Hanyoung is a very candid girl. She's basically no filter around people she's comfortable with and trusts, and would often shoot off without thinking twice. She's very honest, sometimes even brutally honest, but that's what many of her friends value about her because when given a choice, she would never sugarcoat her words and you can always get the truth out of her. She's unable to lie, and when she does try, the guilt is usually written all over her face or seen in her eyes. Hanyoung is naturally kind-hearted, she always wants the best for her loved ones even if she doesn't show it. She's one to unconditionally go the extra mile for her loved ones.
Charismatic, Hanyoung often has people wrapped around her fingers without even trying. There's just something about her which grooms her into a natural leader and has her peers listening to her. Hanyoung is always optimistic, and is often able to find something good in everything, because she lives by the belief that "everything happens for a reason". Hanyoung has a quirky sense of humour and always has a witty comeback ready for her friends. A bit of an airhead, Hanyoung is often the target of her friends' pranks because her reactions are slow and since she's gullible, Hanyoung often doesn't know what hit her. However, she's pretty humorous and hence wouldn't easily take offence, and would even laugh along with you at herself. When she's tired, it's like something in her is triggered to make her extra clumsy, tell stupid jokes and sometimes even unable to string words into a proper sentence. Hanyoung is often described as chic or sassy by her peers, but while she trolls on her peers a lot and talks in a sharp and sarcastic tone, she's seen as rude to people who don't know her well.
Despite her amiable girl-next-door image, hanyoung has her fair share of flaws. Growing up as the youngest of her family, Hanyoung is slightly pampered and is aggressive in getting what she wants. She may be principled, but she's also headstrong and knows exactly what she wants. When she doesn't get her way, she whines a lot at first but would get over it in a day or too. Hanyoung is also proudhearted, and that's probably the biggest flaw that even she herself acknowledges. while her pride allows her to be confident, the same pride prevents her from being alone. she cannot handle being alone, and always has to have a friend accompany her to the cafeteria etc. Her pride also prevents her from seeking help when she needs to, and she'd often try to solve her problems herself.
Hanyoung is also pretty ignorant, and she often looks past menial things which cause her to get scolded by her dad because it makes her look arrogant. She doesn't have a vast amount of general knowledge and would accept ideas which are presented to her without much questioning. She isn't observant at all, and is often unaware of situations she's in. Hanyoung is also a huge procrastinator, and she's quite tardy when it comes to appointments or homework.
Background:
Hanyoung grew up in a family of four. She had average grades and average looks, but came from a well-to-do family background. She's lucky that there are no major conflicts in her family, other than the occassional disagreements. Her parents may be caught up with work, but Hanyoung's family is still pretty close-knit, and she lives a much less complicated life than most well-to-do teens. One would expect her and her brothers to be chaebols, but their father's been nice enough not to force a career on his children, and both siblings were lucky enough to experience a normal childhood instead of being pressurised about everything. Hanyoung's never been a goody-two-shoes, she did things like sneaking into r-rated movies and staying out past curfew, but also never did anything very illegal. Always under the protection of her parents and brother, Hanyoung would be considered a pretty sheltered child.
When she was 13, just after she graduated middle school, her father decided to relocate the family to California, Los Angeles to expand his financial business there, while his business partner handled the business in Korea. Hanyoung moved over, where she learnt English and picked up conversational mandarin as part of the school curriculum. Now at 17, the business in the US has finally been setlled and left in the hands of people Hanyoung's father can finally trust, so her parents decided to bring the family back to Korea.

They are often partners-in-crime when playing pranks on people or just laughing a heck lot over nothing. Jongin is also someone whom Hanyoung trusts and they aren't afraid to share their problems with one another.

