admittedly, she got the job with help from her mother's position in the hospital, but she's proven to be a great worker regardless of her mother's position.

However, throughout her university years, she still wasn't completely sure if she wanted to continue on to medical school or not. She just chose those majors because her family is only involved in the medical field and she had little-to-none knowledge of other businesses. After she finishes her second year of university, her brother finally decided to move out and try his chances in Seoul, living with Hyunchul there. Dalsun truly wants to move out after that, thinking it's time to experience something else after living the same type of life for years without drastic change, and after graduating university and completing her degree ( while still being unsure of her future ), she moves to another part of Jeju Island ( Seogwipo ) in her own little apartment where she maintains her job as a nurse's aide in the local hospital there but in the emergency room instead. She also works part-time in a bookstore hoping to help pay more of her bills off, but her parents still send her money to help with her finances until she finds a more stable job and finally decide if she wants to pursue medical school or not.

 TRIVIA
` ( From legend ) Dalsun's mother loves mythology and the story about how the sun and moon came into existence, so when she gave birth to Dalsun's older brother, she named him Haesik after the name of the boy who became the sun and hoped she would have a daughter next. When she found out she was going to give birth to a baby girl two years later, she immediately decided her name is Dalsun, after the younger sister of the sun who became the moon.
` ( Darkness ) Despite being named after a name of the moon, Dalsun isn't very too fond of complete darkness. She always needs some type of light to guide her way and show her what could possibly be lurking in the dark, even needing a nightlight when she sleeps at night.
` ( Fruits and chocolate, except oranges ) These two foods are possibly her favorite, only beaten if they're combined together. She believes a decent amount of chocolate is good for the body, and since when were fruits ever considered bad? except oranges, she doesn't like them because they're messy to eat
` ( Neck ties ) She has a thing against bowties because they just look completely silly, so she prefers neck ties on guys 98% of the time. It just looks more classy that way.
` ( Say no to chick flicks ) She doesn't like chick flicks because none of those stories happen in real life... right? Not including her little high school romance?
` ( Habits ) Pouting unconsciously at the most random of things from disappointment to boredom, closing her eyes when she genuinely laughs, becomes cold when she's full from eating
` ( Irrational fears: Octopi and squids ) She just heavily dislikes tentacles. Those are creepy on those creatures.
` ( Puppies v. Kitten ) She prefers dogs over cats, but she basically likes any other domestic animal as well.
` ( BMI ) Dalsun knows she's slightly underweight for her height, but she can't seem to break the barrier into normal weight numbers no matter how hard she tries. She can eat whatever she wants, but she doesn't gain weight. She doesn't even really work out either.
` ( Mostly straight? ) She simply believes that if a person is attractive, that person is attractive. But she is heteroual.
` ( Skinship ) She isn't very accustomed to skinship with people she's not extremely close to. She'll tend to shrink in on herself when it's unwanted and usually the only people she's okay with is her family members, Hyunchul ( when they were dating, of course ) and Lu Han ( seeing as how he throws a fit when he's her best friend and godmother/father? and everything else for her ).
` ( Homecooked meals ) She didn't really cook much when she still lived at home with her family. Her brother was the one who cooked a majority of the meals when they were home but their parents were not. When she moves out though, she's able to cook simple meals and others that she can find simple recipes for.
` ( Anxiety to Insomnia ) It didn't start happening until her last year of university, but she discovered the more anxious she became about something and overthought it, the worse her sleeping pattern became. It even got to the point of insomnia for a couple days when she had a little breakdown about what to do after university, and that episode is the reason why Yixing makes sure she tries and gets a little sleep when times got tough then.

 FAMILY

` ( Mother // Jung Haewon // 1958 // ER nurse // hardworking, reliable, humorous )

