APPEARANCE ) standing at 169cm and 50kg, minkyung has bangs and long chocolate brown hair which fall just below her bust. fair-skinned, she has a birthmark behind her right shoulder and two piercings, one on each ear. minkyung is myopic and wears glasses, but would usually put on contacts lenses when she leaves the dorm.

STYLE ) minkyung is considered pretty chic, and looks for clothes with a mix of comfort and style, often a cross between korean and american fashion. she would buy clothes from brands such as coii and cherrykoko in a heartbeat. bcause of her birthmark, minkyung doesn't wear sleeveless clothings, or would at least look for those with right sleeves. minkyung has a soft spot for hoodies, and has a whole collection of them.

at a glance / minkyung comes across as a rather reserved individual. it's difficult for her to approach others first, and she doesn't readily open up about herself first. however, start the ball rolling and you'd realise that minkyung is actually really friendly and easy to talk to. her maturity level differs depending on who she's with, and minkyung can get along with majority of people. she's very calm, even during stressful situations. infact, she'd be the one going around calming her members or managers down, especially before a schedule.

in reality / get to know minkyung better and you'd realise that she isn't all that serene or mature. minkyung's known to be very candid, basically no filter aorund people she's comfortable with, and she often shoots off without thinking twice. she's never been able to sugarcoat her words, but people value it as they know she'd always talk the truth. once she's warmed up to you, minkyung wouldn't be afraid to show her real self. she'd be that person you can see slouching on the couch with her legs open or blatantly chewing gum and blowing bubbles with it. when she's tired, especially, it's like something is triggered in minkyung to make her extra clumsy, tell ultra-lame-so-done-with-you jokes, or even cause her the inability to string her words into a proper sentences.

minkyung seems to live in a bubble of optimism. she's always able to see something good in everything, no matter how small. in a crisis, minkyung would always be the one bringing out the positive side, even if it's bullsh*t. there's an innocent charisma surrounding minkyung, and that allows her to have people wrapped around her fingers without trying. this grooms her into a natural leader, as she can get people to listen to her without her seeming bossy. perhaps this was where her 'princess' nickname came from, as it's easy for minkyung to get people to help her with things. however, this caused her to grow reliant on the people around her. because she's always got people to lean on, minykung became proudhearted and it's difficult for her to do things or be seen alone, especially eating. when alone, she'd either do a takeaway, or skip meals altogether. she can always be pretty self-centred, there are times at her worst when you can do something for her but she won't do the same thing for you, just because she doesn't feel like it. ask her to get something for you and she will, but not before she gets one for herself.

minkyung is an escapist, she's one to run away from her problems instead of facing them head on. she'd rather avoid the problem and find ways around it, until she really has to face it. thing is, minkyung doesn't share her problems readily with people, and she'd tell you only if you probe her about it. her pride prevents her from seeking help from other people, and she'd choose to keep her problems to herself. she's very stubborn, and a tough nut to crack. she likes to believe that she's always right, and it's difficult for minkyung to apologise first. she doesn't even say you're welcome if you thank her for helping you if she doesn't really want to help you.

minkyung is very impulsive, and she often doesn't think before she acts. that's why she often shoots off, or buys things on impulse, only to regret later. more often than not, her actions and words create trouble for herself and/or other people, and she'd feel guilty for the next few days. yet, it's difficult for people to blame her because 1. charisma/aura 2. minkyung isn't good with guilt-tripping and she'd feel very bad which makes people not want to blame her. quick-witted and sharp, minkyung catches on to things easily, and she can easily manipulate a situation by changing the topic etc.

all in all / even though minkyung may sometimes seem like a pampered, spoilt brat, she's very much appreciative of the people and things she has. she just doesn't know how to show it and express herself, which is why she seems aloof, often with her heads in the clouds. she wouldn't really be labeled a because she doesn't exactly torment people - she just isn't very down-to-earth. minkyung is actually kind-hearted, and she'd want the best for her loved ones, and is the type to go out of the way to help her friends.

PAST ) minkyung was born into an upper-middle class family. there were no major conflicts within her family other than the occasional disagreements, and they're pretty close knit. with her father as a football manager, their family income isn't little but isn't a lot either. her parents can be strict at times but focus a lot on family bonding, and they have a lot of family outings together.

 year before minkyung was born, her father became her football manager, and decided to move the family to seoul so that he could better manage his teams without having to travel excessively daily. therefore, minkyung was born in seoul, unlike her siblings who were born in incheon, where her family had lived previously, and grew up there.

growing up as the youngest daughter with two older brothers to spoil her, minkyung was never a goody-two-shoes or the best daughter. she played truant and stayed out past curfew, but never did anything very illegal. at 18, she was scouted by a talent agency and has been doing modelling works ever since.

