hello there. my name is do min. there’s really not much to say about me? i think i’m a pretty chill, laidback person. i think i get along well with other people, but i don’t know. i find it strange that i pretty much know everybody in this little shop. it’s cozy and han actually did a pretty good job with it—same to you, jaesun. um, is there anything else? oh, if you’re curious, yes, i’m actually half-chinese. i’ve heard i looked more chinese than korean, but i don’t even know. anyways, yes, hi. it’s a pleasure to meet you!

PERSONALITY · at first meeting, min is a woman of very few words. she doesn’t say much, usually a simple ‘hey, what’s up’ will suffice for her, and she prefers to let others approach her instead. she prefers to let other people initiate conversations with her, trying to start some sort of relationship whether it’s to become acquaintances or more first, but she’s realized that sometimes, her way of thinking can be offputting to some. she appears aloof and detached because of this and, with baekhyun’s help, has been trying to put in more effort with meeting new people. though, she does prefer to let baekhyun do all the work, only because it takes so much effort to meet someone only to find out they’re more than she can handle energy-wise.
but really, min is quite the passive, easygoing person once someone befriends her. she’s the type to believe that things happen for a reason and that ‘it must be fate, right?’ she’s never been one to be forceful in any situation, preferring to do things at her own pace, and it’s put her in sticky situations before, especially in the terms of Life. although, with her reluctance to be aggressive in any situation, it’s allowed her to become more tolerant of everything around her. she’s the type to listen, give her opinion if the situation calls for it, and simply nod and smile. sometimes, she resorts to saying ‘i don’t care’ or ‘i don’t mind’ though because she truly doesn’t mind (or... care) half the time. sure, she has her own opinions, but she has the capability to see all the pros and cons with everything around her. it leads her into being incredibly indecisive, a trait that her friends have always complained about her, but she swears she’s trying to fix it by deciding what she wants to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, etc. they’re small steps, but ones her friends approve for her every time she makes one.
honestly though, min is quite the loyal friend anyone could ask for. she’ll stick by her friends’ side despite any situation and she’ll make sure that they’re getting the best there ever was. she thinks her loyalty is the reason why she has such great friends, but she also thinks it’s because she always dotes on those closest to her. she always goes the little extra meter or mile to make sure her friends get what they want and she tends to call them cute endearments like ‘love’ and ‘dear.’ though, because of this, it’s made her a bit oblvious when it comes to anything else more than ‘friendly nature.’ she’s been told by her friends that guys have fallen in love with her before, but she’s never really seen the depth of it other than ‘oh, hey, i kinda like you, let’s hang out a little more.’ it’s left her with a bad reputation when it comes to dating, but really, she can’t tell the difference between friendly affection and that ‘true love’ nonsense. (it probably doesn’t help at all that baekhyun’s always been there for her, but who knows?)
BACKGROUND · min was actually born in china on 4 february 1991, making her an original chinese native and citizen, but she moved to south korea when she was about three years old and became a korean citizen a couple years later for school purposes (which has definitely put a strain on her parents and their differences, but she doesn’t like to get into that). she’s attended school in seoul all her life, having it be ingrained into her that Academics is Life, and somehow, through late nights studying with little sleep and more than a couple mental breakdowns, she managed to make it to korea university where most of her true friendships started. but considering where she is now, university wasn’t as hard as everyone made it out to be. she passed everything and graduated, with a science degree under her belt, but she had no idea what she wanted to be after the university life. she’s considered medical school, pharmacy school, hell, even becoming a professor, but she ended up not liking any of the fields she participated in by volunteering and other methods. it’s honestly a surprise she’s still going for something in the health field though.
FUTURE PLANS · min has lived in seoul for the majority of her life. she doesn’t really know much about her chinese background, but as she grows older, she really wants to learn more about it. her father outwardly tries to talk her out of it, but she can tell he’s silently approving it because, hey, his wife is chinese and he loves her and her culure. it’s just the governments that make it difficult for them. other than that, min is finally trying to pursue physical therapy. she thinks it’s a great way for her to stay in shape while helping other people get back up into the state they were in before whatever injury their body has sustained.

· father · do, jeongmin ; 3 march 1958 + 59 · quiet, awkward, hardworking, unintentionally funny · jeongmin and min have an awkward relationship since he’s always working, but he would always try to form a bond between him and his daughter, ever since he and his wife has had a difficult relationship. he would try and ask her normal questions like ‘how was school?’ and ‘how are you?’ but then it’d get awkward because he doesn’t know what else to ask her. they eventually find their little rhythm though when min goes to him asking questions about school and life and things like that. sometimes the conversations end up being unexpectedly funny, and min doesn’t mind. · 7/10

· bestest of friends · byun, baekhyun ; 6 may 1992 + 25 · intuitive, friendly, “all kinds of wonderful” · honestly, min should really thank baekhyun’s aunt more times than she can count. because of her and her restaurant, she met baekhyun there during the summer when her and her high school friends did a district tour of all the restaurants they could get to within two months. fast forward to now, and they’re the best of friends. they always find the time to text and send pictures to each other and they always find time to meet up and simply hang out. though, they do have times when they haven’t seen each other in a while due to the fact of Life, but even then, when they meet up, it’s like no time has passed at all. and it works, simply because baekhyun is more outgoing, able to talk to people well, and it’s like he helps complete her missing pieces in a way. it can be a little ridiculous though because baekhyun refuses to get his license because his “precious noona” is always available to drive him around anywhere. · 9/10

HOW DID YOU FIND US? · to be honest, soojung is the one who officially brought min to see “this awesome cool place, according to lu” after saying she wants some ice cream and a place to just sit and relax. it wasn’t anything big but min liked how chill (literally) everything was and how cool the people of the store were. (it also didn’t help the fact that she immediately recognized han and minseok and wondered why the hell the two of them were talking like they’ve been friends their entire lives-- weren’t they rival soccer players in university?)
