appearance. short dark brown hair, with bangs covering his forehead. he wears big glasses that cover his light brown eyes. his eyesight isn't perfect, but he's heard a few times that people get distracted by his uniquely colored eyes, since they are lighter than most eyes. when operating, he can see perfectly fine, since only things from two arms length away are blurry. he is tall at 187cm and a healthy weight of 67kg, mostly of muscle mass. he makes sure that he's physically fit so that he can always rush to an emergency when he's called. 
fashion sense. whether alone or under his doctor's coat, he wears the same kind of clothes. he likes to dress casual-formal with a collared shirt, sometimes under a sweater for slightly colder temperatures. although jeans aren't usually comfortable for running, collin has no problem with it. really, he doesn't own any other kind of pants other than sweatpants for his pajamas or shorts for working out. for warmer weathers, he wears a tank top under another collared shirt. he still prefers to hide his eyes, so he likes wearing sunglasses in the summer time, as it is helpful to protect them from the sun as well.

personality. When you first see him, you may think he's just a really good-looking and charismatic man. from afar, you can see him working hard and doing his job well. he seems like someone right out of a medical drama, especially with his looks and skills. it's true that he is good at what he does, and he is very serious about it, but he has a different side as a person outside of the hospital.once you get to know him, he's actually very dorky and strange. 

his personality is certainly not one you would expect when talking to a man with such skill and looks. because collin gives his full concentration and focus on work, as soon as he goes out to have a break, any stress holding him up just goes away and he relaxes like no ones business. he'd talk to himself about the weather, or how he's doing. he'd comment out loud on little things like a squirrel successfully finding food, or a puppy he would see being walked on the street. he's very open and carefree, and many interns and nurses would not recognize him out on the streets because he seems like a completely different person from the hospital. collin is very honest, he can not tell a lie, he doesn't even try to. he can say the truth in a polite way, but can't make it sound like a lie.

back in the hospital, he becomes serious and focused. he keeps his mind free of distracting thoughts, and puts 110% effort into everything he does. he's is pretty strict, especially if you do something that really pushes his buttons. however, he is very understanding, since he has made some mistakes as an intern as well. he will get mad and lecture the ones who made a mistake, but then will calm down and tell them to not make the mistake again, and to always keep any incident in the back of their minds so they will not forget. 
he is very Observant, he will notice any little thing wrong in reports or the way someone acts and can tell if they are lying. the one thing he hates most, is people who lie. collin believes that in the hospital, there is no place for liars, otherwise, people will just be more hurt.

background. collin's parents are average workers, his father as a reporter, and his mother as a businesswoman so he grew up well-raised in their care, enough to move by himself to america to advance in his dream of becoming a doctor. collin's grandmother, who he was very close to, used to be a doctor, and he was always fascinated by her stories of saving different kinds of people that he wanted to do that too. she passed away shortly after he moved, but he wanted to make her proud, so he worked very hard to get through all the tough times. 

in school, he never asked for the popularity, but it just happened. collin always minded his own business and didn't try to stand out, but he guessed that his good looks were a curse more than a blessing. he had a couple of 'admirors' that seemed to be intent on getting to know him. often he would receive quite the surprising letter, causing him to be a bit paranoid of his surroundings for the next few days. as soon as he calmed down, another letter would appear. he took a year break from school to stay with a friend who he met previous years ago, and was able to escape the very personal letters. collin was wary on continuing his education at first, but he thought to himself, he's already gotten this far, who is this random person to stop him? collecting his courage, he pushed on through school, ignoring every person trying to come in contact with him, unless put in a group with them, as it's required to build teamwork. 

collin was ecstatic when he finally finished the studying and was able to start his internship. he knew it was not all fun and games, but it hit him especially hard during THE FIRST TIME HE LOST A PATIENT. HE WAS READY TO QUIT. HE THOUGHT HE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HOLD A SCALPEL EVER AGAIN. HE ISOLATED himSELF FROM COWORKERS AND TOOK A BREAK TO GET AWAY FROM THE HOSPITAL. AS HE TOOK THE TIME TO THINK OVER, HE REALIZED THAT THEY DIDN'T SPEND THE PAST 4 YEARS GOING THROUGH THE HARDSHIPS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL and creepy letters for him TO just QUIT over one death. he knew that there would just be more. though it wouldn't be the best thing he's told himself, it was true. HE WENT BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND TALKED TO THE CHIEF, ASKING THEM FOR POSITIONS MOST FAR FROM operating on PATIENTS, AND WORKING his WAY UP. WHEN GIVEN THE CHANCE TO HOLD A SCALPEL AGAIN, HE FINALLY GOT OVER His FEAR, AND His CONFIDENCE SOARED. NOTHING IN His MIND EXCEPT 'YES, THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO. SHOULD THERE BE ANY MISTAKES, I WILL GLADLY ADMIT IT' HE HAD LOST A COUPLE OF PATIENTS FROM THAT POINT ON, BUT HE NEVER GAVE UP. HE KNEW THAT HE himself TRIED his BEST. he kept up this attitude and mindset and became a resident.

likes.
- Caffeine. it is his life line, whether it be coffee, lattes, tea, any kind will do. all the coffee shops around the hospital and his house know him by name (and face)
- nature. his favourite place to relax and getaway.
- people who respect his privacy. he notices people are interested in him, and he appreciates it when they don't approach him without thinking first.
- piano music. he doesn't listen to music often, but finds comfort in piano pieces such as yiruma.
- animals. He absolutely loves animals, and donates to animal shelters. he once took in an old stray cat once during his college years, but the timing was ironic as it passed away right before he started his residency.

- liars. he does not appreciate lies and liars. he will know, and put guilt on you until you admit it.
- constant stares. he knows that people look at him, whether they're staring for his looks or directing someone to him for advice, but he'd rather people confront him than just looking at him from afar.

- ALcohol. he hates the smell, hates the taste, and the effect they have on people. he tends to be more rough on people he suspects were drinking the night before. he always tries to avoid it at all costs, but if forced to drink by a higher-up, he doesn't get drunk easily.

friends. best friend // alex chang // 28 // doctor // childish, cheerful, and naive // alex is actually collin's senior. his baby face has fooled many, including collin. when he first saw alex leading the interns to their first department, he was so shocked that his eyes were wide open, staring at alex the whole time. alex noticed, but didn't say anything until they were alone to . that interaction brought them really close together, and collin often looked to alex for advice. alex moved to another hospital, but they're still very close.

when they meet. when collin first meets them, he notices their personality first, and he gets intrigued that they match his ideal type so well. he ignores the attraction at first, but when they start getting closer, it makes it hard for him. he keeps staying in denial, so they are actually the one to confess to collin first.

suggestions/comments. love love love this concept ^^ um, can i add my comments here too? i hope you like him, i wrote his background on things i've learned from emergency couple and doctor stranger, hopefully its okay. i feel like some parts of his personality and background are word vomit so please let me know, it was pretty late. i look forward to your review!
scene requests. just one that i would love to see; out of the hospital, someone asks collin for a recommendation at a coffee shop, and he lists the pros and cons of each and every drink, while the person looks completely lost at all the information they've never heard of.