Haewon and Dalsun have a typical mother-daughter relationship. When Dalsun was still a young child, Haewon would go out and buy cute dresses and bows for her little princess, dressing her up like how she wanted since Dalsun couldn't exactly reject the choices her mother made for her. As Dalsun grew, she got tired of the dresses she would constantly be wearing and always opted to wear jeans or shorts, maybe even the occasional skirt, because her mother would always fuss and say "These new dresses are cute, Luna! You should wear them" so she figured skirts would help lessen the drastic change for them both. Dalsun can't remember ever being particularly close to her mother since she was always working to support their family, but by the time high school came around and her brother's friend regularly came over to hang out, her mother would try to get close to her and the others. She would constantly ask questions that would result in weird responses after she received an answer and would unintentionally be funny with her "Five Minutes of Philosophical Moments" where she would randomly recite some quote or saying she saw the other day or go through her normal talks of "A patient came in overdosing on some synthetic drug. You shouldn't do that, kids." Eventually, their relationship didn't get much closer than before, but Haewon has tried to make it clear that Dalsun can go to her for anything. She knows though that Dalsun is much closer to Haesik, so she trusts that Haesik will come to her if something drastic happens with Dalsun.
` ( Father // Ko Jaesun // 1958 // Nursing home nurse, does woodwork as a side job // awkward, patient, thoughtful )
If Dalsun didn't feel particularly close to her mother, it's simply the same with her father. Her father is just a naturally awkward man, not talking much and awkwardly trying to get to know his kids more every day. He's typically quiet and does his own thing but when he opens his mouth, he's actually shown to be quite thoughtful and be just as funny as his wife. He has the weirdest jokes that Dalsun thinks she's inherited and she thinks that's how their relationship works in trying to get closer to each other. She doesn't explicitly tell him much like her mother, but he's patient and observant with his children and somehow is able to make mental notes in his head about which of his kids like something more than the other or not. He's been a nursing home nurse almost the same length of time as his wife has been a nurse in the hospital but as his kids grew, he started taking up the hobby of woodwork during his time off and has started to successfully sell his creations since Dalsun started high school. He doesn't have a personal shop though, just works from home and in the yard, and his patrons are usually family friends or neighbors.

` ( Older brother // Ko Haesik // 28 June 1989 // Freelance graphic design artist ( for advertising, etc. ) // protective, considerate, outgoing )
Since they could remember, Haesik and Dalsun don't ever really remember being particularly close as kids. He was the older brother who took it as his sworn duty to protect his princess baby sister ever since he could first comprehend the new addition to the family and has been the typical older brother since then. He would be either protective of Dalsun as kids or always mess with her because a baby brother would be awesome, but they would randomly show they cared about each other when he relunctantly gave up the last piece of dessert for her and smiled when she was happy. As they grew up, Dalsun had slowly started becoming more and more attached to her older brother because he was fun and always meeting new people. And she never knew he was attached to her as well, always watching out for his sister and making fun of her when necessary so as not to show his true feelings for his family members ( whatever that means ). However, when she started dating his friend, he went a bit haywire at first, thinking it was just weird his little sister was dating his friend, but he allowed it to happen seeing how happy the two were together. He would always just groan or loudly chant something and cover his ears whenever his friend would ask him a ( personal ) question about Dalsun. Besides this, their relationship only got better when he stayed home to attend the local university and she completed her high school career. They became close and could tell each other most things ( and he might be the reason why she makes quicker friends with guys than girls, who knows ) and even remained close after they both move to their current locations. ( He has also started dating someone as well starting from 2013-onwards. Her name is Yoo Bohwa ( actual ulzzang's name ). )