PERSONALITY: Chic and suave, Jaebum gets by with his personality and a smile on a shoe shine. He has a way of wrapping people around his fingers, and his alluring smile often lead to people falling for him. Boisterous, Jaebum isn't afraid to try new things and is often a trendsetter. He's very approachable and usually gets along with everyone, hence his popularity. Jaebum likes meeting new people and making new friends. He's charismatic, and there's an aura around him which allow people to trust him almost instantly. Quickwitted, Jaebum is a huge jokester and would always have witty comebacks ready for his friends.
Jaebum is fricking cocky. Because of his popularity even before becoming an idol, Jaebum's confidence is sky high and he's very full of himself. While he doesn't praise himself, Jaebum isn't used to not being in the spotlight and would inch his way towards it. He tries to fit himself in centrestage, which makes him come off as trying too hard. Jaebum, however, can't help it, since he's a er for attention.
However, Jaebum has his plus points. Even if he may not seem like it, Jaebum is actually pretty responsible and knows when to not cross the line. He has a lot of self-control so he jokes never really go too far. He's thoughtful, and always looks out for his close friends, through small actions of asking them about their day, or offering them food if they haven't eaten. He's a natural leader and often uses his popularity as good influence. Determined, he doesn't give up easily and would always chase for what he thinks is best.
HOW YOU MET/WILL MEET: Jaebum and Hanyoung first crossed paths when they were 12. Hanyoung had Jaebum as a table partner, and she was pretty uncomfortable with it because for so many years, she's had Soojung as her table partner. Furthermore, Jaebum had fangirls in school and Hanyoung was afraid of offending them and creating hate for herself. The pair was very awkward for the first day, but Jaebum constantly poked at her shell to try to get her to open up.
When Hanyoung moved away, the two said they would keep in touch, but as their lives got busier each day, they soon lost contact altogether. At 16, a certain Im Jaebum debuted as JB, and Hanyoung immediately recognised him - she recognised that smile anywhere. When she moved back at 17, Hanyoung didn't expect to be enrolled back in the same school with Jaebum. She found out that Jaebum was in the homeroom next to hers, and they had certain classes together, an example being Chemistry.
INTERACTIONS: Hanyoung and Jaebum bicker over the smallest things, from the way they sit in class to the way they do their work, but they're actually pretty close to each other because of their similar personalities. They're comfortable with each other, which is the reason why they're so straightforward and are able to go against each other all the time, knowing that the other person wouldn't take (much) offence. Jaebum teases and makes fun of her just for the fun of it, but Hanyoung does it not only to get back at Jaebum, but also as an attempt to play hard to get as she doesn't want Jaebum to seem that he has her affections so easily. After all, Jaebum has tons of fangirls and Hanyoung is probably the first to be so candid with him. They find the stupidest reasons to say 'no' to each other, and their conversations often end up in squabbling because neither side wants to give in to each other. However, they do have (very occasional) friendly moments where they share food or help each other out in class when they're confused.
There are times when Jaebum's immaturity annoys the heck out of Hanyoung, but then again she sees the way he's so surprisingly hardworking and focused in the way he does things, and she finds her soft spot for him all over again. As for Jaebum, he just sticks with Hanyoung because she's someone whom Jaebum knows is genuine, instead of all his fangirls who only want to know him because of fame.
When Hanyoung returned to Korea, while Jaebum still remembers who she is, the two hardly interacted for the first two weeks. They would just glance at each other before quickly looking away after having eye contact, and continue hanging with their own cliques. The awkward 4-year gap in their friendship made it difficult for them to click again, until they were put together as lab partners. As they regularly sat next to each other for subjects Hanyoung was weak in, she would often bug Jaebum to teach her certain concepts and soon, the two had their own friendship back. However, Hanyoung could sense that Jaebum was trying to keep a distance away from her because of his new idol status, and she respects that, so their friendship only goes to what Jaebum is comfortable with. The two of them text a lot, and while they don't interact every day, they would sometimes go out or stay back in school to study together when Jaebum doesn't have schedules. Their relationship was definitely more distant than what they shared back in middle school, but times change, and people change too. Hanyoung is just glad that their friendship isn't completely gone.

PERSONALITY: Tae Eun is a very bubbly and talkative girl. She always has something to say about different situations at hand and would always chime in to make herself heard. She's someone who has many creative ideas at the back of her mind, and would pitch them whenever possible. She's honestly very talented, and also one of the more popular girls in her grade because of her ability to influence her peers.
However, Tae Eun would do so in a highly exaggerated matter. An airhead, she screams at the slightest things and often overreacts. She would act cute to attain the attention of other, and would show off her knowledge and skills to whoever she knows. Tae Eun is a very blunt person, and isn't afraid to show who she likes and who she doesn't. She has a huge habit of talking behind people's backs and spreading gossip.
HOW YOU MET/WILL MEET: Tae Eun and Hanyoung are in the same dance club in both middle and high school.
INTERACTIONS: Hanyoung and Tae Eun are very hostile to each other; they don't talk and sometimes even not acknowledge each other's presence. Hanyoung really hates having to talk to Tae Eun because of the way the latter phrases things and her two-faced personality. Hanyoung would avoid conversation at all cost, but when they do need to talk, Hanyoung would be unable to look at Tae Eun in the eye. Tae Eun, on the other hand, would roll her eyes and often shoot down Hanyoung's ideas.
The sight of the two of them just really irk each other.
HOW THEY ARE YOUR RIVAL: Hanyoung and Tae Eun used to be pretty good friends back in middle school. Even when people spoke harshly of Tae Eun, Hanyoung wouldn't be able to see her bad sides, and was still able to tolerate her overreactions to almost everything. However, everything changed when Hanyoung met Jaebum. While Tae Eun was someone Hanyoung could trust at that point, Hanyoung often talked to Tae Eun about Jaebum. Tae Eun soon got jealous of their relationship and started thinking that Hanyoung and Jaebum were getting too close for comfort. She started chiding Hanyoung and told her to watch her boundaries, but Hanyoung really didn't know what the whole problem was about, and soon got angry at Tae Eun's overreation to their friendship. While Hanyoung stopped telling Tae Eun things, Tae Eun started speaking of Hanyoung behind her back to her other friends, about how Hanyoung flirts with Jaebum all the time, incurring the wrath of Jaebum's 'fangirls'. Hanyoung was glad when she was able to move away to escape the rumours, and Tae Eun was glad that not only was she able to avoid Hanyoung, she could also give starting a friendship with Jaebum a shot.
Now, back in the same high school, bad memories of what happened so many years ago still haunts the two of them, and they still get on each other's nerves. Unconsciously, the two of them are often competing for Jaebum's attention, but Hanyoung refuses to admit it.