PRESENT ) following her high school education, minkyung is now a communications student in seoul national university. she cohabits with her boyfriend in a three room apartment instead of living with her parents. her brothers have also moved out. her family initially didn't approve of her moving in with her boyfriend, but warmed up to the idea as her brother knew him relatively well.

minkyung does part-time work as a model, so she watches what she eats and runs twice a week, and visits the gym twice a week. she goes to school whenever there are lessons, and time outside lessons are usually reserved for working on her school projects or modelling work. she goes on dates, shopping or hairtyling/facials/manicures in whatever other time she has. she usually meets her family for dinner weekly on sundays.

OVERVIEW ) someone you would call a 'social butterfly', kibum is easy-going and makes friends easily. humourous, he's often the moodmaker and an indispensible friend. he's the type to laugh with you and lift the atmosphere with his open-ness. bubbly and a huge jokester, hardly anyone gets bored around him. quickwitted as well, kibum is a rather natural leader with a motherly instinct. he knows how to change a heavy atmosphere to a lighter one, often by quickly changing the subject. kibum often does things with the interests of others at heart, so he's one to take extra good care of his peers. he has a tendency to nag at his close friends, but know him well enough and you'd find that it's just really his way of showing concern. contrary to popular belief, kibum is wise, and always sounds mature and reliable when giving advice to his peers, since he doesn't talk about what he thinks is true, but rather, what he knows is true.

yet, kibum isn't a boy to be trifled with. he's extremely honest with his thoughts, and can often be sarcastic and insensitive when putting them forward. he's a headstrong boy who almost always knows exactly what he wants, and if you leave a bad impression on him, it's likely to remain bad forever. kibum's a smoothtalker - he always seems to know the right things to say at the right time, and it's almost impossible to stay angry at hime for long. no one really knows what he's up to, unless they know him inside out and can read him like a book. while he has his annoyingly narcississtic moments, kibum is generally humble, and is a rather elaborate person who pays attention even to minor details. he's a filial son and can get protective over his loved ones, and a good friend who will lend you a listening ear - only if he's comfortable enough with you. if he isn't, while he would still try to help, it'd often come off as insincere, and you'd have a hard time getting him to care.

kim kibum was born on 23 september, 1991 in daegu, south korea to a finance manager and a nursee as the only child. his family's financial status is pretty good, and his family background is considered elite. at 14, his dad was transferred to seoul for work, and his whole family moved over, hence seoul is where he currently resides. kibum studied design in korea national university of arts and is now a fashion editor.

FIRST MEETING ) minho's best friend since middle school, minkyung has seen kibum around since middle school but had never shown him an interest. the two went to the same high school and were both in the photography club and student council as an after school activity, where they started hanging around each other more. in different classes in high school, minho & kibum were also drifting apart, while kibum and minkyung were getting closer. kibum asked minkyung to date him on the last day of his college entrance exams, when kibum was 19 and hanyoung 16, and they've been together ever since.

RELATIONSHIP ) kibum and minkyung's relationship was pretty cute; they had a tom and jerry relationship while conspicuously showing their care and affection for each other. they were comfortable with each other and could always do stupid things together. they had natural skinship like feeding each other and also often randomly gifted each other small items and were a typical campus couple, minus the public display of affections - they never went that far. when they first got together, minho objected to their relationship, because it's just weird to have your best friend dating your sister. however, when he saw how happy they were together, he relented and just warned kibum to never hurt his sister.

now, after dating for 4 years, there's been many on-off moments and arguments in between. their acts of love have quietened down a lot, and while they still enjoy each other's company, it's like they've run out of things to talk about. they still deeply care for each other, but there seems to no longer be that spark between them, espeically since their increasingly busy schedules don't permit as many meetings as before. while hanyoung has started to question whether it would end soon, kibum is someone who has been with her through thick and thin, and is someone whom hanyoung can rely on and get a sense of security from. a mutual understanding still exists between the two of them, and for both sides, life would definitely be very empty without the other person, but there are certain things that can't be helped, especially if hanyoung starts getting extremely close to a certain coursemate.

kibum has always known that minkyung and jaebum were extremely close, but not to that extent. his suspicions were aroused when he was driving, and he saw that minkyung had fallen asleep on jaebum's shoulder in the bus next to him. everything was confirmed when minho admitted to kibum that his sister was cheating on him.

kibum took it pretty well, perhaps he expected it because their relationship was getting bland, but he was still deeply hurt by the betrayal. he confronted minkyung about it, and minkyung admitted to it. they didn't break up though, because they still loved each other, and minkyung was sorry about everything. however, kibum started coming home later, and there would be heavy silences in the house. he would give minkyung the cold shoulder with occasional actions which showed that he still cared, like making her breakfast or staying up to wait for her if she came home late, but that was pretty much it. minkyung never knew how to broach the topic so she'd just go with the flow, which makes it seemed like she wasn't doing anything to make it up to kibum.