  PAST ACQUAINTANCES

` ( Babysitter // Sandara Park // November 12, 1984 // easygoing, caring, dorky )
Sandara was hired by Dalsun's mother when Dalsun's parents figured out that they were going to be busy 65% of the time and wouldn't be home to take care of both her and her brother. She was the quirky babysitter most kids dreamed of. She always played with Dalsun whenever she wanted and tried to help Haesik out with his homework from time to time. However, as the kids grew older, they all started having troubles trying to keep their relationships to each other. Sandara would still come over to watch them to make sure they didn't get in any trouble and got home from school safely, but they would each end up doing their own thing, with Dalsun confiding some school troubles ( like getting bad grades on quizzes or tests or her friends leaving ) every now and then. It wasn't until Dalsun finished middle school and gone into her first year of high school that Sandara and Dalsun's parents thought it was time for her to leave. Sandara helped the entire Ko family for years, but they all felt like it was time to move on. Sometimes, Haewon would leave messages hoping Sandara is doing fine in Seoul, but other than that, they've all mostly lost contact with her.
` ( Close friend // Lee Chaerin ( CL ) // February 26, 1991 // outgoing, honest, fun )
Chaerin has been close friends with Dalsun ever since they were in the primary years. They were always seated next to each other because of their last names and had always done everything together since then. Chaerin was the more outgoing one while Dalsun was the more reserved one, and that difference in personalities is what made them mesh well together. However, when Chaerin's family received news that her father had a job transfer to somewhere out of the country ( Paris, maybe? ) and had to leave during the summer before grade 6. Despite the absence of the other, they tried to keep in contact the first few months they separated but it slowly dwindled down to nothing as the years went on. When Chaerin suddenly moved back with her family before high school, they both acted like nothing had changed between them. They were still pretty close but there was a tangible difference in their relationship with each other. They still hung out during high school but when graduation came around, they said their sad ( not exactly tearful ) goodbyes and told each other they would try to keep in touch anyways. So every now and then, Chaerin would send a text asking how Dalsun is doing while Dalsun felt like it wasn't worth it if they weren't going to see each other in person again any time soon. ( Dalsun will still respond back though. Chaerin doesn't stop until way later on, maybe after university graduation and random small talk of plans after university. )
` ( Boyfriend // Na Hyunchul // January 23, 1990 // kind, funny, selfless )
Dalsun first heard of Hyunchul through her older brother Haesik but hadn't official met the man until she started her first year of high school. If anybody asked her brother, he'd have said that his little sister's romance in high school was a cliché whirlwind experience. Hyunchul was the one who helped Dalsun acclimate more to high school than her older brother and he was the one who selflessly helped her in school work and join extracurricular activities. None of them knew when it happened, but Hyunchul figured between hanging out with Dalsun in school and then hanging out at her house with Haesik, he fell for her kind, quiet ( and oddly humourous ) self. He didn't know if she liked him back in any way and asking her brother was useless because he just went off on him when he asked ( and then apologized because who can get mad at Hyunchul? ), but he wanted to confess at least a full year before he had to graduate and figure out what happened after high school. His confession was probably the most awkward yet cutest confession anyone had probably heard of that year: "I really really like you as more than a friend like how a boyfriend really really likes his girlfriend. Which if you. I really really like you, Dalsun." In response, Dalsun really didn't know how to respond. She just knew she was really happy so she told him she liked him too. And throughout the last year and a half for Hyunchul, they acted like a sweet couple, able to stand on opposite sides of the room doing their own things but always coming back together just to lean against the other or hold each other's hands.

However, when graduation started sneaking up on them, Hyunchul had to bring up what could happen after graduation. And after days and weeks of talking to each other, they both thought that it'd be best to separate right before he moved to Seoul. So they stayed together, hanging out whenever they could and texting whenever they weren't physically together, and by the time summer came after he graduated, they tearfully broke up ( with Haesik being the balling third wheeler because his sister will never care for him as much as his best friend ). Since then, they've somewhat kept in touch, especially when Haesik moved up to live with him in 2012. Whenever Dalsun tried to get in contact with her brother or went out to visit him when he was off, she would see or hear Hyunchul around if he answered the phone or was there while she was there. They're somewhat awkward with each other, but they're able to fall back into comfortable small talk.

  CURRENT ACQUAINTANCES

` ( Best friend // Lu Han // 20 April 1990 // unpredictable, loyal, impulsive )
Lu Han and Dalsun met when she moved out of Dongyeongju and started working in the other hospital in the next city over. He works as a nurse practitioner in the emergency room where Dalsun works as well in Seogwipo. They met by tending to the same patient and have randomly been inseparable as best friends since then. Even as they both look quiet initially, Lu Han is the one to quickly break that barrier whenever he's around Dalsun. He's the eccentric half of Dalsun and that's why they feel like they balance each other out. He's also the one trying to get Dalsun out of her comfort zone and party with him whenever they can ( or just hang out at each other's places to get "fresh air," even if it's not all that fresh because come on, they should go outside for fresh air ), and he's the one trying to help her figure out her feelings for Yixing ( who he actually knows from back in China, he finds out about him when he sees his name pop up on Dalsun's phone during break at work ) and for that tall kid who's apparently a good singer as well ( Sungjoo ). He's like the helpful little godmother to Dalsun, he so helpfully called himself one day when there was a hospital party once. ( Usually for hospital gatherings and emergency room parties at hotels, they would be each other's dates if Lu Han isn't dating somebody by then... or even if he is. He really wants Dalsun to branch out somehow. )
` ( Strange close friends // Kim Junmyeon ( Suho ) // 22 May 1991 // caring, non-judgmental, embarrassing ( haha ) )
Junmyeon and Dalsun met in their first year of high school after Junmyeon's father got a job transfer to Jeju Island to work there for however long was needed. Their relationship is considered "strange" simply because they were always in the same classes and sat on the other side of her ( where Chaerin occupied the other seat to her right ) but never talked more than what was needed for class or generic questions like "how are you today? that homework last night." They never even really became close until their last year of high school and after they graduated. They managed to exchange numbers their last year and Dalsun always liked the fact Junmyeon never explicitly judged another person. She could always text him the weirdest questions and Junmyeon would never bat an eye at the oddity of it. Even during university and after graduation when Junmyeon moved back to Apgujeong, they were the two from high school to randomly keep in touch with each other. They would simply send a text if a big event happened ( like a break up for Junmyeon or a failed test for Dalsun ) and talk for a few minutes before it died off again. But it was like there is never a break between them and texts. ( He graduated with a focus in economics and business, has a job as a new manager at The Galleria in Apgujeong on the fourth floor of the east side where they sell golf wear, chinaware, bedding, furniture, is a beauty shop and service center ( his father has connections in Apgujeong and Junmyeon actually proved to be a great worker ). )

 LOVE INTEREST Kim Sungjoo

 BACK-UP LOVE INTEREST Kim Jongin

PERSONALITY Sungjoo is the typical boy-next-door type of man. At first glance, he has a serious and mature charm that has others believing he is actually much older than his true age. He's initially quiet and observant, usually liking to take in his surroundings first before jumping head-in to whatever situation is going on. But after he gets through his little mental process, he's actually quite dorky and childish. He'll playfully joke around with his friends and always tries to get in front of any pictures with them. He'll play videogames and randomly sing to his heart's content ( because he knows his voice is amazing). Despite all this though and being one of the oldest in his group of friends, he's been friendly referred to as the 'big pillar' for his broad shoulders and for his friends to lean on when times are tough. He's responsible and dependable when he's needed and always available for others to talk to even if it's 3:30 in the morning ( "I'm failing, Joo!" "Get your head in the game, idiot! I want to sleep!" ). His words may not be very comforting so early in the morning, but he will actually get up and go over to his friend's place to actually help them out ( and maybe fall asleep on the some flat surface in the process ).

Being a bit contradicting, Sungjoo can also be extremely determined to the point of being idiotically stubborn and also having zero discretion in things he does. If he says he's going to do something, he won't stop until he gets it done or fulfills whatever promise he promised no matter how long it takes. His focus won't direct itself towards that goal or anything like that, but it'll constantly be presenting itself in the back of his mind, waiting for him to carry out whatever actions or sayings are needed to complete it. Keeping this in mind, the man is completely obvious with what he's doing. If he likes a girl, he'll constantly stare at her while talking to her or being near her and it'll usually take patting his arm or shaking the man to get him out of his weird trance if he actually stops talking to the other person he's with. He also doesn't like lying, per se. He's okay with buttering the truth immensely if that'll save the other person from becoming angry or sad, but he'll be as honest as he can with what he says.

BACKGROUND & PAST SELF Kim Sungjoo was born in Incheon, South Korea on February 16, 1994. He was born as the only child into a middle class family with a caring and supportive mother Kang Sungkyu and father Kim Joowon who each worked as an owner of a small café and businessman, respectively. Throughout his early years, he was a rambunctious little child who surprisingly did well in school, however getting more B's than A's but still enough to pass smoothly through each class. He stayed in Incheon throughout his young middle school and high school career, and as he grew older, his parents noticed he was becoming quieter as the years went on ( he explained he simply just got tired of being so rowdy all the time ). With that odd explanation though, his parents were glad. Sungjoo started to study more diligently even though he did slip back into his old rowdy days every now and then. But other than this, nothing else significantly happened during that time. He did a few sports in middle and high school with learning taekwondo ( and wushu ) and swimming and also learned how to play instruments such as guitar and the piano, and he eventually graduated in the top quartile of his grade.

AFTER GRADUATION After high school graduation in 2012, Sungjoo moved to Seogwipo in Jeju Island to live with his aunt Kang Jisung and currently attends university there, majoring in Theater Arts. He thought it was a suitable change from Incheon since he felt like he wasn't ready to move to a bigger place like Seoul yet and actually  enjoys the Jeju Island environment. It doesn't seem stressful or excessively hectic, and he truly does love the atmosphere of the area surrounding him. He thought it was wonderful experience to move out of his parents' home. His aunt is a middle-class worker, more towards the lower half, as a high school teacher but still able to live in a comfortable apartment, having Sungjoo obtain a part-time job at the local bookstore to help with living expenses.

RELATIONSHIP Even if Sungjoo and Dalsun ended up attending the same university for one year ( her last year and his first year ), they didn't end up meeting until Dalsun started working at the bookstore part-time after Sungjoo completed his first year of university in 2013. To say they were awkward when they first met is pretty accurate. They're both quiet initially, not really knowing how to start a conversation with someone brand new to them, but being the surprising older one, Dalsun was the one who initiated the conversation between them with an awkward "So... How do I scan these books?" And as expected, the unexpected question caused Sungjoo to let out a surprised burst of laughter before they both warmed up to each other, using their basis as co-workers to try and get closer to each other so it was never awkward when they would work together.

Eventually by the second shift together, they finally figured out that they both went to the same university even though Dalsun was now a graduate then. They talked about the good and bad teachers despite the differences in majors and which foods were good on campus and which weren't. They slowly became better friends each day they worked together ( especially since Dalsun always asked him a random question right when she steps into the store to work ) and Sungjoo always thought it was his responsibility to walk Dalsun home if they both stayed until closing time of the bookstore. He would usually be able to make Dalsun laugh and always listened to her when she ended up talking a lot more than they were both used to.

Somehow, he became the guy to fill in the space that was Yixing who was with her all throughout university. Sungjoo is able to make her laugh at the most random of times, especially with his major in Theater Arts and busting out a random scene of Romeo and Juliet or some musical ( because wow, can the guy sing or what ) and is able to cheer her up whenever she starts to feel down about her loss of friends. But being typical Dalsun, she doesn't know the difference between the feelings of friendship or love. Sungjoo feels like he starts to fall for her, but he's not sure himself if what he's feeling is friendship love or relationship love. They're both naiive in that department and it isn't until Dalsun's friend brings up the topic of "you know. that really tall younger guy who walks you home when i swear i'm not stalking you to make sure you're always safe." To say Dalsun is confused about that is absolutely correct, because she becomes confused as to what Sungjoo is to her and she doesn't want to get into another relationship in case one of them ends up moving again after a few years. Luckily for them though, Sungjoo simply wants to try going on actual dates with Dalsun, just wanting to see how it ends up. It takes a lot of convincing for Dalsun, but she eventually agrees with the help of her friend. ( how i want the relationship to end is explained at the end of yixing's relationship section )

 LOVE INTEREST Zhang Yixing

 BACK-UP LOVE INTEREST Zhou Yixuan

PERSONALITY Growing up, Yixing had always been a filial child, always caring, polite, and devoted to his parents and grandparents, essentially those who raised him. He treasured them above all and always thought one's child should always be respectful towards his or her parents since they nurtured him since he was young and actually gave him life. He's continued to carry this mindset throughout his whole life, being the ideal child for any parent, and has even shown his gratitude and caring, devoted side towards the friends he's made while growing up. He treasures those who have stayed by him ( or even left him ) through life and always says it's because of them he is who he is today. Besides this though, he's also had his fair share of "Really? What is my child?" moments. It may be obvious during first meetings, but others find out soon enough that Yixing has his heads up in the clouds or too focused on something to actually take in what's happening around him. He's a natural-born dreamer, very imaginative and creative with many aspects of life that he actually has taken up a multitude of hobbies that go along with this part of him. He's able to instantly create and re-create melodies on his guitar or on the piano by ear and can even create tunes based on feelings if he's asked. He also loves drawing and doodling, drawing things that entertain him since it helps anchor his thoughts down to the real world.

Along with this, Yixing is also a hardworking individual that even his positive devoted trait can turn into something negative. He'll devote himself to something and work hard towards it even if it meant losing sleep and continually working on it until he passes out from exhaustion. He'll also even forget to eat ( and constantly snack instead ) because he's too focused on doing something to remember to do that. But he's just naturally forgetful anyways as well. His parents don't know where he got his forgetfulness from but it might also be related to how creative he is, having fleeting ideas and only keeping the good ones in his head and eventually forgetting other things around him. ( Apparently, meeting Dalsun was one of those good memories because he never forgets the cute, funny Korean girl he met when he was younger, and he tries to work hard to see her again in the future. )

BACKGROUND & PAST SELF Zhang Yixing was born to a very loving and supportive parents in Changsha, China on October 7, 1991. His father is a musician while his mother works at a food mart in China. They're not exactly rich, but they would probably classify as being in the upper middle class of society back in China. Yixing has always been the same as he is now, except he was a bit more carefree while he was younger. He never really thought twice about most things and always eagerly accepted anything his teachers, parents, or classmates offered to him whether it were snacks or even homework. As he grew up, he began to learn the differences between beneficial gifts or malicious ones and he easily learned what was right or wrong for himself or his family. He's always been filial and caring towards his family, he would always choose them above anyone else, as they would for Yixing. They're a very close-knit family. However with school, even if Yixing eagerly accepted homework assignments, it didn't mean he was a very good student. He struggled to get B's and his parents always thought it was because his head was usually in the clouds in home and in school, dreaming of bigger and better things or always playing musical instruments that he always forgot to stay grounded as well.

But growing up also meant moving on. Eventually, Yixing figured out he needed to do well in middle school to be able to continue on to high school and then wherever life took him. He became hardworking in areas he was made fun of in school ( mainly math ) and came to excel in those subjects by the end of the year. He still had his moments where he would drift off into the clouds and still forgot the most random of things, but he grew up to be a polite and well-mannered boy as well as charming and humorous. High school ended up being the same way and before they knew it, he graduated with a mixture of B's and one A ( which ended up being math ).

AFTER GRADUATION Yixing ended up getting into a few universities the year before he graduated, some in his hometown Changsha and some in South Korea. However, he ended up happily choosing the local university in Jeju Island. His parents never understood why the man was so happy, but they wanted him to explore the world like his father had done with his profession as a musician. They wanted him to find something he loved, so they let him move there, helping him out with his apartment while he got a job on campus working a desk job in the science department of the university. He took up a focus in Biology, hoping for Pre-Medicine and to get into medical school once he graduated university. His apartment isn't large by any means, just one bedroom, one bathroom, and a small kitchenette and living room, but it was enough for him to live in comfortably.

RELATIONSHIP For his completion after grade 6, his father had received an offer to perform for several resorts, hotels, and small clubs in Jeju Island, South Korea during the summer season. Of course, his father took the offer since it meant he could bring his wife and son too. It was then during one of those trips that Yixing and his mother went out to see the summer festival happening in Dongyeongju, where his father was going to play as a special guest, and they ran into Dalsun and her own family enjoying their time out together. Dalsun's brother Haesik was the one who accidentally bumped into Yixing but they both immediately apologized, Yixing in his broken Korean and Haesik with confusion why the boy's accent was so thick. Yixing's mother was the one who ended up trying to explain they were simply visiting and Dalsun's mother was the one being curious about who they were and everything. And being born in the same year, Yixing and Dalsun tried to become quick friends with Haesik trying to help facilitate however he could ( which was almost nonexistent ). In the end, Yixing and Dalsun ended up playing a funny game of charades and became friends that night.

Of course, that friendship dwindled down when Yixing and his family returned back to China four days later. But that didn't stop Yixing from thinking about the funny girl from the summer festival. By the time enrolling into university came around, Yixing found himself happily accepted into the local university at Dongyeongju in Jeju Island and readily accepted the offer to attend there. He loved the environment of Jeju Island and he just found it to be a bonus when he walked into his introductory biology lecture to see an older version of Ko Dalsun sitting in the middle of the classroom, waiting for the professor to start teaching. He was truly startled to suddenly see her so grown up, but he quickly regained himself and hurriedly took the seat next to her, scaring her at the sudden movements next to her. Dalsun was surprised to see the same dimple on a slimmer face, but she was happy at seeing an old friend in her hometown. They ended up not having to do charades to talk to each other and always chose each other to be lab partners or sat next to the other during classes.

Those who saw them around campus simply assumed they were dating from the way they acted with each other. They would always be stuck to the hip and helping the other study, Dalsun helping Yixing keep his head in the game and Yixing making sure Dalsun wouldn't die from lack of sleep. Yixing would even come over to her house to hang out and help her parents out with meals since he actually knew how to cook and she didn't. But the funny thing is, they never explicitly talked about their feelings for the other. Dalsun had no idea what she actually felt for the man but Yixing adored her. He thought she was charming in her own way and cute with her petite stature, but he never knew how to bring up how he felt about her. He felt like he knew more about her than she knew herself. He knew she needed logic to be able to breathe correctly but he thought he didn't know enough to propose the idea about dating to her.

When graduation came around, Yixing was just surprised he graduated. Dalsun congratulated him more than she cheered for herself when her name was called and it just caused him to laugh because she was just so adorable jumping up and down screaming his name along with his parents. However, it wasn't until after they received their diplomas that Dalsun told him her plan of possibly moving into the next town over, just to get away from her parents. Yixing was confused with the sudden news but completely understood, knowing she needed to experience being truly by herself. He wanted to join her but he really wanted to try out going for medical school, seeing that is his dream job. They ended up separating, Yixing moving to Jeju City in Jeju Island to attend to the medical school there and Dalsun to Seogwipo, Jeju Island. Every now and then, Yixing would come visit Dalsun when he had a break and Dalsun would call to see how medical school was treating her friend. ( it can be up to you who she ends up with? surprise me! :) )

YOUR NICKNAME: Ree ( or Javalyn! )

COMMENTS: otl. i hope this isn't too long. i had all of this in my head for weeks but took forever to actually get it all written down and hopefully make all of it make sense .__. anyways. i tried to choose back-ups that were around the same age and actually act the same as my main love interests, so if you have trouble envisioning sungjoo, he's basically just another jongin ;u; uh uh, and thank you for giving me an extension! if you need faceclaims for her parents or names for sungjoo's/yixing's parents, let me know? i just included the names which were more vital to each person's life and yeah ( also, hyunchul was supposed to be lee jinki but then i saw hyunchul's face and fell in love, otl ). haesik and hyunchul's names are hyperlinked as well :)

` ( if dalsun ends up with yixing, he can probably convince her to move with him wherever he gets a job after medical school. time to spread her wings and fly, you know? plus, she'll probably be extremely comfortable with yixing still. if anything percentage-wise, it's a 75/25% chance they'll stay in south korea, either jeju city or seoul where her brother is as well. )
` ( if dalsun ends up with sungjoo, they'll probably stay in seogwipo and she can probably go back to school to be a physician's assistant or something, so she can earn more salary-wise than a nurse's aide ( this could be for with sungjoo or with yixing ). )
` ( otl, if she ends up with neither, she'll either go stick with her brother in seoul or in seogwipo with luhan, haha )

 SCENE REQUESTS:
` ( Just cute or funny moments of Dalsun and her brother Haesik. )
` ( Lu Han stalking Dalsun while at work, in between seeing his patients, and trying to figure out why his friend looks so weird. Apparently, she just had a small little, goofy smile on her face because either Sungjoo or Yixing texted her something idiotic like they got their foot stuck in a pot or something. )
` ( Awkward random text or phone conversations between Dalsun and Junmyeon. )
` ( uh, surprise me? you have free reign, mostly. :D )
` ( Lu Han visiting Dalsun at the bookstore when he's off or about to go to work or something and sees her talking with Sungjoo who's very obvious about his feelings for her. Lu Han continually wiggles his eyebrows as he meets Sungjoo and checks him out... and consequently 89% freaks out Sungjoo immensely. )
` ( i think most of my things are just bff moments with lu han trying to help speed things along or accidentally ruin things for dalsun ;; )
` ( Dalsun visiting her brother and seeing Hyunchul again and it's all awkward because it's after her brother starts dating and his girlfriend decided to come over and hang out too just to meet his loveable baby sister. )
` ( is it alright if i may add more later? i probably won't though, but yeah ;u; same with trivia? )
